I just adopted a new baby Guinea pig for my boy at home, snowball, who’s been very lonely for about a year and a half now. I was so scared because of the fights him and my passed away Guinea pig, chewy, have gotten into. They lived separately for about 2 years right next to each other until he passed about a year and a half ago from some tumors. Snowball has been lonely ever since. Yesterday I built a c&c cage, which is 2 1/2 feet by 6 foot and snowball loves it. It’s a huge upgrade from the Midwest he was in. So much more room for tunnels and running. Today I brought home the baby and immediate success!!!!! After about 2 hours of bonding they are now cuddling sleeping in the cage and together! I am so happy that this worked out. There was not a single bit of aggressive behavior between them. I’m hoping to see if I can possibly bring in a 3 Guinea pig as well. Anyway, thank you so much your videos are so helpful!! Eventually I’m going to have about as many piggies as you
That’s amazing!! I do want to warn you that male pigs usually do best in pairs, and adding a third can break the bond of the original two. I wouldn’t want you to end up with single pigs again.
@@laylasharqawi12 I have never attempted it myself but I can’t be sure. A lot of times the bond works at first (especially if two of them are young) but then as they hit the hormonal stage issues can arise. Some people do have successful boar trios tho! It’s very dependent on personality.
ooh I can’t wait for the spring cage themes! the mushroom hideout is such a nice little house! all of Austin’s stuff from his shop looks super high quality 😍 I really love your editing, great video autumn! 🤍
Would be cool to see a cottagecore theme, I have a cutesy woodland/cottagecore theme permanently in my cages! Got a lil mushroom house too (by pampered piggies in the UK if anyone is interested) :)
I buy from the Well kept Rabbit, they're really good! I also just bought that mushroom house, it's SO cute! I think I'm going to start buying that Aspen from Tractor Supply, I put some very soft kiln dried pine over a layer of aspen, so it's soft on the piggies feet, but aspen is more absorbent. That aspen doesn't really look bad, some knock off brands have large chunks of wood and have to be removed, even Small Pet Select aspen is a little coarse, it's a heavier wood, that's why I always put about 3 quarters of an inch of very fluffy soft pine on top. How is Honey and Stardust doing?! How about an update one day, lol!
You should mix the NATURALS salad thing with the pellets if your guinea pigs like it that’s what I do and it makes them Forage to get their pellets to get their food
Aww that's the mushroom house I have for my hedgehog pancake! She loves it, but she gets it really nasty since it's white haha. Also it always falls over. 😅
hi, i got a question! so my 2 female guinea pigs get along, but since i moved them into a new cage one of my females, is being a bit mean to the other female whenever the other female goes next to her fav hidey, she will chase her off, any tips? 🤞
That's the aspen bedding that I use. For some reason, their product has inconsistencies...sometimes the flakes can be larger than usual. What I like is the price. I've personally never used the Kaytee bedding though. Also, who else wishes they were friends with Austin so they could get a bunch of stuff from him? lol
I need to take my rabbit to the vet because he’s losing fur around his tail and he’s never had vaccinations and he needs to be fixed but we leave for a trip in 2 days so I have no time. And also I’m 14 and I just can’t afford it and my parents won’t spend more than 100 dollars so I don’t know what to do. Would you have any tips for me?? Also I just love your videos. God bless you!
I’m so sorry your parents won’t help out more. This is why I only advocate for kids having pets if their parents are 100% on board. Honestly, the best thing you can do is surrender him to a rescue where he can get the proper medical care and vaccinations that he needs and deserves.
@@autumngrace. well I’m already having to rehome 3 of my rabbits. My parents already paid for his vet visit the first time but his symptoms came back. And the vet we went to wasn’t very experienced with rabbits it was just the cheapest I could find. I messaged the only rabbit rescue remotely close to me about my other rabbits and they did not respond. I’ve been breeding rabbits outdoors in terrible cages and after many losses I’ve decided I want to give my rabbits good lives indoors and find them good homes I’m just really struggling to find resources because we don’t have a local rescue. The one I messaged is an hour away. I’ve just lost so much lately and I don’t know what it is about this one rabbit but I just can’t lose him. He’s in my room along with 2 babies but sadly I still have one outside. So I just have to figure out how to make over $500 in a day just for the one rabbit and find homes for the other 3. It’s impossible. My dad is making me give them to people who are just gonna keep them outside in tiny cages alone and I have no choice because we are leaving. And I started a gofundme but it didn’t make anything so im just at a loss. If it were my $300 cockatiel that got sick they would pay, or my $300 Great Pyrenees they would pay, but rabbits are not a pet in their eyes and it took everything from me to get them to let me keep just the one in my room. I just don’t know what to do
@@BlessedWithPets an hour away is fairly close for a rescue. what state do you live in? maybe I can find a rescue that will come to your house and pick them up. I know it’s already too late, but frankly, breeding your rabbits when you knew you couldn’t provide them proper housing or medical care was incredibly irresponsible. It’s best you find new homes for all of them if you can’t give them the medical care they deserve. I’m glad you’ve realized something needs to change, and hopefully you can find a rescue that will take them in. Unfortunately you chose to breed them and these are the sad but inevitable consequences
@@BlessedWithPets I remember you leaving comments about breeding rabbits months ago and people warned you not to, that it would go wrong. And here we are. I hope you will learn from this mistake - let me know if you need help finding a rescue.
@@autumngrace. well I know my mistakes and I’m just trying to improve. And I want to get them all spayed and neutered. But I just can’t afford them all so I do need someone to rescue them. I live near shreveport louisiana. And tomorrow is my last day at home. Before we will be gone for 2 and a half weeks. I want to keep the one but I want the others to go to good homes. And it would be amazing if you could help me find a rescue. I’m not even sure the one I messaged is still in business cause I called 3 times no answer, emailed and texted them no response and their website would not pull up.
I have a funny story that happened yesterday 😂 so, I had to take my bunny to the vet yesterday (he is fine, he's on meds for a few days). Until then, we all called him 'her' because he was advertised as female with his sister. Then the vet told me, "Shock number one: Ziva is a boy." And he showed me his testies. I'm not really educated on rabbit genitalia, so I really learnt a lot and I'm trying to learn all I can about male rabbits. Idk why, I just think it's funny. I am going to get him a friend in the future, but situations at home need to be better and Ziva has been all round the garden, and he's not allowed in the house, so when I move out, he is living in with me and I am going to get more rabbits ❤
How you were like “apparently I bought 2, apparently I bought 3.” Is how I am every shopping excursion 😂😂😂

Awww I love your videos! Can you do a video where you answer public commented questions?
Always love these vids!
Awesome video
How did the texture/size of the wood flakes compare between the TS Aspen and SPS Aspen?
They actually seemed to be the same, I didn’t notice much of a difference between the two
How often do you give them the forage?
The rabbits get forage every day and the piggies get theirs a few times a week since it’s higher in sugars!
I wonder if it was the mushroom bed from my cage pics I emailed you that you're referring to haha
Maybe! 😅 I know I saw it in an email at one point
What size are your tables and whared you get them at?
They are 30” by 6ft folding tables from Walmart
Ty
Do you know how many guineapigs they hold I have 9 and I'm trying to switch them up to tables

yeah it's def not my favorite aspen, but it does the job! i really like the kaytee one and find that one to have the finest flakes consistently
Hi how long should you have guineas on young guinea pellets
You can do it until six months
Were do you find those wachable pads for under fleece?
I’ve added a link in the description!
