ive gotten two guinea pigs since you last posted. been working hard to try and spoil them like you do your pigs. i rescued the first one along with a ferret from my old friends boyfriend cause his mom was kicking them. i may not have everything to make them super happy but its definitely an upgrade from where they started. watching your videos motivates me to do everything in my power to show them the love they deserve

Heya, if u want an easy way to help put weight on piggies add some natural bran to their bowls. We use this at our rescue in the UK and it works a treat and totally piggie safe. If u buy in bulk (x1 large sack) it will last you a whole without large spending. Hope this helps ❤️❤️ good to see you back x
They look so fun and easy to take care of! I have quail, which need quite similar things in many ways, but changing them out is a pain. Their poop always gets super stuck to the bottom of the cage and needs scraping off, I couldn't believe it when I saw how easily you can just hoover it all up! And that fabric bedding looks so cute! My quail have hay bedding that gets thrown away when it gets dirty, but those look super easy to put in the wash! Sometimes I used to give my quail a towel under their hay, but even under the hay it got super dirty - needed shaking out, lumps of poop pulled off, and then a long wash at 90C, and even then it came out discoloured. Safe to say I don't use towels anymore, but I had some birds that used to slip around easily so needed a towel underneath, but those have died now. It's ok they were 4 years old so they had a good life.
I’ve missed you and I don’t even own guinea pigs! Your channel vibe is so comforting! Welcome bag and congratulations on the new pig room layout and piggies!
I'm pretty sure my mum got my childhood guinea pig for herself more than for me and my brother. Basically, me and my brother had pet rabbits that were absolutely wild and couldn't be tamed (I was 3/4 at the time so didn't understand why I couldn't play with my rabbit). So they had to be given away. We still had all the equipment and supplies when my parents went to the pet store to get some supplies for our cockatiel. My mum always liked seeing the rabbits and guinea pigs at the store, and went over to the den to look at them. She noticed that Benny (our subsequent guinea pig) was being bullied by the other guinea pigs and ended up bring home more than bird seed! Benny always had his Sunday lunch of broccoli and carrots, had a run in the garden, and when we moved house, he had to be put in the back of the lorry, but my mum stayed until the last minute and he was the first out a the other end (a 5 minute drive away). He would have gone in the car but Paddy the Cockatiel had that space and she was more dramatic.
Unfortunately I lost one of my piggies the other day. But seeing you back on RUclips has made my day, so excited to sit and watch this with my little pig 🩷
No need to apologize. Your videos have been so helpful and I’m still watching some from a couple years back! 😃 I subscribed to your page before getting ours about a month ago and I definitely felt super confident bringing them home and caring for them. ❤
So good to see you all back❤ So glad to see you are well. Sorry to hear about your frightening experience. Both Mikey and Bambi are adorable. Bambi is the sweetest baby. He is such a great coat. Just adorable ❤
I now have 3 piggy’s! I have a 5 1/2 year old boy pig and just rescued 2 boys that are 2 Years old, the two rescued pigs already bonded as well! You’ve helped me get confident enough to save my two new piggies and give them the best possible care! I love your videos and thank you for sharing your knowledge about Guinea pigs with us🫶🏽
I'm watching it with my dog and when he saw your octopus, he jumps out off bed and goes to the living room for his favorite toy and comes back to watch
Not gunna lie my heart dropped when you mentioned Ollie wasn’t anywhere lucky I was immediately relieved and I’m so glad to see you and all your piggies again
I am so glad you are back and that you are okay! I was actually just going to go to your channel to see if I had accidentally been unsubscribed, as I have heard that can happen. I must tell you my piggie story Austin; I will try to keep it brief. A few years ago, due to the sudden onset of a life-altering (not life-threatening) illness, I could no longer financially or physically take care of my beautiful sister pigs ZuZu and Willow. I had no choice but to rehome them. They went to an amazing home and although I know it was best for them and for me, I was devastated. For at least a full year, I couldn't even look at a piggie and the sound of their wheeks gave me a pang in my heart and brought tears to my eyes. One day, one of your videos popped up on my feed and something told me to click on it. I subscribed almost immediately. I credit you with breaking down that wall, and allowing me to enjoy the piggie life again, even if it is vicariously through you. I will never unsubscribe. I am a fan for life. ❤🐹
Hi, Austin! I’m so happy you’re back, I need some tips with my set ups. So basically whenever I do my cage cleans the cage is perfectly fine for the first day. obviously some poops throughout the day typical but by the second day, my piggies start going under their fleece, and it kind of aggravates me because then they poop under their fleece and it’s so much more for me to clean up, and then I have to tear apart their entire cage instead of a spot clean. so if you could please give me some tips. I would love that!❤
i use blankets instead of mats like austin so i understand. i use binder clips to keep the down on the side. i also offer little fleece from the dollar store, like baby blankets? for them to burrow in and little burrow hides. i haven’t had problems since besides my one trouble maker boy who has now learned how to take the binder clips off!
So happy you are back to RUclips. Definitely get an X-ray of Ollies head. Saskia always says teeth problems are usually caused by an underlying condition. The X-ray of his head will show if he has CBS, Calcified Bulla Syndrome.
I wonder if Ollie lost weight because he is more active ? Since he is in a bigger cage with friends, running around more has made him get in shape ? :) that would be the best scenario I think
Great to see your back and the piggies. Looks like the piggies are doing well, I hope nothing is wrong with Alli or that you find out and can help him, he seemed to be so cozy with his new heard so I want him to be able to experience that. Makes me always so happy to hear when single boys find a friend or a whole herd and to see them happy and active. I'm curious about the mystery illness your dogs have if you would be interested in talking about it, what are the symptoms and how did you notice. Hope the dogs get better soon. Welcome back to youtube.
I think he's referring to the Mystery Illness that's been going around the whole country, and can be very deadly. It's a respiratory illness with similar symptoms to kennel cough and pneumonia.
I’ve been watching your videos recently and have found them interesting. I’m living in the ‘over 3score and10’ realms of life now, no pets to look after any more. When my children were small I went through the whole gambit of small critters and ended up with 2 poodles who filled our lives with joy and were remarkably sturdy and strong. But…… I was given 2 Guinea pigs many many moons ago and thus began our adventures. That first little girl was pregnant and watching that whole story unfold was the most beautiful thing we had encountered in the world of ‘pets’. Guinea pigs are outstanding parents and watching all that was wonderful. Have you ever had pregnant Guineas?
So excited you’re back! Also, I asked on your live the other day about whether some guinea pigs are more confident in herds than in pairs, and per your advice, I rescued two more girls. It’s only been about two hours but it’s been a very boring bonding session so far, which I know is usually a good sign. So thank you for the advice!
It's so great to see you back! You are a piggy parent I look up to very much. I am actually so glad to see you talking about rehoming your boys. I have recently been grappling with this myself. I never thought I'd ever rehome any animal. I bring them in to be their forever. Sadly I have to rehome 4 out of my herd of six. I originally wanted 2 and I was offered a pair of ladies but 1 is 7 and one is 2. I knew that I was going to have to find the 2 year old a friend and I'd hoped to do it before my older lady passed. I was then offered 2 more girls that were also 2 years old. Which on paper should have been perfect but they clashed to the point of blood. I followed all of the rules and it just wasn't a match. So I ended up with 2 cages. Then my bond broke with my golden girl and her cage mate. So I ended up with a split cage. Then I saw a post for a lovely lady whose daughter had 2 boys that wound up with a baby in their cage after 3 years! It turns out one was a girl! I was heart broken because the boy was taken out of the cage and put in a laundry basket. I ended up finding a home for the boy and I took the mama and baby. Of course the baby turned out to be a boy! So I have to rehome him and then his mama will be alone. She and the other girls don't get along either. More blood was drawn. So I now how 3 full size cages in a tiny apartment. I am physically disabled, so this is not a good thing. I just can not keep up! This I have come to the realization that I can not keep them all. Luckily, the baby is going to go live with his dad. And the same lady said she may take one of my girls that she fell in love with while she was here. Sadly my little old lady is in the process of shutting down. I do not expect her to last through the day. She went off her food and has just barely nibbled a lettuce leaf in 2 days. I am just keeping her quiet, comfy, cozy and loved to ease her into passing. 😢. It eases my mind to know that I'm not a bad person to rehome my girls. Thank you for sharing that! Welcome back sweetie!
Hi, just wanted to say I‘ve kept piggies for many years and I would personally recommend to switch to a more diverse structured hay. This will help improve their teeth quite a bit and keep even those who are not big chewers from developing dental problems :) This was recommended to me by my piggy specialized vet a few years ago and it worked wonders, even for my sick piggy.
found your vids on a guinea pig binge brought on by the algorithm tossing me your rescue vids, and watched through especially to see progress on Ariel, and if you told me that the pig now was the pig in the rescue vid I'd have called you a liar, that does not look like the same wheeking spud! You're an inspo for when we hopefully get some piggies of our own finally (planning on it but our house plans are too up in the air atm) I'll def keep your store in mind for when its time to stock up on hides and toys and treats
I'm getting two pigs soon! I have a normal sized cage, and a big running cage for them ready! I'll also turn my upstairs room into a piggy heaven, similiar to what you have!
Nice to see that you are back! My Harriet loves orchard hay and any hay balls, she will go crazy for! My Harriet is a skinny and so I especially have a fondness for Ollie. They don't look it, but they are tough and will be thinking of Ollie to feel better!
It's pronounced ca-len-due-la (calendula flower, related to the marigold, orange flowers that have natural healing properties) I used to work at a herb farm, and we would pick and dry these flowers. They were used in oils, soaps, and sprays.
I’m so happy to see you back on RUclips 😊 But I totally understand that you’ve been super busy with everything. Geez, I’m glad you guys are ok after the car incident. All your piggies are so darn adorable 🥰 I hope Ollie gains some weight and does ok. Btw, my piggies are still enjoying the giant hay ball I got for them months ago. Your piggy toys last so much longer and are a much better value than the ones online or at pet stores!
So happy to see you back on RUclips! You should do a box with one of every toy from your store. Or like a mystery toy each month. Idk I feel like that could be so cool!
Omg Am so glad you guys are ok! 😳 And I wanted to tell you I’ve placed 2 orders & got a Halloween box in the last couple months the quality is amazing Thankyou for good quality reasonable priced products! As you Am sure you know pig stuff can be so over priced & low quality your care & quantity is definitely seen! 🙏💙🎄
Glad your back! Aww it was so cute to see your doggies play i have a Maltese/yorkie mix too they call them morkies so cute i recently lost my pet fish i had so now i just have my dog and my 2 parrots but it's defenetly a treat to watch your videos it's just so calming to watch very cute piggies❤❤❤
No, you are not saying calendula correctly. But you were very close and it was super cute! I'm glad you took some time to refresh yourself. I missed seeing updates and getting inspiration from you.
I mean it sucks to be rehoming, but they probably are happier with other pigs. Neutering isn't the end of the world. 2 of my pet rats are neutered as well.
We rescued 3 guinea pigs from a lady who was essentially hoarding them for her daughter. They had bred them, knowing nothing, and had ended up with a group of 20+ guinea pigs that were very skittish and insecure. I rescued a pair, Cashmere and Crookshanks that have been together since birth and were apparently very aggressive when they were separated or introduced to other guinea pigs (They have now been living with our 4 original boys for a year issue free and they are a lot more confident), and the third, bear was bred with 4 of their girls and then basically kept in a hamster cage on his own. He loves being handled, but he is very aggressive to other pigs. We tried to introduce him to Cash and Crookshanks at first, but he attacked crook shanks and bit his neck, and he has done the same with the kind of 'leader' of our OG group aswell. Does anyone have any advice to socialise him and get him used to other guinea pigs? It's awful for him to only be able to see them through the cage but we don't want him or our other guineas to be injured. I feel like nothing we try is working
there is such a thing as a doggie dog. that way, you dont need to leave the door open all year round :)AND, you wont have to worry so much about flies:)
I just recently got my 4 piggies some alfalfa and orchard grass mix and have gotten the stink eye every time I refill their hay shacks and piggie piles! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I thought I was getting them a special treat because they always get Timothy hay but apparently my piggies aren't fans of change or something. 😅 Idk what the deal is but I've got a giant bale of the alfalfa/orchard grass mix that they don't appreciate like I thought they would. 😬🤣 Glad you're all okay after that crazy accident! Your dogs are just as cute as your piggies. 🥰
Hi! Where are you located? I have a couple Guinea girls that need a new home, I am moving where they will not accept any animals. I do not want to I love them.
so i started watching your vids after i seen a guinea pig at the local mom and pop pet store by me that i wanna bring home it all alone and seems sad my ? is do they need cage mates and what is a good size cage for guinea pigs i did some research but some of the info i seen online doesn't seem to be the best info i was thinking of doing a 3ft by 3ft cage for it but wanna make sure thats a good size cage
Where do u get there cage from also i have 4 guinea pigs 2 in which hate eachother hVe any idea of what size cage to get and what cage to get? Btw LOVE ur videos❤❤
I'm a relatively new subscriber and was so happy when I found your channel. Your piggies are so adorable. I'm looking forward to checking out your guinea pig store. On the topic of your dogs, may I ask what breed of dog Bambi is? They are both so cute.
@@ThePigRoom Thank you so much for replying. I could definitely see the Yorkie in Bambi as I've always had that breed. What a perfect mixture of two breeds who are such lovely dogs. I've always said if I hadn't fallen in love with Yorkies I would have chosen a Maltese.
Hiya! I ordered something from your website on the 1st of October but NOTHING happened!!!! I'm not try to put you under pressure but I spent 64 euro 💶 on your website and it kinda went to waist 😭 and it was for my girlys birthday!!! So I went and got more treats and bath mats and spent another 64 euro!! What happened??
@@ThePigRoom thanks, but the delivery address was in US. You took the money but no delivery? Why? The amount was in euros as that option is available on the website
We miss you, but I think we all understand if you have to post less. You might want to reduce your posting goal keeping in mind you have less time
ive gotten two guinea pigs since you last posted. been working hard to try and spoil them like you do your pigs. i rescued the first one along with a ferret from my old friends boyfriend cause his mom was kicking them. i may not have everything to make them super happy but its definitely an upgrade from where they started. watching your videos motivates me to do everything in my power to show them the love they deserve

I can’t believe the mum kicked them! I have 5 Guinea pigs! I ❤them to bits!
@@conlon4332 they have separate spaces that I upgraded since I got them. I can't afford to keep a second ferret at the moment but once I get a better job I'm planning on getting her a buddy. I know most people don't agree with it but she seems to like my cat enough to keep her distracted for now

As you Am sure you know pig stuff can be so over priced & low quality your care & quantity is definitely seen! 🙏💙🎄
They are marigold flowers and good for piggies….😀

So glad you are back. I would like to send something I have made for the pups. Where can I send that?
No, you are not saying calendula correctly. But you were very close and it was super cute!
I'm glad you took some time to refresh yourself. I missed seeing updates and getting inspiration from you.
I've been waiting for so long, this comeback was unexpected!😭🥳
We missed you❤
Me too I had a Jeep compass and I loved it
Yaya! You are back!!!!!!!!! I missed seeing videos from you!!!!
Ohhhhhh❤ missed you!
Glad you're all okay after that crazy accident! Your dogs are just as cute as your piggies. 🥰
Hi! Where are you located? I have a couple Guinea girls that need a new home, I am moving where they will not accept any animals. I do not want to I love them.
Welcome back!
14:45 / 18:47 where is that red floral fleece from it is adorable! ✨ glad to hear you’re well. 😊
I found it at the thrift store! It was such a good find ❤
Your dogs are so cute.
I take diablo to places with me and he loves it & more so when people give him attention
so i started watching your vids after i seen a guinea pig at the local mom and pop pet store by me that i wanna bring home it all alone and seems sad my ? is do they need cage mates and what is a good size cage for guinea pigs i did some research but some of the info i seen online doesn't seem to be the best info i was thinking of doing a 3ft by 3ft cage for it but wanna make sure thats a good size cage
We adopted one piggy how do we get them a second or third? Should I adopt 2 more I have a 5 by 3 C&C cage. We can make it bigger.
You're finally back? I legit just checked your page to see where you were like an hour before you posted this is so funny
Glad your back enjoy your videos! also didn't know there was a dog disease going around should people in Nebraska be concerned about it?
What is the vacuum you use to clean the cages?
A shopvac ❤

Where do u get there cage from also i have 4 guinea pigs 2 in which hate eachother hVe any idea of what size cage to get and what cage to get? Btw LOVE ur videos❤❤
He makes them himself with C&C grids and coroplast.he says in this video 5 sqft per pig so for 2 pigs a 3 grid by 5 grid cage for each pair.
Can we get billie some friends now? 😊
yay!! new vid!!!!!
me and my famly love giny pigs ahh
Good with a vet visit but couldnt it be the neutering that is partly to blame for weight loss (muscle mass)?
I'm a relatively new subscriber and was so happy when I found your channel. Your piggies are so adorable. I'm looking forward to checking out your guinea pig store. On the topic of your dogs, may I ask what breed of dog Bambi is? They are both so cute.
Bambi is a Yorkie Maltese!
Your pets are super adorable oh my goodness! What breed is Bambi?
