    I really like your videos because you share insights about the equipment and you do it in such an aesthetically pleasing way! As a videographer, I like the details you use; your b-roll, lighting, acting, and scripting are on point.

    Thank you so much for your great videos and taking the time to answer our questions. I have the ResMed AirSense 11 and I wash my OUTLET CONNECTOR (Outlet Adapter) once a week with everything else. My question is how often should you replace the outlet connector? Once a year? Once every 5 yrs? The manual doesn't say and I'm sure it must wear out sooner or later like everything else. Thanks

      You are very welcome!
      The air outlet adapter doesn't need to be replaced as per ResMed unless you have lost/broken it.

    Hi! What about the filter? How and how often should it be clean and replaced?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Год назад

      The filter depends on the device. Each device has different filters and different replacement/cleaning times. I would suggest contacting your provider who your purchased your machine from to see what they advise. Or feel free to give us a call with the make and model of your machine 1866 936 3754.

    my res med headset has a looks like ?paper filter in the nasal part. is it ok to get this immered in soapy water? btw this little peice can be popped out

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Год назад +1

      Yes, the newer N30i and P30i have a filter in the cushion that can pop up! This is to assist with the sound of the air coming from the exhalation port as well as the cool air not bothering bed partners. You can surly get it wet, but I would not add soap to it as it may be difficult to get the soap completely out. Ensure to change your nasal cushion every 3 months as the filter may carry excess bacteria.

      @@RespShop thank you for your concise and applicable information. i use vinegar as a cleaning agent, so i will just immerse the whole headset I wish it was possible to just change out the pillow and not have to do the whole headset. it seems so wasteful to have to replace the whole thing.

    7:06 I hung the hose like you did for draining, but after two days it still had water in the tubing. I literally had to put it straight from a height long enough, and in a day, the tubing was dry. I think the water needed to dry by evaporating out.

      Hanging your hose over your shower curtain rod should do the trick, ensure it is a ventilated area. If there is some water droplets that is fine it will evaporate once the air passes through.

      I had the same issue until I bought a HURRICANE DRYER. I put my hose, water chamber and mask in it and it is completely dry in 1 hour.

      @@amiemartin109 I did not know about the hurricane dryer. I will look into it some more. When I hung the hose curved, even after three days it still had water inside.
      Even waiting for a day to see if it dried when hung up straight sometimes, I would not be able to use it, as it needed like 24 hrs. to dry.
      Thanks for the recommendation.

      I also have noticed that the hose takes forever to dry. What I do now is after I let everything dry for a few hours I let the machine run for 30 mins with my hose on the bed and it seems to blow all the remaining water out. (it probably only needs 15 mins or so, but I set my timer for 30 min's) and that does the trick for me as far as a dry hose.

    Is it safe and effective to clean CPAP components in a UV sanitizer?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 месяца назад

      It is safe to clean CPAP equipment in a UV sanitizer - there's no risk of ozone (ozone irritates the airway and lungs) leaking out from the sanitizer to the room. There's also no risk of accidental UV light exposure. The UV lights only turn on when the lid is closed.
      As for effectiveness, UV sanitizers kill bacteria and viruses but make sure you choose one that uses UVC light. UVC light is the only type of UV light with recognized germicidal properties.
