ngl, Ethan was my favorite character. When i got the ending where he saves shaun but gets shot by the police i was pissed. I stayed up all night trying to get a good ending where he lives. Thankfully i got a really happy ending.
What I don't understand about the Ethan's Grave ending is that, if Madison has proof that Scott is the killer and even novelized the events, why isn't he arrested? He's walking the streets without a care in the world. I guess you could assume he's on the run, but he's not even wearing a disguise.

The events Madison has gathered throughout the game are based on Ethan's actions. That's why they fight when he finds out that she is a report midway through the game. She doesn't have any facts on Scott at all, she only has a made-up story on Ethan.
One thing I don't get about the last ending (when he hangs himself) is how does the evidence match up to him being the killer? To get that ending, he has to be in Police custody and Shaun has to die. Surely if Shaun's body is moved to a wasteland from where he was killed while Ethan was in Police custody he cannot possibly be the Origami Killer? For that to work, he would have to escape from his cell, go to the warehouse, move the body (while finding an orchid and making some origami figures) and then break back into his cell.

It would be rather difficult to then convict him once it was proved that he was in Police Custody when the body was moved from the warehouse to the wasteland. No judge or jury would fall for what Blake would have done
Simon Turner I don't think Scott would move the last body, in most of his endings it's pretty clear he's not a killer anymore. By the way, Scott was the one who set Ethan up, he prepared everything so that he would take the fall if he failed, he must've thought of some way to keep him locked up.

Hello everyone. A while ago I posted a comment saying 'do not get upset if Ethan kills himself'. I realised soon after I made the comment that it sounded stupid and in a way, offensive. I was at the time trying to acknowledge that Ethan killing himself was the right way to go and at that time I thought suicide wasn't as much as a big deal as it actually is. I realise now that suicide is awful and Ethan should not kill himself over thinking of himself as a terrible father and suicide is NEVER the right way to go, no matter how bad things get. Despite this being only a video game, I feel like it still offended some people as maybe they had relatives who committed suicide or maybe they've had suicidal thoughts themselves. If I did offend anyone with my comment, I apologise. At the time of that comment, I was stupid enough to think suicide was ok but in truth, it never is. Man I still remember playing through this game for the first time on the PS3. Awesome game, plot holes and all. I love games that gove you branching paths to change the endings, being able to continue the game even when main characters die off. Crazy how you can really like a character one second and hate them the next minute. I honestly didn't put 2 and 2 together and expect Scott Shelby to be the killer until the flashback scene of his brother dying. Dude seemed like a genuine cool guy, like someone youd be sitting next to at the bar. Once I found out he had killed those kids my mind was blown.

The stories were perfect, but holy shit the writing and showing the emotions was worse then a fucking 4 year old with a crayon and depression. They just stand idly with their plastic, unmoving faces, going "Hey, we're together" or "Forget ethan, don't worry, forget those children and give us another one to lose". God they took it from a 10/10 to a 7 or 8 it just ruined it for me.

I couldnt feel sad for that one because every person who get shot with a gun in this game goes flying back, like in that mission as scott when you kill all them bodyguards
I only found it ridiculous because in a real suicide like that the person wouldn’t fly back. They’d crumple. The gun would slip out of their hands and he’d slump in his chair. The fact that they made him fly backwards dramatically makes the scene feel faked and cheap.
Actually, at first I wanted all characters to get a happy ending. But after I saw truly on the chronicles of the story goes, I don't really care much if Ethan or Madison dies now. Ethan kinda rubs me in the wrong way which makes him very annoying. Madison… well, to me it doesn't matter if she lives or dies.
The first death wasn't depressing because of the way it was portrayed, he flew back comically when he would've just dropped his head onto the desk, the second one though, the feels were hit.
Actually, in order to get the ending Ethan's Grave, Ethan does have to be the one to save Shaun, since Ethan can only die at the old warehouse or in several endings.
Guys commits a lot more suicides, very true and very sad in this video. I remembered first hearing about the game not in 2010 but probably a couple more years later than that. It does certainly retain one of the saddest video game endings.
Exactly this particular ending it would be more appropriate if Loren figures out that Scott is the maniac and shoots him. Because in other outcomes even with lack of evidence she reveals his identity by herself.

He would have been in a coma for 2 of the killings,that automatically should make it impossible to prosecute him for the killings. Hello everyone. A while ago I posted a comment saying 'do not get upset if Ethan kills himself'. I realised soon after I made the comment that it sounded stupid and in a way, offensive. I was at the time trying to acknowledge that Ethan killing himself was the right way to go and at that time I thought suicide wasn't as much as a big deal as it actually is. I realise now that suicide is awful and Ethan should not kill himself over thinking of himself as a terrible father and suicide is NEVER the right way to go, no matter how bad things get. Despite this being only a video game, I feel like it still offended some people as maybe they had relatives who committed suicide or maybe they've had suicidal thoughts themselves. If I did offend anyone with my comment, I apologise. At the time of that comment, I was stupid enough to think suicide was ok but in truth, it never is. I'm sorry to anyone if I offended them and thank you.

Man I still remember playing through this game for the first time on the PS3. Awesome game, plot holes and all. I love games that gove you branching paths to change the endings, being able to continue the game even when main characters die off. Crazy how you can really like a character one second and hate them the next minute. I honestly didn't put 2 and 2 together and expect Scott Shelby to be the killer until the flashback scene of his brother dying. Dude seemed like a genuine cool guy, like someone youd be sitting next to at the bar. Once I found out he had killed those kids my mind was blown.

@@heisenballs6944the police thought he was the origami killer and at different points of the game, he can be arrested. Basically to get the jail ending, he has to be arrested twice (cuz Norman actually breaks them out, cuz he firmly believes he's not the killer) or once after Norman has died.

The stories were perfect, but holy shit the writing and showing the emotions was worse then a fucking 4 year old with a crayon and depression.
They just stand idly with their plastic, unmoving faces, going "Hey, we're together" or "Forget ethan, don't worry, forget those children and give us another one to lose".
God they took it from a 10/10 to a 7 or 8 it just ruined it for me.

Man, of all of the sad endings pack a lot of punch. This is why Ethan is the most depressing video game character of all time.

The timing and sound effect do make the serious scene seem a little silly.
I couldnt feel sad for that one because every person who get shot with a gun in this game goes flying back, like in that mission as scott when you kill all them bodyguards
I only found it ridiculous because in a real suicide like that the person wouldn’t fly back. They’d crumple. The gun would slip out of their hands and he’d slump in his chair. The fact that they made him fly backwards dramatically makes the scene feel faked and cheap.
Actually, at first I wanted all characters to get a happy ending. But after I saw truly on the chronicles of the story goes, I don't really care much if Ethan or Madison dies now. Ethan kinda rubs me in the wrong way which makes him very annoying. Madison… well, to me it doesn't matter if she lives or dies.
The first death wasn't depressing because of the way it was portrayed, he flew back comically when he would've just dropped his head onto the desk, the second one though, the feels were hit.

Actually, in order to get the ending Ethan's Grave, Ethan does have to be the one to save Shaun, since Ethan can only die at the old warehouse or in several endings.
I really like this game, and the music is really beautiful just like the game.
The ending I originally got was the one where Ethan is framed as being the Origami Killer and hangs himself.

Guys commits a lot more suicides, very true and very sad in this video. I remembered first hearing about the game not in 2010 but probably a couple more years later than that. It does certainly retain one of the saddest video game endings.

Exactly this particular ending it would be more appropriate if Loren figures out that Scott is the maniac and shoots him. Because in other outcomes even with lack of evidence she reveals his identity by herself.

He would have been in a coma for 2 of the killings,that automatically should make it impossible to prosecute him for the killings.
Then let's look at the evidence they have:
1.A flimsy story from his ex-wife (Who obviously blamed him for the death of their first son)
2.The statement of the shrink (And the statement probably wouldn't have even held up in court because he was beaten into giving it)
3.(If Ethan was ever arrested once) The small little confession he did.(Which also wouldn't hold up...Because he was also beaten into it)
I never even studied law but i feel like even i could get Ethan out of these charges.All you have to do is mention how flimsy and convenient the wife's story was,strike out the statement of the shrink and Ethan's confession,bring up Agent Jayden as a witness.Bam! Not guilty.

Best Ending: A new Life for Ethan and Madison, case closed and maybe resignation for Norman and Lauren should be alive
+Lamar Davis I got the best IMO, Ethan, Shaun and Madison all lived and (I think) Ethan and Madison got married, and they're looking for a new apartment to live in. Shelby died (good in my eyes). Norman lived, kicked his tripto habit but also hallucinated tanks on his desk in the FBI, not the best ending but certainly not the worst.

The second time , I accidentally got all the clues , so I was forced into a good ending lol
