    I'm so tempted to pick up a 2009 Jetta 2.5L SEL with 90k miles, there's one in fantastic condition (manual too), I'm just not sure about the reliability of it over the next few years

      @MateiAvram  4 года назад +2

      I’ve seen Jettas with 200k miles and still holding up very well so as you long as you take good care of it, you should be good!

    Ooo how I miss this car I owed 2021 vibes bring me back payed 2500 not bad good condition too😢

      @MateiAvram  2 года назад

      I totally agree! It's a very nice car..unfortunately, the 2.5 is not available in Europe..
      You must've had very good deal for 2500$ especially if you say that the condition of the car was good too!

    I need that grill but I’ll put 2.5l badges on it instead of GTi

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  3 года назад +1

      You can definitely find a GTi grille and replace the badge. It shouldn't be more than 100$

    Is this still a nice car to get?? I’m looking a 2010 SE automatic with only 65K miles on it for 7K$. Is that a good deal?

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад +2

      Well, it depends.. The car is still very nice, but the price strictly depends on the condition, mileage and the location. I would say that 6-7k$ would be a reasonable price. I would suggest to check the history of the car you are looking to buy. Frequent issues with VW are the door locks (sometimes they act weird), but nothing than this really :) ....if the car is in a great shape, no bad history, and the most importantly: if you like this model a lot, you should get it!
      The perfect car for you is the one that you like the most..
      Best of luck!

    Is 120,000 miles good on buying a used volkswagen like this one for 5,000$ and how long u think it would last In mileage

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад +1

      it's pretty good. I've seen Jettas going to +250k miles. As long as the previous owner took a good care of it, you should be fine.

    Salut. Am locuit si eu in Boston cativa ani si am avut un 2007 VW Rabbit 2.5. Imi pare rau ca nu l-am adus in Romania

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад +1

      Salut. Motoarele de 2.5 de pe jetta/golf/rabbit sunt super rezistente. Din pacate in consumul nu o sa fie prea ok raportat la pretul carburantului din Romania. Sunt masini foarte faine si mi-ar placea sa vad cat mai multe 2.5-uri in Romania. Lumea probabil sta departe de motorizari asa mari dar pana nu mergi cu un 2.5 nu intelegi de ce e asa faina. In US e plin de VW 2.5...sunt super apreciate..

      @@MateiAvram Daa. Am facut Uber cu el In Boston. Super multumit de sunetul de motor L5 si cutia automata. Si la fete le placea😁. Unde ai locuit in SUA?

      Aproape 100 lei pe lună, impozit.
      După o vreme, te cam enerva chestia asta. (Dar aici, depinde cât produci)
      Plus ca la revânzare, nu mai iei nimic pe o berlină cu motor peste 2000..

    so they do tach that high huh lol. Good, the 2011+ gearing is too tall.

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  Год назад

      Well, it’s a specific sound. Especially the 2.5 with 5 inline will sound a bit higher pitch than a 1.2l, 1.4l, 1.6l or 2.0l.
      The gear ratio depends also on what engine we talk about. The 1.2l doesn’t have the same gearbox as 2.0l, for example.

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад +2

      Not at all..you might have some issues with the suspension. The suspension is soft anyways in order to be comfortable, but not as soft as you describe it. Can you please give me more information about your issues with the car?

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад

      Not really! It depends on how your driving style is, but the fuel consumption is pretty good.

      Matei Avram where can I find it ? Web? Link ?

    • @MateiAvram
      @MateiAvram  4 года назад

      I apologize for getting so late back with a comment! If you are still interested in buying a GTI front grille, you can check on Amazon or eBay. I did some research a while ago and it seems that on Amazon most of the listings for this type of grilles do not include the 2010 version of the Jetta. Most of them say that the grill is just for 2006-2009 Jetta, but in fact, as long as you have an MK5 Jetta, it should fit...
      I really hope that helped! :)
