Extraordinary. In all the diorama videos I’ve watched on YT, this is the first to have a plot and moving parts that aren’t the usual train tracks. I’m stunned that they’re controlled by magnets. What an inspiration, a shame I don’t understand half of what you’re describing.
I am now a very old engineer and as a child I was fascinted by Victorian 'Automatons'. The detail they put in them was outstanding. Yours are the modern version of this OUTSTANDING. My late father built me the most detailed train layout on a big board using the old bakelite 'TTR' (Trix Twin Railway') three track railway. He included stationary cars and as i grew older I tried to devise a way to 'animate' my cars. The closest I got was scalaextric buried in the roads but it couldnt handle tight curves - this was back in the 1960's. Definitely had to subscribe!
Awesome job Sir ! Wow so cool , I also love how you got everything to look wet ,like it's been raining or such , take care! Cheers from Welland Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I really like how well-hidden the transitions between each 'scene' of the cyclist are implemented, using the bushes and the concealment of the original, "healthy" cyclist, with the falling-into-the-bush being a clever way to hide a tunnel. Nicely done! (Oh, and RUclips Recommended brought me to this video before the original. Thanks for that, Susan Wojcicki!)
To all my friends in the States .... In September I visited a fabulous model store in Rapid City, South Dakota, called the Hobby House. The guys there were so friendly and helpful. I wish we had great stores like this here in England!
Pretty sure that you could do the complete animation with a single Arduino, but excellent build and storytelling! The ideas here are on par with the little gimmicks in Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. Looking forward to more content on this channel.
Fantastic animated diorama, with beautiful modeling. If the magnet conveyor for the ambulance could be made to slow to a gradual stop at the accident scene (and then start up again with gaining momentum) its movement would be much more convincing. Likewise, the cyclist's speed could vary here and there for a more realistic presentation. As is it's a little toy-like. That said, mine isn't as nice as yours! All in all, great job. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic, the idea is great, the implementation is extremely well done and the rendering exceptional !! As we say in French, " you have gold in your hands"....
It's interesting how everyone cycles/drives by the poor guy head first in the creek! He did not have NHS, I guess. Congratulations on a superbly built diorama.
That is so brilliant! It's really cute and the best little model I've ever seen. It's got a nice little story that gets wrapped up nicely. (Unless you go further with the idea of reincarnation and if this is a sisyphean character which could get a little complex lol)
Even if the diorama was totally static and wasn't mechanically driven it would still take top prize at a show I was really impressive but I would have opted for a hand cranked version due to the amount of electronic content needed to operate the 2 actions but again that would be my preferred option . It was a really nice build
jolie diorama et très sympathique.il faut "AIMER" le modélisme et je comprends pas tout ces pouces a l'envers.faite le ce n'est pas si facile.bravo a vous
i could only think of one thing that would make this even better. Minions jumpping out of the ambulance and throwing him in there XD really nice project. i actually laughed at the start when i saw how he went flying. XD
I don't have any idea of Magnorail, but is it possible to adjust the speed of the rails so vehicles could accelerate and decelerate instead of stopping instantly?
I loved the animations. Would it be possible to adapt your technology to a 1/35th scale WWII diorama. And, if so would you please let me know where I can get information on the technology. Thanks.
They all seem a bit accident prone in that village looking at the car crashed into the stream as well. It really is a brilliant active landscape. I think we all want one if those cyclist! Well constructed good idea.
Very well done But looks like a lot of work setting up and must be expensive what did all the gear cost please. Also I's love to see a passing car knock him over more believable that him sliding off maybe add a cop car looking for the hit and run car too?
Just fried my brain, too much electronics and magnets in different positions but by heaven that was freaking brilliant!!! Love the lttle pedalling legs👍👌
John Penny I was a paramedic in London for ten years. If we had any injured cyclists as patients, wherever possible, we would try to make room for their bicycles on the journey to hospital.
@@heli-crewhgs5285 Well done you, that's definitely going beyond your duty. My family are eternally grateful for all you NHS people have done for us (myself, wife and elder daughter are cancer survivors, wife has had other awful problems including strokes) So a very big 'thankyou' for all you do.

Quite the death trap that village! Fantastic.
Yes, the grave digger in the church yard is kept very busy!
Love it, very creative use of Magnorail, but, how can ANYONE dislike this?
Absolutely amazing detail and invention , John!!!

Very nicely done and the detail video shots match the dialogue very well. Easy to follow and understand. Thanks, Ronn
This was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this. You are a very talented guy.
Like the story of this piece. Cool use of the rail system.
Thanks for the "making of" - Verry funny and brilliant!
Incredible job, well done! What a great idea for a little story to add to any scene. I am blown away. Happy Modelling! Hans ...
Yes, I'm sure there are little dramas unfolding in everyone's models. Perhaps I might have given people some ideas.

This magnarail stuff is fantastic
Fantastic stuff. Really well done. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Bad luck
He might have a drinking problem.

That was awesome. Nicely done. Fast response from the ambulance the biker must have had good insurance.
I think the model is set in the UK where there is a National Health Service, no need for insurance, free healthcare for all. Yeah, great modelling!

Brilliantly made
Very informative and great to watch. Nice theme. 👍👍
That is fantastic. I didn't know that you could get cyclists. (Was the Duke Of Edinburgh driving the Range Rover?)
This looks very nice !
That is beyond awesome, I do however have 1 prototypical point to make, the ambulance got there within seconds, can you put a 2-hour delay on it? lol.
Yes, I can certainly put a 2 hour delay on the Arduino computer, no problem. It would certainly make the drama more true-to-life!
Super video. Great ideas. 👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
very nice setup and well presented thank you
Nice and good work wow.
Wonderful!!! Fantastic !!! Congratulations!!!
Seriously RUclips wtf, why am I seeing thi-actually this pretty good.
Well made! Enjoyed watching it.. Only observation I would make is the response time of the ambulance - waaaaaaaaaayyyy too quick to be realistic! :D
Great build.
Incredible! One question: Who called the ambulance?
Mind blowing!! how did you achieve the paddling legs? some insight into it would be interesting..
I loved the animations. Would it be possible to adapt your technology to a 1/35th scale WWII diorama. And, if so would you please let me know where I can get information on the technology. Thanks.
Yes, the Magnorail system is not specific to scale. It can be purchased from Maketis in France.

Did the bike slide through a mudstard hole?
Hi, what do you use for the road? Styrene sheet? , is necessary to add glue under the road, in the plastic chain surface?
Thanks!!!
In the white plastic surface ....
@@ruzsandoval Yes, styrene sheet glued to the baseboard with Copydex latex
I simply loved it.. plus story line😂😂😂
Superb layout and thanks for showing it. Just the one question: Why is the dying cyclist platform painted red? Is it meant to be blood?
Yes. He lost a lot of blood in the accident. But you'll be pleased to know he made a full recovery, and can repeat the performance every 3 minutes.
What size is the baseboard ?
I like it very detailed but looking at the road it looks like a river its shiny. Some road markings would make a difference.
It's shiny because the road is wet and slippery. That's why everyone is skidding off the road!!!! And in rural Cheshire, we don't have road markings on our little lanes.
What kind of churchyard has a tunnel beneath it? (wonderful model btw)
A church with a crypt!
