This is a little trick I made on my 3D printer. The dice is a close fit through the tube and you can see it pass by the windows, but miraculously the spots change whenever you want when they pass by the windows. I'll happily send you the .STL printer files if you want to make one yourself.

This is a 1/48th. scale working model of Pepper Biddall’s travelling ghost train that I help him and his sons Alf and John to build in their yard in Sunbury-on-Thames in 1970. I worked on the ride in my spare time when it travelled with Rose’s Funfair around the Home Counties in subsequent years. Things have gone full circle …. At last I've got round to making a case for the Magic Garage model. It has internal lighting, and all I need now is a piece of perspex to put on the front. This video shows some of the detail in the model better than in the original video (and without the annoying silly music)

A fully automated Magnorail model, involving animated special effects, controlled by Arduino computers
Aah. The mulas. These babies make sure ships going through the panama canal dont strike the sides of the canal. Contrary to popular belief, they do not pull the ships, the ships travel under their own power. The trains are simply there to keep tension on either side ensuring the ship goes straight. Even still, controlling that much weight so precisely is quite impressive and they perform a job of international importance.

John very kindly sent me the STL files for this trick. It's concept is simple, but you must agree, looks amazing. This will keep my grandkids bemused for a while. I did need to expand the overall dimensions, to suit the dice i have. Thank you John, for being a sport and sharing the files.
