I’ve heard that the Eastwood CONTOUR SCT® - Surface Conditioning Tool is good for taking off paint as well. I have never personally used one but I’ve heard people like them.
Is a rusty jones car?? They known for never rust but won’t hold paint my friends parent had a bronco 2 never rust but never held paint

Josh keeping any black vehicle looking it's best will always be more work than most any other color, especially on a rig that big. Black is so reflective and it's a freakin dust magnet. Have you run into any copy right issues using the Indy logo and designs?
For real! I've been holding off on doing a ceramic coating on this one since I knew we were going to repaint. That definitely helps with the cleaning process. I haven't had any copyright issues with the indy logo. I purchased the main kit from Phoenix Graphics with is an authorized dealer.
Paint your own stuff man! I dove in head first and tackled my first paint job on my Sierra. It turned out awesome. You already know how to prep - and that’s the hardest part. Get a good gun (I picked up a DV1) and it does the work for you.
Man I've been thinking about doing a full blown paint job! My neighbor paints damaged UPS trucks and he said I can use his booth over the weekend. Maybe the van?
how’d you get the studs from out the bed side. i took my dually fenders off & same thing happened to me… im about to just cut them from off the truck & poxy new ones onto the fender haha
I used a pair of pliers to hold the stud while i backed the nut off. Mine weren't too bad but if there's a lot corrosion build up you might have to try to use some penetrating lube and vice grips to really clamp down on it. Also, before I put the dually fender back on I chased all the threads to make sure they were nice and clean.
What grit was used on the hood? I have a few layers of rattle can paint to knock off on my 2dr tahoe. 4 different colors on it in the past few years and i think its time to take some layers off before i paint again this year.
I started with 80 on the hood. The rotary took everything off pretty quick. Then finished up with 120 and dropped it off at Mirror Image

Thanks! I need to start sharing more event information. I don't believe there's any sport truck events local to us but there are plenty of cruise ins and car shows we can go to!

Yes sir! That's the plan as of right now. When we get a little closer I'll need to figure out logistics. It would be awesome to take cookie monster there is it's done
