Tip for next time you do single piston “slider” type brakes. Open the top of the master and Use your c-clamp first to push the piston back while the old pads are still in and it is still mounted. Hook it on the back of the caliper and the center of the front/outer pad. Basically you are sliding it back OUT like it was when the pads were thicker, which also compresses the piston Way way easier to manage and do, no risk of damaging a piston by going crooked… then unbolt it and drop your old pads out. Drop in the new ones and bolt it back into place.
The paint on the dually looks great. I look forward to seeing the truck in person this weekend. Regarding the potential garage addition, I'm sure your neighbors would also appreciate it. 🤣
If the driver side was worn a lot more than the passenger side than you probably have a sticking caliper. Thanks for the great content! Love how cookie monster is turning out. You do a lot of work out of your driveway and garage!
I’ve had brake hoses break down on the inside and kept the caliper from releasing fully, too. When I find a sticking caliper, I loosen the bleeder, if there is a slight spurt of fluid and then a released caliper, it’s the hose.
@@PeachCoastLowrider I would check the left caliper to see if it is applying pressure to the pads. I have seen the caliper on one side be stuck and not apply pressure to the pads and the other side get pressure on the pads and the vehicle will pull hard to the side that’s working correctly. Also check the slides or pins to see if the caliper is floating as it should.
I don't own a dually. Never have, can't justify owning one but I am constantly looking at them and yours is by far my favorite one of all I have seen. Congrats on a fine rig.
We love Autozone, our local store hooks us up constantly with parts, tools and special sales to buy fluids and such in bulk… We just put Duralast gold on the K5 and the Duramax! Rock on brother!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Duralast Dually looks awesome. 😂 Hope to catch it in person Saturday, I currently have a load of mulch in my OBS so I’m a little late to start prepping but I’m going to enjoy it anyway.
I just did the headliner in my crew cab a few weeks ago and I think we used the same suede, love the feel and the color! The amount of disassembly required was not fun but worth it!
I had a 30x30 steel building put up on a 31x31 conctete slab, building was purchased from Alans factory outlet direct and a local concrete company did the slab. 15k for the shop that fits 3 cars with plenty of room and around 7k for the slab, electrical is easy to do for what you need it for probably for under 1,000$
Well, you valiantly tried to give props to Autozone... then mentioned 4th alternator. Those in the know don't call it "Returnzone" for nothin'!!!😂 The truck is looking awesome!
@@yeahbuddygarage they used them to take people around the track...not sure how many they had made...mine is the only one I've seen...a guy posted about mine online years ago
Wondering what is you're process of keeping your hardware organized when you disassemble and assemble these projects!? Maybe you can touch on that in a video!? Great content!

First thought that came to mind on caliper!
@@Pooleo55F100my 63 impala pulls hard to the right when braking . Would this possibly be the right caliper sticking or left ?

We have a 93 2500 with a 454. We have had 4 alternators on it from O’Reillys. I am convinced they are just junk. Good luck.

I thought for sure your sad news was gonna be a paint burn through. Paint buffer dieing sucks too but it could be worse…

Hey Brother, how do you like the slim kicker sub set up? Sound good? I have a 65 c10 and have very limited room.. thank you in advance
I like it in my regular cab C10 but it's not enough for my crew cab dually.
