Mach Hommy and Tha God Fahim are a fantastic combination, they make truly elevated material. We were fortunate enough to have Tha God Fahim give us a feature on our debut project and can certainly corroborate that not only is he a great talent in front of the mic and behind the boards, but also that hes a real solid and thoro individual overall. “The ShamWow was on the dresser, the purpose of the nickel handout was to wipe the damn smile off the Cheshire” This gotta be one of the funniest ways to start a verse bro. My God this man is hilarious
How joyfull is for me to hear someone talking this enthusiastically about MAch-Hommy. I really liked this album and the reason why is because I have started to love Tha God Fahim. At first, when I met Mach (that´s how im going to shorten it), I hated when he didn´t rapped, I had troubles at first whit Duck Season for that reason, but then I got into god fahim, started checking him out and BANG, I met with his album "Lost Kingz" and fell in love. Love the beats on that album, the lyrics are as you say, he combines positivity with the arkness in this world, he is a conscious rapper as well as a not quite innocent, he es trapped in tha game, but keeping it out. Then I checked his "Dump Gawd: shot clock king" with Nicholas Craven and shit is really hot. Gotta check those ones, Professor. I think that another reason for me to starting to like TDF, is the reason that MAch Hommy seems to be supporting him as a younger artist. I think i heard hm say something about it in an interview, about helping you fellow artists, and thats what I like about Mach, he is for the art and for the money, he has principles, ideas, visions, he does not rap just for the cash. That is confirmed when you see his beef with Westside Gunn. WSG wanted to charge TGF for some lyrics and MAch Hommy was not cool with that, he sided with TGF. Thankfully, that beef seems to be squasheed, but you can see that MAch Hommy has his feet rooted to the ground. As you said, Mach is releasing a new album this november, very near to my birthday, so im very happy. I will be looking forward to watch your review, and im stocked to see that you are going to review tha gem: HBO. Cheers.
"They understand... they can make a good living by GRRRRRR DUMP DUMP DUMP DUMP" Man I absolutely love your videos and how you cover Mach and Griselda. Never stop
Could you review a Your Old Droog album? He's closely associated with Mach and Fahim and is extremely talented. Some of his best are Jewelry, Transportation, and It Wasn't Even Close. Love your content by the way.
Nah, I want to hear his thoughts on Dump Yod Krutoy Edition, that's Droog's best album and a very unusual soundscape aesthetic in terms of sample, them USSR vibes
I’d say basset hound is either referring to a gun, or a friend (i.e. “my dog”). Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like dumping probably refers to “dumping” bullets out of a gun. See that stove god cooks line from his album “never seen a maybach with young ***** dumping out it” idk could be wrong though. Love your stuff! PS, I know you’ll never review it, but can I get a thumbs up or thumbs down for Billy Woods’s hiding places? I love that album like you love Mach! Haha
I’ve also interpreted it as dumping music. Like their clip is full music and they’re dumping it, because at that time he and god fahim were releasing projects at a high pace, similar to Griselda. Edit: I typed this before he said it in the vid, sorry.
Hi Skye, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate these videos. Being able to watch somebody more articulate than myself clearly present ideas and thoughts I've had but couldnt really process has helped me enjoy my favourite form of art with so much more light.
First time checking out your channel, your perspective is extremely refreshing. You got yourself a new subscriber. There's an extra layer on "the cat of 9 tales" line on Füd. Jesus Christ was whipped 49 times with a cat of 9 tales (the Romans claimed 50 would kill a man). He then references the cock crowing 3 times. Jesus told his disciple Peter, that he would deny Jesus 3 times before the cock (rooster) crowed. Extraordinarily slick reference. Cheers 🙏🏾
Keep flexin' those dialectics, Professor... ✊ Can't wait for _Haitian Body Odor_ review! His two Griselda releases are his best, imo - not surprising: Griselda bats 1.000.
BACH-HOMMY !!!! MAch and perhaps Fahim spittin over Bach instrumentals. I got the idea, becuase the Professor didn't mention the lounge version of Bach's Air sampled for Bag Bag (Bach? Bach?). Mach en Fahim 'll get Bach and flip it and tumble it, where others take Bach and fumble it, Güf!
“We done crossed the rubicon, breaking through the van allen belt in uniforms, the tutankhamen of the yucatan, pharaoh of the closed doors, coke wars” This is dense, Mach references multiple great figures in history, Julius Ceasar and his soldiers crossed the rubicon river which caused the roman civil war and ended with him becoming emperor for life. The van allen belt is a radiation belt of charged particles that surround the earth, it is very difficult to break through this belt, so difficult that some people use it as an argument with how it was not possible that humans went to the moon”. The uniforms part could’ve been like what Eminem does to add to his rhyme to make it like when Saiyans from other planets land on Earth in Dragon Ball Z. Finally, the Yucatan is a state in Mexico within the península and Mach has referenced them before (called himself the ‘Yucatan gook’ on Dollar Menu 2). It is where many ancient mayan tourism spots are. Mach calls himself the equivalent of King Tut within the Yucatan peninsula, calling himself an ancient pharoah who specializes in “closed door” matters involving cocaine (hence coke wars), Mexico being known as a country with high drug trade bc of the cartels. This could also have something to do with the fact that Mach also speaks some spanish too. Overall, the shit is crazy dope.
Not to belabor the point, but H.B.O. was rereleased a few months ago… just saying. And you will love that album. It’s right in your wheelhouse. Edit: I should REALLY listen to the full review before commenting. Ugh.
@@HRDRZ Yeah I think the first time I actually heard the term used was Guru on The Ownerz talking about dumping out the car window---pretty sure he wasn't talking about throwing CDs at people. I remember hearing that term on a few tracks around that 2002-2003 era.

Hey Professor Skye, I just wanted to leave a shoutout for my new favorite album of 2021, "We Had Good Times Together, Don't Forget That" By Sewerslvt (Pronounced Sewer-Slut) I should make it explicitly clear that I don't recommend you review this album, as June (They/Them), the artist behind the Sewerslvt moniker, has requested. The following is an excerpt from their now deleted Patreon posts, " If I have any request it is that people do not "review" this specific album. I'm comfortable with discussion surrounding my other work positive or negative but in the case of this album I'd appreciate if opinion, whether it be of high praise or damning critique, not be encouraged." The reason being that June had made this album for their girlfriend whom killed herself a few months back. You can hear this very pain through the music, and it's instantaneously the most emotional album of 2021 up there with By The Time I Get To Phoenix. June contemplated whether or not to release the album at all, but eventually decided on proceeding because they had the hope of the album still finding her one day. It's incredible. There's no other way I can put it. I can't even hear a single song from this album without breaking down into tears from the pure portrayal of grief being so poignant. The loss of June's gf, Angel, was in actuality so powerful to Sewerslvt that now they are discontinuing the project and moving on to pursue other things. I just thought I might let you know because I've never heard anything this emotionally resonant and palpable in my 17 years on this Earth. And well, I just gotta share such a powerful work to my favorite youtuber of all time. Please, if you feel free, talk about June's other work but just be disrespectful and don't make a video about "We Had Good Times Together, Don't Forget That" unless opinions are out of the matter. The album was made for Angel, and it always shall be. Rest In Peace 1998-2021. I will now link the album on bandcamp, and you should enjoy it however you like. One last thing though, keep up what you're doing Professor Skye! You're truly amazing at what you do and I wish you a great rest of your 2021. Now listen to this devastating work which I consider the best album out this year next to the previously mentioned By The Time I Get To Phoenix by Injury Reserve. sewerslvt.bandcamp.com/ (P.S. June will also not be taking donations from this album and recommends any financial support to go to the Australian suicide prevention network, Beyond Blue www.beyondblue.org.au/get-involved/make-a-donation )
