One of the best songs I think I've ever heard. I love New Order and The Smiths but oh my sometimes I believe this track is better than a lot of their tracks. Just perfect.
Joy Divison/New Order and Electronic honestly make The Smiths sound average at best. Johnny Marr is an amazing guitar player, and by far the most talented member of The Smiths. He really shines in Electronic, whereas The Smiths was all about Morissey.
Kyoko "The Smiths were all about Morrissey" I'm pretty sure all smiths fans love Johnny Marr for his amazing guitar work, and Andy Rourke also gets appreciation on songs like "The Headmasters Ritual" and "Pretty Girls Make Graves"
@@m.s.7756, as a casual fan of The Smiths, and owner of several Morrisey albums to boot... Electronic has some of the best lyrics Sumner has ever sung...and that is from somebody with EVERY New Order Album, EP, and at one time most of the singles on 45, cassingle or 12". This isn't the best example (ironically, perhaps) of the 'best', but 'Get the Message'? Smiths fans have a compulsion to circle the wagons at every turn if they smell Morrissey break wind, and only a non-fanatic can truly appreciate how good he is in other bands, and how good those bands can actually be without the living GOD himself, Morrissey. The hilariously sad part about that all is it pushes AWAY a lot of 'us' that would BE bigger Smiths fans, but not wanting to get involved with such a toxic group, stay away altogether. If The Smiths reformed today, I wouldn't go with a free ticket, just to avoid the obnoxiousness of their fans (many of whom are literally my friends).
There are several components to learning circuits. One place I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Gregs Electro Blog (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most useful info that I've heard of. look at this interesting site.
Wow! What a song...what a fantastic album. Even my folky wife loves this and she usually doesn't like my exuberant pop music. If I were to make my own compilation from this era "For You" will be song #2 or #3 and "Time Will Tell" perhaps at the end. And where can I fit the majestic Getting Away With It from their first? There's no bad song on this record...well maybe Out of My League but I may not bother to skip it!
Ironically, and as much as i love them, Noel and co could never have written a song as good as this. Showing us once again how emotive and subjective music is. Did whats the story have a mixture of dance pop and Britpop on it? At the time it wasnt what we needed (so we thought) but marr and sumner covered all those bases. Amazing stuff
@@Texturas75 isn't it just completely amazing? this album is quite literally the work of legends. I mean, Sumner, Marr and Bartos. how much more legendary can you get?
+Matt Tomlinson Fantastic percussion in this fabulous record (in charge of Ged Lynch)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ged_Lynch also participates Karl Bartos from Kraftwerk, Denise Johnson (Primal Scream) I've got to say electroni is one of my favourite bands all times and all their records are really fantastic. cheers
The perfect combination.. Marr and Sumner...brilliant
Barney's smile is like a sunshine :)
Raise The Pressure One of the most brilliant underrated records.
This will always be one of those songs that gives me a “reminds you of the exact time of your life you were listening to it” feel.

This song is a masterpiece
Perfection
The pure # of hits between Bernard & Johnny over the yrs between Electronic, New Order & The Smiths.. HOLY $HIT! lol...
My CD exploded in my car from playing this song so much. Marr rocks! 😎
Electronic. The only band to START with a Best Of.
Beautiful... It sounds to me like "The Smiths" with a happier touch!
That is like compare god with a grain of sand

honestly all I think about when I hear non-Smiths Johnny is how his guitar parts deserve better lyrics to accompany them :/

Wow. After all these years, I've never seen this video. New Order, Electronic, Depeche Mode were the soundtrack of the best time in my life.
I just got transported back to the summer of 96, memories ✔

We need another album boys! You need to reform and save us from this dark depression.. #respect
🙏🏻 a new album for 2023 would be perfect 🙏🏻
Bernard Sumner is the best singer ever in pronuntiation, he pronunces every word perfectly, he never forces his voice.
if they released a new album I would be the happiest person ever
This is something more than a band, more than just a song. This is part of my life 🖤
This song makes me feel in love
It's just Bernard's smiles & Johnny's riffs🎸
Awwww, tiny baby Jimi on bass.

Underrated song
Great summer tune!!
I've never seen Sumner any happier than this ...
Jhonny fucking Marr is a legend. One of the most of the world
BERNARDS SMILEEEE

Johnny Marr just after the Smiths, great guitar!
Still a great tune!
I wish Karl Bartos was in the video. I mean, he did help write and produce half the songs on the album (including this one)
REALLY?!
@@Texturas75 yes he did.
@@Texturas75 isn't it just completely amazing? this album is quite literally the work of legends. I mean, Sumner, Marr and Bartos. how much more legendary can you get?
Ironically Bartos was the one pushing for more guitars, real instruments in general and less electronics on the album.
Manchester needs it no one is cooler than marr and Sumner
I fucking love Manchester🌹
Jimi Goodwin from Doves on bass.
He looks so young here
How have I only heard this masterpiece for the first time in 2022?!
This song is sunshine
Love it ❤
Great project!
Loved it
timelessly wonderfull
jonny fucking marr l00king cool as fuck as usual
The Smiths on dopamine. 😀
It's me or Johnny looks like Noel Gallagher in this video?
The shades add to it
So much energy..
Was that one of Stephen Morris's tanks at the end?
definitely atimeless song!
Pop genius!
Increible cancion. !!!!!!!
Lovely song
Ascoltando ora il loro minidisc 😎❤️
Hello Electronic I like your song collection full support from here
Luv
Just get back together already.
Marr 💙💙💙
Worthy heirs of the Beatles' "Revolver" tracks. I love them.
Lindoooooo.........
I wonder if that was one of Steve's tanks?
❤🎶
with jimmi from doves and ged from black grape epic manc band
la la la singin' in the sun
I wonder whether the tank is one of Steven Morris'?

+Matt Tomlinson Go for New Order Music Complete, absolutely brilliant, the New order record we've been waiting for the last 22 years(Republic)
Probably
Happy pill
they don't make songs like this anymore!
~eu# musicaLLLLLL ~~~~~~~~~~ y ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I owned every pair of sunglasses in this video...they were probably the knock off ones from Kavos though....
Fan'fucking'tastic, pure pop
The guy on this one is the same from Spooky New Order vídeo.
i'm fairly sure the bloke in the yellow glasses and the woman is from the New Order Spooky video
Where can I find that vid? It's nowhere on RUclips, and it doesn't even appear on their Wikipedia page
disregard that, I just watched it on Vimeo. they do look very similar, but I don't think they're the same
is Marr actually tuned one step down or up because its in the key of D sharp or E flat?
call me to cure you!
Spud in the video, lol.
Which is better: this song, or Prince's "For You," the a cappella title cut from his debut album? They sound nothing alike.
Spotify shows incorrect lyrics for the song. Anyone has the right lyrics for this song? Please Post it here.
Where's Neil???
Neil was never a full-time member and only worked as a guest on 3 songs (Getting Away with It, Patience of a Saint and Disappointed).
Sorry but this is poo compared to the stuff off the first album.
