Immediately ordered. All of my skincare needs are met with the entire Prequel line (with the exception of my Joseon sunscreen, medik8 retinal, and Vanicream body wash). I have supremely sensitive dry rosacea and eczema prone skin and Prequel products, especially the barrier solutions, have made a huge improvement in my overall skin health. Patiently waiting for a lip treatment and a body sunscreen from the brand and even a retinaldehyde product would be amazing.
Hi…. I love the Prequel products too. Going to order the MultiQuench when I get off here. However, I noticed you have the same skin type as myself… very sensitive, very dry, rosacea prone. I saw you use medik8 retinaldehyde…. I’ve been tempted many times to try the lowest percentage of retinaldehyde from them but have been scared. I haven’t had a lot of luck with Vitamin A derivatives. Could you possibly suggest the product you’re using and tell me your experience if you have any extra time. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.🙌🙌🙌

I avoid using it on spots I know my skin is more likely to be reactive (near my mouth and my undereye). It has honestly helped so much with my rosacea and overall texture. My skin is visibly smoother and glowy. Just a fair warning my skin did take a couple weeks to adjust and was very dry but that was remedied with a good moisturizer and the cereve ointment (before prequel released their comparable product). I didn’t use any other actives for about a month as my skin adjusted but definitely be extra vigilant with the sunscreen. Also the first week I did the sandwich method where I put down moisturizer then the medik8 then more moisturizer so it doesn’t absorb into your skin nearly as fast. I have been using it for about a year and a half now so currently I use the prequel vitamin C in the mornings and I usually avoid getting it on my known sensitive areas too. The combination has made a world of a difference. I love the prequel redness cream for after vitamin C as it helps calm my skin before moisturizer sunscreen and makeup. I just recommend patience as you integrate the retinal because it’s so much harder to get your barrier back than to protect it. Trust me I wasn’t the first time I tried and it took a lot of effort to get my skin back to a neutral place. I use all three of the Prequel ointments and recommend them all too for when your skin is struggling. I love the gel for when I get a blemish spot or the dimethicone one for eczema/dry patches and the petrolatum for under my eyes before bed. And their spray… I love the brand lol and I love medik8 and it’s at least worth a try. I am glad I didn’t give up and was patient.

I do highly recommend doing the sandwich method (moisturizer first then retinal then more moisturizer) the first week or so. I definitely recommend starting at level one and be patient as your skin adjusts. Took mine about a month. I have worked up to level 3 and 6 and I do use Prequel Vitamin c and redness serum with the Barrier therapy moisturizer and my Joseon sunscreen. At night I do the retinal and my barrier therapy with the petrolatum prequel ointment under my eyes, the utility gel on any blemishes, and the dimethicone ointment on any budding eczema spots but those have become rare with my current routine and my rosacea is definitely toned down. Not gone by any means but my skin feels and looks so much better. Also the urea spray I use that all day long and I am convinced it has played a large role in my skins improvement overall. I hope this helps!

Two things : BEFORE I clicked I was like "here we go another HA serum on the market" which started to annoy me but then I clicked and became SOOO excited to try it someday. I say someday because I am from Canada and your brand is not available here yet. Secondly, I love hydrating serums as the cocokind ceramides serum because in summertime it can be very hot and freakin' humid so just the serum and an spf is lovely and enough to me. It is a good moisturizer replacement when your environment make you oily seasonally 😉😊 however, I don't give up hoping to try your products someday doctor.
