I have fond memories of the Wii, although i did not have mine for terribly long. I remember getting down to Metroid Prime Trilogy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Donkey Kong Country Returns is particularly special to me, it came out the same month I returned home from my full time 2 year Church Mission, so I picked up a Wii as a homecoming treat and got DKC Returns immediately. It was pure magic to get such a big bold revival of a franchise that practically dead. This game really resuscitated Donkey Kong.
I had a couple of Nintendo handhelds, but the Wii was my 1st Nintendo home console, so it holds a special place in my memories. My favorite games were probably both Mario Galaxys and Mario Kart.
One of my fav Wii games of all time and one of the most underappreciated has to be Super Paper Mario. An overall fantastic platformer with a great story and underrated OST. Really hope it gets ported over to the Switch or next gen one day.
That's so cool that you still have all of these. I'd never even heard of Pokepark but it looks cute. We all games we know aren't great today but still hold that special place in our hearts.
Wii is such a classic I genuinely miss playing on the Wii so much it brings me so many memories of when I was a kid same for DS. PS2 also introduced me into gaming as well.
@@Josie_Woah I got the DS on my 8th birthday back in December 2007 I used to play Dr Kawashima How Old is Brain Age, Professor Layton, Mario Kart DS, NSMB & more. I got rid of my DS because it’s too small for my hands I even got 3DS XL. I wanted to play more 3DS games because the eshop was going to shut down soon.
You have so many Wii games! Im kinda jealous. i wish i had some of those when i was a kid. My collection was still pretty decent. The one's we share are the Nerf game, Playground, Brawl, Galaxy, wii Sports, Mariokart, and Outdoor Challenge. Playground is definitely a weird game, but i love the minigames in it. Dodgeball and the paper air plane were a favorite game to play. Outdoor Challenge was weird. I remember the mat thing, and it was like DDR controls or something to move your raft. But i haven't played it in years. A couple that I had that you didn't mention were Mario Super Slugers, Wii Party, Order Up, We Ski, Wii fit, force unleashed, i had a Go Diego go game that was kinda fun, Cabelos Dangerous Hunt 2011, Transformer: The Game, lego rock band(surprisingly the only lego game i had on wii), and beetles rock band. Beetles rockband was my music game of choice because i already knew a majority of the songs. Mario Slugers is a pretty fun baseball game with some great looking cutscenes. Force Unleashed is such a good time on wii, especially because it has duel mode in it. Wii Party is a really fun party game. It has a lot of wii jank to it, but it can definitely entertain a group of people for a night. Order up is a fun little cooking sim game. We ski is a fun skiing game, i remember you can find a yeti in the game and that was cool when my brother found it while i was watching. Cabelos game was memorable. Mainly because it came with a gun peripheral, a few years later i used said plastic gun to hit my older brother because he was being annoying and broke the stock on it Overall the Wii had a massive library, some good some absolute peices of dog shit. But it was definitely a fun console to grow up on. Now whenever i listen to music from any wii games, it always sounds so cheerful and fun to me. Great video josie, would love to see more of your collection
Looking back, a Wii version of some multiplatform games were unique experiences tailored specifically. Call of Duty, EA sports, Need for Speed. Heck I'll take that than some shoddy ports on the Switch.
Man! So much good nostalgia with the Wii! Especially Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii. But, I have to mention the honorable mentions: Punch Out Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. ALL great!
I have to admit DKC Returns is still sitting on my shelf patiently waiting to be played, as is Super Mario Galaxy 2! There's so much good stuff on Wii though. Going through Super Paper Mario now and there's also Skyward Sword and the full Metroid Prime trilogy. The Wii U also has some stellar games.
1. Both Mario Galaxies 2. Zelda Twilight Princess 3. Metroid Prime 3 4. Donkey Kong Country Returns 5. Mario Party 8 6. Mario Super Sluggers 7. Smash Brawl 8. Mario Strikers Charged 9. Wii Sports 10. Wii Play
Ok, I had that Nerf game. There were two versions of it. The first one(N-stike) was just like mingames where you shoot targets in a closed area. Then there was the Eliete N-strike, where it had the story missions and the little red color puzzle. I thought it was so cool to use Nerf guns that I owned in a video game. Also, the Nerf gun for the wii mote works super well with Wii Play shooting gallery mini game
My most favorite Wii games I played were: 1. Pokemon Battle Revolution 2. Super Smash Bros Brawl 3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii 4. Bleach: Shattered Blade 5. Mario Kart Wii 6. Super Mario Galaxy 7. Just Dance 2 8. Wii Sports+ Wii Sports Resort 9. Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 10. PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond 11. Sonic Colors 12. Sonic and the Black Knight Yeah, I have a huge fond of the Nintendo Wii. I've owned and bought my Wii last year in August 2023 and always still playing it then and still now in 2024. I also played my most of my friends' Wii when I'm at their houses, at the Anime Club after school(extracurricular activities in high school), and mostly my relatives also have a Wii. I love the nostalgia when I'm playing Pokemon Battle Revolution when I'm using my Nintendo 2DS to transfer my SoulSilver Pokemon team to there to battle random trainers online via WFC. It was awesome 👍🏽🔥🔥 So yeah, very interesting and cool content 😊👍🏽💕🔥
I'm probably about six or seven years older than you but we had a lot of similar interest in the same games, I really loved the No More Heroes series on the Wii they were really ultra-violent and stupid guy type of games but fun and funny.
Got a Wii recently enjoying some on-rail shooters best is RE Umbrella Chronicles Deadspace Extraction Redsteel 2 and more 👍 Great Vid by the way and happy New Year also.
I still have my Wii collection within reach as I haven't moved in a long ass time. The Wii itself is somewhere around here but no interest to hook it up again. Nice trip down memory lane for ya though
I had one of those Nerf Wii Games too!! Not sure if they made more then 1 cuz that one looked kinda different but I still think I have the gun just not the game! Was wild 😂 Wii Sports, Smash Brawl and some of the old wwe games were the things I can remember the most on my Wii as a kid. My mom also said she waited in line for a long time to get the Wii cuz I wanted one so bad at the time. Surprised she did that, she said it was crazy cuz everyone wanted one at the time especially with it being around Christmas because it was something new and different. Gotta love all the weird 3rd party experiment games though we all tried out. Also not Wii but related to the video I played the first Cars game as a kid and absolutely LOVED IT! I gotta replay that one of these days not gonna lie... it was good. And yeah lego games never went wrong too. 👍
Zelda 2 was my favorite in the series because it was the first I played. It was funny because later I found everyone hated that game. Lol, the creators of the game did not like it from what I understand.
What was the most awesomest awesomest will Games talk to him that you've ever wanted to play over and over and over and over and over just curious thanks
3:20: You are confusing the far superior Rock Band 3 with Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero never, ever tried to teach you how to play a real guitar. Rock Band 3 had a pro mode which allowed you to use a real Squier Stratocaster to play the small minority of songs that supported it. And yes, of course we wanted to learn how to play guitar. Who wouldn't? It seems such a waste that so many of you mastered the five button plastic guitar and made no effort to learn the real thing since you obviously had the hand coordination to do so. But then I guess gamers tend to be really low-achievers.
Someone once told me to not let nostalgia fog up your judgement on something. The Wii was flawed, I get it, but come on. Some of these games, really are some of the greatest pieces of art I’ve played ever. After all, it was because of Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones on the Wii, that I know so much about those beloved franchises. If I had to pick my favorite one though, uhhhhh, Super Mario Galaxy 2! It’s decided. I’m giving that one the slight edge while the runner-up spot goes too DKC Returns. Both are perfect games though. Also PAC-MAN PARTY, AAHH! My baby! 😆😄😁 Happy New Year Miss Josie 🥳🎊
Sonic and the Black Knight was shit. Sonic and the Secret Rings was better and the Party mode makes it a bit more replayable. Secret Rings only exists because 06 couldn’t be on the Wii and funnily enough it’s a better and more functioning game!
"Couldn't find wii sports"
It was one of the best games on the wii.
Loved it.
I love how some of these games are just “so here’s this game…don’t remember anything about it, ok now here’s a banger” 😂😂😂
I have fond memories of the Wii, although i did not have mine for terribly long. I remember getting down to Metroid Prime Trilogy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Good memories I was 15 when the Wii came out.
The hype was real
I just went through my totes of wii stuff and there are so many games I forgot I had. Alot of good times on the wii forsure

Call of Duty 3 is my favorite Call of Duty game, and I played a crap ton of it on the Xbox 360 online
I was too broke for a Xbox360 or PS3 so I played all the COD multiplayers on the Wii, good times...
you have so many cool games in your collection! still play my Wii all the time to this day. same wiimotes, same sony trinitron 🤙🏾
If Kit Ellis can overcome his distaste for Sonic, you can too... we need a Sonic Week for you
Yessssss
If you have a chance, tru Castlevania Judgement, and Madworld. They are both amazing games on the Wii.
Battalion Wars was a banger.
Got a Wii recently enjoying some on-rail shooters best is RE Umbrella Chronicles Deadspace Extraction Redsteel 2 and more 👍 Great Vid by the way and happy New Year also.

Great Collection. I Only had 2 games for the wii lol (I didn't like the Wii). It was a madden game and Mario Kart. You're super cute btw!
Given your age, I am surprised you apparently never had any of the Harry Potter games for Wii.
how old is she ?
MLB Power Pro's rocked!
My favourite Wii game is Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games
Yes! Josie together with Wii. What a way to start the year 🎉
The Wii will always be the best console

Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii if not made me into the RPG fan I am today 🫡

Galaxy is the GOAT!!
Great selection of games, for a young person.
Tatsunko vs capcom, muramasa the demon blade and Smash bros

Did you say Tony hawk ride was good? May be the first time I've ever heard that said by anyone lmao that game was horrid
Punch-Out Wii
That round of boxing was bullshit. I’ll take you down in the summer
Sonic and the Black Knight was shit. Sonic and the Secret Rings was better and the Party mode makes it a bit more replayable.

I was already almost out of high school when the wii released, not really a nostalgic system for me
