I bought 2 books. 1 for me and an extra for someone who may need it. We all have to go thru grief but each of us goes thru it so differently. From a young age we are told "get over it". We are only allowed a few days off work when someone dies and that is horrible! So we have been groomed to grieve quietly, grieve within yourself or not to grieve around others. So I think we have been taught how not to grieve. And I think we are scared to grieve, too. So, it's not you, Brooke. It's how we have been taught. I think your BOOK is fantastic. I will write a great review and hopefully more people will learn that it's ok to openly grieve. Thank you. I think you are awesome! And so brave and so strong! I have lesrned a lot from you. Thank You.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for ordering the book. You are so right about what we are taught about grief. I hope I can help a little. :)

Don't be so hard on yourself, these things take time to build. You planted a seed now you just water and watch it grow.
I'm grieving for the lost of my 10 year old. I know what you mean when you walk down the aisle of the classrooms and remember your daughter it's very hard.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. Libby was 10 too. 💔

My heart goes out to both of you! Libby is so loved and celebrated every single day. Her hoodie came for me on her Angelversary. She's very much alive and well and impacting people. I bought your Audiobook and you're amazing. If you impact ONE life to know they're not alone, you succeeded.

Aww, thank you so much for getting a hoodie. I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't even listened to the audiobook. It's so weird hearing my own voice, haha. I hope it turned out ok.

Here in Ontario Canada on Amazon your book is still a pre order. I think I’ll get it by the end of the week. I can’t wait. When I’m done reading it I will definitely go on and give it a review. Hang in there I’m sure your hard work will pay off!

I just wanted to say as one of your advanced readers...
I'm sorry so many didn't follow through. I applied to be a part of your book venture bc your channel has helped me so much despite not specifically experiencing the loss of a person. I have had a lot of heavy losses in recent years that have put me in the depths of depression....and you understood that pain even though it had a different source. I left a review on Amazon and goodreads....and I recommend your channel and book anytime I can. Also...your book is going to be amazing for so many people...grief unfortunately starts fresh for people everyday...so what you put out there in the world is timeless. I appreciate you and admire you so much....a selfless and beautiful soul sharing your deepest pains to help others persevere and live a life of purpose....that absolutely gives people hope...you did that. ❤🙏

I was really sad and in a funk a couple weeks ago and part of last week. Missing my son so much and feeling insecure and upset! I’m sorry you’re going through this right now and grateful that you share your thoughts and feelings. It allows all of us to as well! Much love, I’m ordering the book right now and I will leave a review. I know from how you share that it’s wonderful and helpful.❤️

I feel like it's so important to just be transparent about how difficult it is even when it seems like we have our stuff together! Thank you for offering to purchase the book and writer review. It's such a big help. ❤️❤️❤️

Your book should be in every library in the U.S. in the grief-child loss section. Dewey decimal no. 155.

That would be cool, but apparently it's pretty difficult to get into libraries. 🤷‍♀️

Here is something you may find interesting. (In the griefy way.) When my daughter’s baby, my beautiful Violet, died, I spent so much time at her house, cooking cleaning, buying her things, making arrangements. I literally thought up things I could do that might make their life a little bit easier. It was the only thing I could do. Once I would get back home, I would cry and scream, not get dressed, and certainly not clean anything. My husband had to do it all. It’s a little better now, three months later, but I still struggle with anything related to my house. So my house is upside down but I will drive three hours to go clean her house. I think my house reminds me of my old life and I can’t relate to it anymore.

That is VERY interesting. It's a testament to your care for your daughter that you are so willing to help her -- and honestly, she probably appreciates it more than she will ever be able to tell you. Sending you so much love. ❤️

@@brookecarlock I always get them at Dunkin Donuts or our local coffee shop. If you ever travel to Long Island NY, 1, I would LOVE to meet you and 2, Sweetwater's and Coffee is an amazing place in Smithtown.

I've seen people in family photos as they were and not aged but videos would be strange to me. I know it helps some to rewatch memories and photos but I personally don't understand AI.

The AI thing I’ve never heard of but I must honestly say that would be creepy and prolong the grief.
