    Interesting topic, Mimi. I have to constantly guard against the lip plate impinging upon my lower lip. When I'm careful with the placement, holding angle, and pressure, good tone production is much easier. Thanks.

    Hello Mimi, I'm approaching 70 and I used to use a lot of pressure on the chin (bottom teeth). I have since reformed some of the excess because of a few reasons. I find that I can not use any flexibility of my bottom lip part of the embouchure with great pressure and it will occasionally cause my uneven bottom teeth to abrade sores inside of my lip. By releasing that pressure, it release some tension in the finger technique.
