Check out Robert Dick and Melissa Keeling….they’re outstanding. Robert created some this back in the 60’s and 70’s and invented the “Glissando Headjoint” more recently. ❤ Melissa adds an electric twist. I’ve been following Mimi since 2004 ish.❤
Surely one of the most immersive interpretations of Piazzolla's "Libertango" I've ever heard. Moreover, I really loved the idea of “Syrinx Journey” project. It would be nice if you did something like this again! Thanks and greetings from Genoa, Italy.
Ciao e mille grazie! I appreciate your listening and am glad you enjoyed my "Syrinx Journey" project. I have some series on my channel you might find interesting: Altès etudes and flute tips. I hope you're well in Genoa. My heart breaks for what Italy is going through right now.
This was so great!! I loved the constant energy and emotion and it’s the first time I think I’ve heard you play on the alto flute. I love your vibrato intensity and it lends sooo much to this music! And of course there’s also your lovely concert attire. In addition, as I’ve expected from all of your performances, you give that audience engagement which truly shows that not only do you know your craft but that you always want to share it with others.
Using Techniques with your wind that are impossible for any other flutist and you make them look easy. You are remarkable Mimi! Beyond belief!

The most lively version of Libertango for flute I've ever heard, so much joie de vivre. Kudos and I follow your channel now.
This wanna make me dance😂j
Bravo et merci
I love the “contemporary” flute techniques used in the opening, Mimi. Does Piazzola specify them? Very nice! Fabulous performance as always. ❤
