#Ichika #Guitar #NikNocturnal - Видеоклипы
Ichika is simply built different, the dude makes sounds with the guitar that I’ve never heard before
Heyyyyy "no mustache" is a metal head!!!
omg this the first time I'm early to one of your comments!
He plays like every instrument, it‘s crazy
Wait.... You .... Here.......
I agree he is extremely good, buuuut he only plays one minute or less clips most of the time, very similar sound/feel/style for 90% of his content. I just feel as an artist he needs to put out an EP or album or something a little more substantial because ALL of his content is just short clips. To me he is similar to Charles Berthoud except Charles regularly composes full songs and much more substantial content, and while he is also very successful, I just don't get why people are so in awe of ichika in comparison to many other skilled musicians who are content creators. I'm sure Nik is plenty capable or writing 20 seconds of a solo and playing it too, but to me Ichika is basically a tiktok channel but on RUclips
This is not math metal anymore this is some freaking algebra rock
You mean Algebrock
Dude this is calculus level stuff.
More like quantum physics rock
Calculuscore.
e=mc2core
Its ok nik. You'll always have breakdowns, zeros and ones
Never heard no heavy ass riffs from Ichika
@@billytyler224 you should listen to sweet then by ichika
Binary metal
@@billytyler224 it doesn't always have to be heavy. He makes some tastey shit dog
@@billytyler224 he has a prog metal ep
Ichika doesn’t make sounds, he makes feelings
Perfect.
No mistakes either, just happy little feelings.
Feelings and emotions
He bridges the gap
He himself describes his style as "Music that touches the soul"
Ichika and tim Henson are the two guitarists that for me, completely stepped out of the box that guitar playing has been in for a very long time. There has always been a very rigid set way of how to play, but those guys broke all the rules and started making sounds and sequences no one knew you could even make on a guitar. The other thing that amazes me is how they capture a specific vibe. Like you aren't listening to music you are experiencing a musically induced emotion when you hear them. My favorite by ichika is isolation. My favorite from Tim is blood moon.
There’s also that guy from Unprocessed.
Tosin Abasi started this.
Don't forget the Doo
jakub zytecki is another one to check out
Manuel Gardner(Unprocessed) , Tosin, Jakub Zytecki, ❤️
You can either take inspiration and believe that since he can do these things, anything is possible.
Oooorrr, you do the proper thing and make a Craigslist post for every guitar-related thing you own.
I am certainly the former and not the latter.
Anybody wanna buy an ibanez?
Honestly though, he's got those tiny little fingers, and I'm poking around up on fret 24 with these extra large sausage fingers that can't even fit into a large pair of gloves 🤣 Granted, I can do some string skipping riffs that he has to finger tap, but ok
@@ryanmitchell6721 lez go for the jumbo frets then, thats what tim henson does haha
Craigslist it is
“Guitarists are too good nowadays…”
Nah man, I used to play songs on my tv remote back in the day too
It's REALLY hard to have an immediately identifiable style on guitar in 2022. Ichika is one of the very few.
And tim henson
Manuel Gardner Fernandes
The part i love most about ichika, is that everything is melodic, and seems to have a purpose. I typically am not a fan of shreddy/overly technical playing, but ichika manages in a way that sounds so beautiful
Listen to david maxim micic's "who bit the moon"
He actually uses harmonics to add melody and doesn't spam them for the sake of difficulty like Tim Henson lol. Both are great guitarists, but the harmonic spam in Polyphia is getting so tiresome.
You should check out the "superband" Ichikoro that Ichika is in. It's pretty much filled with other musicians just as skilled as him. There isn't a lot of music from this project so far, but Enemy is my personal favourite.
Love me some ichikoro
You are a legend my friend, now I have Ichikoro and Gesu No Kiwami Otome on my playlist.
Enemy kicks ass and the jazziness in Ally is a total treat
Thanks for the recommendation! 🤘
Aren't they already disbanded?
I'm fighting for my life on the toilet right now and this video is the only thing getting me through it.
I need more fiber in my diet.
Why is it happening to me too
Im crying
IBS Gang
This is a club? Coz Im in!
Frosted Mini Wheats work wonders for the problem you're having. Drink more water too
ichika is a wizard , he doesn't play guitar he sorta touches the strings with his magic fingers and they sing for him lmao
man aint playing math rock, he playing trigonometry by this point
I feel that way when I watch you, Nik 😅 Never forget that you’re someone else’s Ichika 😉
well said:)
Right , took the words right out of my mouth
Japanese musicians are built different, all of them are amazing
Just imagine you are a boomer like me, learned some guitar in the 80's where it was more about pentatonics and getting chicks. Now i'm just wondering how you could get that good, and i was practicing hours every day back in the days....
Ichika, Tim Henson, Manuel Gardner-Fernandez and Macin are just on the next Level. Tosin as well and and and *burns guitars in the backyard*
2:51 I want this lil tappy thing in every metal core song I hear for the rest of my life
Literally me 10 minutes before watching this video:
Me: For the first time ever, I successfully changed the strings on my floating trem guitar. No issues. *Feeling Accomplished*
*Watches this video*
Me: Yeah... I think I will play video games.
This is still easier than trying to master Rocket League
I'd love to see you collaborate with Ichika. I can see some interesting things coming out of this.
The way this man uses harmonics is just ridiculous in the best way. I always love hearing what he comes up with.
NIK the fact you have shown so much respect to other musicians is a testimony that you are always developing con/unconsciously,it shows you are intouch with your sanity, you are humble and hilarious so you still are better than most with these qualities...if its about skills then there's always a better guitarist than the best ( most egoistic musicians dont admit or like that) the way i see it nobody is the best nor the worst...you are the best to anyone who can relate to your piece..all these complex shit are nothing to a minimalist lol....
Dude, your reactions to his vids are absolutely hilarious.
Nik you're right about the piano part. Ichika just released a video where he played his guitar through a midi piano patch. Beautiful sounding!
Would lowkey like to see a Death Metal song or album recorded on a 14 string
Theres a video of a bassist for death metal with an 11 string bass...
@@The_KlaVra where
Viraemia did 10 string but I’ve yet to see a 14 from anyone in DM
Love how Jordan Rudess collabs with all of these freak musicians for giggles.
like he's not a freak musician himself, haha
When I first saw ichika I had a guitar depression, I stopped playing guitar for like 2 months or so. Then I found out about Tim Henson and Polyphia... had another guitar depression, didn't play for like 2 or 3 weeks. Then I found Manual Gardener Fernandez... no guitar depression, I think I might be conditioned at this point.
I first saw Charles Berthoud with his inhumane Bass playing, then Ichika with his monstrous Guitar playing. They're both very similar in their styles, and both similarly inspired me to get a guitar. Now I'm a mix between them and practice slapping, fingerstyle and tapping everyday, even if it's not even a bass😂
Look at it that way:
There's no way Ichika doesn't spend a considerable amount of his day on playing guitar, sacrificing other aspects of his life.
I'm more impressed that Ichika never has to roll up his sleeves!
To everyone :
Thise guys ( even like tim henson)
practiced like you dont even imagine
it s about near to 8 hours a day
and this since more than 7 years at least
also, maybe they had a great teacher
and their gear too
like those guys all have amazing guitars and amps
first, they play this slow and then they practice like crazy at high speed
dont forget they record a lot of takes before
Practice, practice, practice, nothing more. Gear is just an extra.
@@soulreaver017 no
A great amp
A great guitar
Nice sound with pedals is always useful
You can hear more what you do
But yeah it s practice First
But to be like them it s just 8h a day
So I remember watching an interview from ichika, but he's self taught, and has been playing for more that 10 years if im not crazy. Tim im not so sure but I'd say its probably similar. Most insane musicians are like that or have had some insane teachers to boost their learning. But yeah the 8 hours of practice a day are definitely the biggest contributor
This is simply ichika his track is all short but enough to make you repeat them track all over& over & over over again 🎸🎸
0:00 One of the reasons why I bought a bass instead.
Watch Charles Berthoud
He's probably the Ichika Nito of the bass world
@@gervasiocampana6217 He instead inspired me to start bass :')
3:25 -> "weed in the ocean"
Never quit bro, you are amazing. I would be in the dark about SO MUCH GREAT MUSIC if it weren't for your riffs in specific tunings series! You have surpassed many guitar players that you grew up with. It's about enjoyment, not being the best. Thanks bro for the 😂😂😂
First time ever listening to Ichika and this is just beautiful.
That's a lot of practise Nik. (You obviously know this, you're a damn fine player) We only ever see the finished article, rarely, in this age of online guitar shenanigans do we see the hundreds if not thousands of times they've played it over and over to get it that clean. Impressive as hell when the technique is that smooth. Eiro Nareth is another good one (mostly acoustic stuff) that doesn't get much attention from the modern compression crew.
I watch lots of videos of people talking, so my multiple YT tabs are usually on 1.5x or at least 1.25x so I had to keep checking that it was properly on 1x for this video of this kid. DAMN! This bro is amazing.
I love the contact you create and I have no idea how you come up with your ideas but you never make boring videos.
Glad you're experiencing the ethereal pure joy of Ichika. I love him so much! Best guitarist of the upcoming generation.
In terms of g-string, ichika knows all languages. Its scarier than someone that actually knows every language.
Nik is a beast in his own style..but man so humble. Keep up d great work.
dude you gotta do this with " Marcin VS Ichika Nito " that video is a gem.
For real for real Then their collab the roof top video man that shit was effing amazing
He uses his guitar like a piano is the best way to describe his playing. Totally agree
Finally someone who can make proper use of those weird huge guitars.
Nik I love you. Your videos make me happy!
Entire Water of Ocean is a sick album title. Grab it while you can!
Ichika makes my head hurt. I'm a clarinetist and we're stuck playing one note at a time, so seeing Ichika play as many notes as a pianist is so wild. He's got some weird genie guitar magic. I don't get it.
He learnt piano from his grandma when he was 3, so his playing/composing is really inspired by that
Nik: "Y'all are too good now"
Me: *watches Nik's covers in awe* ;~;
Wow that was the most beautiful guitar playing ive ever heard!! incredible talented!!
Hees really good been following for a long time now
*"Guitarist Are Too Good Nowadays. Umm, You Know, Watching Some Of Them Kind Of Make Me Question Why I Exist."*
You have nothing to worry about, Nik!! You're fricking amazing on the guitar!! 🤘😆
I’d love to see Ichika write black metal or grindcore it would be insane
Nik don't feel down. Your Mirage song is still one of the best songs I've ever heard and gives me goose bumps!
Thanks for a video man
I'm not that technically aligned with instruments. Most of the time I hear "oh that's pretty!", but never realize HOW difficult something is. It's great to watch these kind of videos from other guitarists (and the same goes for other instrument players) to get an inkling of how technically skilled some people are
It's like human evolution... the evolution of the technical, far exceeding where the earliest musicians were but, humans are still humans and basically haven't changed in the deepest sense. A single note played with the whole heart and mind trump a million notes from the surface. Holdsworth was a real combination, IMO.
YO! First time seeing this guy, he’s amazing!
i needed a cigarette after the fuzzy sweater riff, jesuz
Git Gud
i think i just quit as well
i felt the same way when i first saw your videos. you'll accept it bro, just feel the vibes KEKW
Perfect fit for a Dance Gavin Dance collab
He doesn’t make me quit, he inspires me.
He’s so good.
Dude practices like it’s no tomorrow.
He’s like a pianist.
Also, that laugh response thing is so true, shit like that makes me so happy.
Ps, last hour of life is probably my favorite composition, next to I miss you.
Definitely resonates with me like those sweet harmonics Nito does on command
@@AiphTheDJ hehe
He's not just like a pianist, he IS a pianist. He started his music life at age 3 by playing piano with his grandma
Sometimes Nik... You just have to accept that there are always gonna be inhuman guitarists. Edit: Oh my God! Thank you guys so much for the likes! I have never hit 100 likes before! You guys are awesome!
cringe
@@psychotropictraveler514 Appreciate it!
The last one had such a nice Final Fantasy vibe
Skills for days! Great player!
Yeah, Ichika is talented, but his music is shit. I don't see why it makes you wanna quit guitar.
0 distorsion. 0 wow.
Same feeling
Its not even music for me, error 404 : djent not found
When one of your guitar icons looks at another one of your icons with the same look you have when looking at them play...you realise how deep this rabbit hole truly goes
Idk how ur brain even processes all those strings. When I go from my 6 string to a 7 string I feel like I'm looking down the summit of Mt. Everest
You have no idea how happy that reference at 3:29 makes me
It's ok Nik ichika made me quit too then jon dretto on shred collab IV did that multi harmonic on one string and I instantly picked it back up. Your shred was pretty awesome too on that video I loved your transitions
I sure do love "A - Chicka"
I think what makes him so good is his creativity and the fact he can think of things nobody would put together normally
The funniest video I’ve seen in a while idek why
Nik's face just says it all. I respect the hell out of the fact, he's giving credit to Ichika. Cheers and much love to all, from NC. 🤘🇺🇸🤘
Wow...now I must hear more...thanks for sharing this wow!
On the last vid , those basses IMPALE ME
I’m just relieved that I’m not the only one who constantly gets fed the JRE recommendations.
Ichika, Tim Henson and Marcin are my favourite guitarists they all have Ibanez own signature guitars models
I feel your pain, Nik!
The one video is absolutely sped up and has another one sped up but still can’t take away how good he is
A lot of Ichikas right hand movement reminds me of some of Chris brodericks technique (see his cover of Rondo Alla Turca , he does full 8 finger tap like his playing a piano all the way through )
i cant with this video man!
"it's like his hand is a bionicle" most accurate analogy ever
This video made love guitars
You'll overcome this, listen to all stuff you can and keep playing
Who knows you'll collab together one day
You should watch "When you need to do an audition, but have only 1 finger" , you will enjoy!
ICHIKA is good in his style of playing, and NIK NOCTURNAL you are good in your style of playing. Everyone is unique !!!!!!!. Great content, love it.
hands down bruv!
This reminds me of a poem my Chinese friend once told me
"Roses are red, violet's are blue there's always an Asian that's better than you"
The slap technique reminds me of old Miyavi but then leveled up 😅
Check out Marcine, lotz of arm, elbow, finger, hand head percussion mixed with strings
This is how I feel when I watch Nik Nocturnal post guitar vids
Ichika Nito like those gamers with stupid preview on they videos that just dont give their enemies even breath
Ichika has a video on instagram where he plays guitar with ONE FINGER. I have watched it about a thousand times. INSANE SKILLS. love this guy.
Give ichika anything with strings and he'll make music out of it
You got me with the bionicle hands xD 😂
And Nik is still better than I might ever be lol Cheers!
Ichika's stuff refreshes me tbh, even though i'm a bass player
dont disparage yourself Nik, myself and many thousands others love you and relate with you.
Nik: "He uses his guitar like a piano"
Jordan: Pulls out keytar
Mannnnnn! That last little song was one of the most beautiful Ive ever heard on a guitar! Wooooooo😢😢
