i had to search up a video about this because the instructions were confusing. I completely agree with you about the way they made this. its so bad. thanks for the help though
I am glad I wasn't the only one that got confused by the directions. The ones that came with mine were even less detailed than yours. Thanks for the help, I was able to get mine installed after watching your video.
Happy to hear I wasn’t the only one absolutely confused on the application. This was a super helpful video and my screen looks great - You don’t even know the protector there!
My Series 6 invisashield lasted less than 2 weeks before it must have snagged on something and lifted the edge and got all bubbly and weird. I was hoping it will level back out but it hasn’t several days later. Usually I am a big fan of Zagg products. But not this one. Nope. 👎
The reason for the split is similarly to how some stickers are designed. It provides a way to align the sticker first, so you can peel the backing off once it’s in place. It also provides a way to put stickers on w/o touching the adhesive. Once you get the sticker aligned, you hold it in place, partially bend (not crease) it in half, remove one half of the backing and barley tack it down. If satisfied with the positioning of the sticker, you then peel off the other half and stick it down. If you accidentally misalign the sticker during an install, you still have the side of the sticker with the backing on it, to lift the sticker w/o damage which is usually done, by trying to peel it off with your fingernails and then pulling it. Forgot to add that normally that split in the backs of stickers, usually creates a line down the middle of the sticker. I believe that can be remedied with a blow dryer.
to be honest , i had to buy this twice as i messed up the first one. The second one had a couple of bubbles on the upper side. the lower side was perfect. i went with my nail for 15 minutes in all possible directions over the bubbles and i could reduce it to a acceptable minimum. the next morning....it was perfect without any bubble or marking. i was sceptical at first (and pissed) but now i am impressed.
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who had trouble with this! I bought one and screwed it up. Target let me buy another one to try again… I’m scared to try again… lol 😂
The instructions definitely weren't well written/detailed. But the reason for tab 2&3 is because lots of people don't align it perfectly the 1st try. So it's to protect the sticky layer till you're ready. And then when you're ready you grab tab 2 and fold it towards tab 3 with 1 hand and with the other hand you run the hard plastic stick thing (can't think of its title right now. Lol) upwards from the bottom of tab 3 and as you get to where tab 2 is, the pressure of the plastic stick and you having it bent will lay the top half down on your watch. So tab 2 will come off as you push up. Then you turn the watch around, unless you can do it upside down, and repeat for tab 3. After you get those you can try to get any bubbles out and then pull off tab 4. Hopefully this makes sense. I'm a visual learner but I don't have 1 to show you either.
I agree the tabs are very confusing - but I watched the installation video produced by Zagg about 4 times to try and understand the process. The little instructional paper is too confusing...but watching the Zagg video and taking my time I was able to get a flawless install. I used a lintless soft cloth for a work surface and made sure nothing was kicking up dust particles in the room. At the end of the install I applied low heat from a hair dryer for about 5 minutes to make sure the adhesive was activated. Finally, I put the watch down and didn't pick it up for 10 hours. A note about the Zagg video - it gets a ton of negative comments because it is not filmed close-up...so you cannot really see the process of the install and the reason for the various tabs. So, that is why I had to view it so many times. The one thing that jumped out immediately is the difference between the Ultra Clear + and the Ultra Clear (without the plus). When I purchased the plus version I thought I was getting the protector that wrapped around the edges. Turns out Ultra Clear + is labeled as 'case friendly'...so it's just a flat panel that sits on the face of the watch. The Ultra Clear without the +, appears in a different Zagg installation video to have side edges, but I am not 100% certain of that as I didn't purchase it. Ultimately I am going to pair this with a Rhinoshield bumper case, as my Apple Watch Series 3 had a lot of scratches on it despite not using it in any environments that would cause scratching. I don't think your video is particularly helpful as you didn't know what you were doing and were just winging it.
Does water get trapped under the screen protector when you wash your hands? I have a clear full body bumper on mine and it constantly gets water trapped under it; I hate it.
The instructions were confusing to READ but zagg has a RUclips page and video instructions of how to apply this. All the steps are unique and make perfect sense for applying efficiently...
The bubbles I had on mine have slowly went away as of about a week after application. Looking sharp so far!

You saved me time and money. There is no way I will buy this. I remember ZAGG products from iPhone 3/3GS times. They were solid.
just finished mine.....looks like shit....great thanks shield
Oh man, I’m sorry to hear that 😂
Hahahahaha

Don't use the sticker. It put a glue like substance on mine. So ripped it of and going all natural.
Mine keeps getting off on the corners....
I followed the instructions the and I ended up with junk. Money wasted…

If you can’t figure out how to clean a device screen in 2021, you probably still read pop tart instructions 😂. Great video thanks!
Now I want pop tarts!
In this day & age, they didn’t include an applicator tool 😒😀🧐

Yep, mine has the same line, but may go away when i the sun/heat.

How has this been holding up for you?
As they said in the old days, RTFM.
Thank you for making this video! it helped me :)
Are the screens supposed to be spit in half?
Just put on mine and i had the same issue as you. Line down the middle and a few bubbles in the top half. Bottom half was clean AF though.
Mine has a bubble at the top corner now. Hoping it’ll go away here soon. Holding up strong 💪 so far
Thanks for the help
Should have practiced first.
These things aren’t what they used to be. I’m also horrible at putting them on lol

They paid you, didn’t they? Lol
