I also have tried different case for my Apple watch but none of them that makes me happy or satisfied. I am currently using the same as PET flexible screen protector (not glass) and i have to apple pressure to open application or scrolling down. My last option i am going to try similar form as plastic clear case with TPU screen protector.
I use the Spigen on my series 8 but I don’t like it. After application it looked really nice but one day later air pockets are visible. I’ve read good things about the Whitestone Dome protector. Maybe this is a good (and expensive) option to test?
I bought the hard case protector with tempered glass screen protection. I believe this option provides the best impact and scratch protection. The fact that the buttons are now recessed is a good feature also. Frankly I don’t like stickers on the screen. In the event of direct impact the force will be directed to the watch screen as well. I also like the hard case protector for it’s simple removal and therefore cleaning is easy. Simple to remove but not going easily fall off as it fits quite snugly. Perfect for me❤
I have a very similar one but it have a clear case part rather than black and it’s really nice. I would be scared of cracking my watch without the outer case part but I do like the look of just the screen protector
The problem with case number 2 is when I use the Apple watch for running there's will be condensation under the screen. At the moment I use a normal screen protector that came with a so called "fix tool", so installation is in seconds without any air bubbles. Although I love the latest running updates, it's still behind other brands like Garmin on that end.
If you want a really good device just for running I would recommend a Garmin watch. Most watches have a GPS loading screen to wait until it has a strong GPS signal(apple watches don't have this and can give crappy distance measurement for the first while). For most people this doesn't matter but if you do care about it I recommend something from the Garmin forerunner lineup.
I went for a plastic stick on style and I'm happy with it! At first it feels different/worse to use, you're right about that, but that either goes away or you just get used to it. I love that it's pretty much invisible and for me it's really just to protect from incidental little scrapes and scratches, for which it is more than good enough. I do boulder, where the screen could get more damaged, but for safety reasons I don't wear it on the wall anyway.
I got the JETTech hard case with tempered glass screen protector. Just received it today so I have no real feedback outside of it being super simple to install. I wanted something that can offer robust protection because I wear my watch on the underside of my right wrist. I have purchased other JETTech products and have never had a complaint. Like other commenters, I like that the buttons also receive a degree of protection because they are recessed.
I got option 2 and the screen was almost useless unless you pressed hard. Had to return it. Got option 4 the TPU “sticker style” and it is excellent! Love it!
I got option 2 but I took the screen protector off (stabbed myself while doing so) and now is a good case for my apple watch but with an option 2 as my screen protector
I also got option 2 and it worked and looked great until the watch got slight wet when i washed my hands. Water easily got in between the watch and the screen protector and then rendered the watch screen unusable until i took off the cover and dried the watch face.
I had the same problem. The screen was not very responsive at all unless I pressed really hard. Tried both as they give you two. One was a bit better than the other but gave up on them both in the end.
I used the bumper w/ glass & they fog up underneath after a workout & after washing my hands. I went w/ the TPU plastic and love them. Each 1 lasts a month. Cheap enough to replace 6 for $10
I love the fact that you can download a bunch of music on the watch then go to the gym or for a run with only the watch whilst still being able to listen to music! it’s annoying carrying a 14 plus everywhere lol
That is probably why you are a professor :). I believe the new model SE2, in combination with its microphone has the ability to sense when there is vibration or noise and, when you are nearby, automatically lights up the screen. Or it could be magic:)
I got the option 2 after watching your video. I find that the crown is a little difficult to rotate with the case on but on the other hand, it avoids accidental rotation during sleep. It’s good and I have no problems with the touch screen I just wish the screen on my series 9 was tougher without paying the extra money for the lte version that I don’t even need. I had a galaxy watch 5 and despite being cheaper, it came with sapphire glass and that thing never ever scratched!
Tried a hybrid in the past and was ok but hated it when I washed my hands and got water behind the case, rendering my watch useless until I took the case off and wiped it (often smudging it).. I think I’d go with the Spigen and a separate bumper case if I felt it necessary
I started with the third protector, having the impression that my touch screen did not work as well as without the protector. Therefore I took it off again, and looked for a better option :) I now use the fourth variant and am really happy with it :)
I’m definitely a fan of the hybrid case design. I have the series 8 just in aluminum and it keeps the scratches away from the body and looks great. The recessed crown doesn’t bother me at all and overall was the best choice for me.
first option is the best and cheap, u can buy more than 1 and it cover all the watch flexible, easy to get out and it don't detach easy like the others (what is not mentioned here)
I have option 5 on the SE 2. It really harmed touchsensitivity, especially in the middle of the screen. Other familymembers have the same issue. Without screenprotector it's perfect. Any way to fix this issue?
can't find the Spigen screen protector for series 8. Do you have any other recommendation for a screen protector like that one? Or where can I get one from spigen I didn't find it on amazon
Tried the solid case option, I could see the dots when light reflected, but wasn’t that bad. What I disliked the most was that the screen colors were a bit off (not that much, but noticiable)
In terms of your top three choices that you showed, would we be able to first of all use the clear sticker-only screen protector on the watch screen… and then would we be able to also use either of the other two top picks (the one that snapped onto the casing and screen… and also the Spiegen one that has the screen protector with the black framed outline)? I was thinking that may offer double protection for the screen, but was also thinking if we decided to use the sticker-only option … it would be nice to not have to peel off the sticker-only option and waste a sticker, if we decided to switch to the other two options (like if we were traveling or knew that we were going to be doing an activity where there were more chances of damaging your watch with). I didn’t know if we had both the sticker-only option and one of the other screen protector options, if that would affect the touch sensitivity of the screen, or if it just wouldn’t work. I’m thinking that it might be OK to have the sticker-only option on the screen, along with the snap-on protector (which covers both the case and screen), since I don’t think it is a sticker type of protector. ? But since the other Spiegen option is a sticker also… I’m wondering if that wouldn’t work or would maybe even pull off the original sticker-only option. Sorry for the lengthy message… thanks!
Hi Gwen, thanks for your creative approach :). I myself would not do two protectors as they are all produced with very tight tolerances, so a case on top of a sticker might just be too much. It might also impact the screen touch sensitivity. In your case you seem to prefer screen security, so I would go for the case option.
I have the second option and its really good until you wash your hands and water gets underneath and the screen doesn’t respond. Is there any solution for this problem?

Hi, there is another option that you need to try, glass screen protector with UV glue. It’s more difficult to apply as it involves liquid glue that you need to cure with a UV light, but the end result is the best.

For all runners out there, probably don’t get an Apple Watch for your running device. Most running watches have a loading screen so you wait for the gps to get a strong signal, Apple Watches don’t and therefore you will get crappy mileage measurements for the first while. If you want a device for running then I recommend a garmin. I have a forerunner and it works amazing

Not looking for a free watch, just came to say that ease of application and removal is critical. If you get water inside the case you don’t want to have to take the watch band off to clear it out. Ask me how I know.
@@DionMedia lol. I was doing dishes and got water underneath my Apple Watch case. To take the case off I had to remove the bands and that made things exponentially more difficult than if I had a snap on case.
I’m this is a little late and may not change the fact but the bubbles should come out over night or 24 hours and if they are still there then try to squeeze out not hard
I immediately put a screen protector on my Apple Watch 8 41mm starlight took a few days to find someone who Had them in a small country its kinda hard so i found a place went there and got 2 layer Protection a thin one on the bottom and a thickish one on top that goes all around the screen messed up with my iPhone 11 i didnt get a screen protector immediately i got one a year later and it has hairline scratches all over it but its Okay im a bit scared of the Apple Watch screen protectors 2nd layer peeling off accedentally its glass but still

Thanks for sharing your experience. I heard this complaint from some others as well
for me when i use the screen protector with the case i like using the crown more with it cause it feels more satisfying for some reason lol
I purchased Apple Watch se2 which better
My favorite feature has to be being able to call or text back and even listen to music.. I go on runs a lot and I do not like bringing my phone with me because it swings in my pockets when I run!
HI Daphne, then you might need a cellular version
Does Jetech fingerprints ?
My favorite feature is the heart rate monitor.
I have screen protector number 2 it is perfect for my Apple Watch I have no complaints about it and I think that it’s a very good screen protector
I have got instagram but not telegram
Hi Mouldy, be aware there is a lot of spam going around. The one above is one of them, sorry about that
@@DionMedia oh thanks
Not looking for a free watch, just came to say that ease of application and removal is critical. If you get water inside the case you don’t want to have to take the watch band off to clear it out. Ask me how I know.
HI Michael, I agree with the first part. And yes, how do you know “)?
@@DionMedia lol. I was doing dishes and got water underneath my Apple Watch case. To take the case off I had to remove the bands and that made things exponentially more difficult than if I had a snap on case.
I’m this is a little late and may not change the fact but the bubbles should come out over night or 24 hours and if they are still there then try to squeeze out not hard
Amazing video, Dion! Thanks for sharing with us!
