    I never thought I’d buy one of these in a million years 😳, BUT….. I ended up doing it and I absolutely love it. To me the BIGGEST thing that I feel is the best about these is the fact that if you are in a car accident or something your watch will be still on you and it will detect the accident and can call for help for you.

    Thanks for this well thought out and informative video. I have this doubt regarding updates being turned on: my new Apple Watch SE is paired with my old 2nd generation SE iPhone. In that scenario, would allowing automatic updates on the Apple Watch result in a disparity that would make my iPhone obsolete if it isn't allowed further updates in iOS?

    Hello Dion, I've just purchased the SE2 Apple watch. I am an older lady and you might say that I am "technologically challenged". I got my first Iphone (11) last December and now I got this watch mainly to keep track of my physical activities as I exercise everyday both indoors and outdoors. I was looking for a start-up guide video for the watch and I happened to find your videos. They are very helpful, however, a little fast for me but I rewind and watch it a couple of times over. So I have a couple of questions for you: 1 - which watch face would be the most battery energy saving??? 2 - I don't see a complication to add to the watch face that would show me the steps taken, so what's up with that??? 3 - Do I need to have the bluetooth option on my Iphone always turned on for my watch??? Thank you so much for these great videos! This newbie here really appreciates the help!

    • @DionMedia
      @DionMedia  10 месяцев назад +4

      Hi Christine, glad my videos are useful and based on your questions you seem pretty much aware of what is going on. I think you are much ahead of many other users. Concerning the speed of talking, I hear this more, but I have my natural speed of course. One tip is to play it at a lower speed. It then sounds a bit robotic, but it does help. 1, There is no one specific low energy watch face, but in general: the less complications the less energy. 2. Apple does not provide this, but it has its rings filling up during the day, so I would suggest using that one 3. Yes. Best, Dion

    • @ChristineB9046

      @@DionMedia Hello, thank you so much for replying to my questions and for the great tip regarding the speed at which to listen to the video! In the meantime, I was able to find "pedometer++" to add on to my watch face so that I can see my steps very easily and quickly. I enjoy the watch a lot, however, even with a lot of apps turned off, the battery still requires to be charged more often that I would like. But I know I am not the only one who finds this being an inconvenience. I guess I will get used to charging it! So, thank you again for this very instructive video!

    • @DionMedia
      @DionMedia  Год назад

      Yes, you have to do some steps though. On internet there are many useful suggestions, like this one
      If your cellular carrier offers Wi-Fi calling, you can use your Apple Watch to make and receive calls over Wi-Fi instead of the cellular network-even when your paired iPhone isn't with you or is turned off. Your Apple Watch just has to be within range of a Wi-Fi network that your iPhone has connected to in the past

      Hi, I warn against swimming with the Apple Watch. Although it can measure how many laps you do in the water, I know from friends that at a certain moment the electronics can be affected by the water. I am not sure, but I remember that Apple is not covering swimming (but check that). It is water proof for rain etc.

      Hi Reinier, yes you can.
      Use Apple Pay for contactless payments on iPhone
      Double-click the side button.
      When your default card appears, glance at iPhone to authenticate with Face ID, or enter your passcode.
      Hold the top of your iPhone near the card reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the screen

    Like most reviewers .... you totally ignore us older users. Example ... you totally reject the cell option... why would you want it .. if you fall and are not close to you Apple phone or don't own a phone ... you are out of luck ... BUT... if you have the cell option, the watch can still call for help and THAT could be a life saver.

    I don't like to keep my apple watch stay connected to my iphone all the time, But due to this there is permanent red icon (Iphone disconnected logo) on screen of my apple watch. 😭😩

    Sir, I am fan of Apple Watch. Only 1 negative point is SE having that they don’t provide “always on display” . All time black display does not give premium experience. As a Apple user, people always choose Apple for premium experience. 😊

    • @redsky_09
      @redsky_09 Год назад +25

      But the battery life difference is large. The SE lasts about 30hrs(not all time one) while the Series 8 lasts about 8-10 hours less just because of the always on display(I got the info from a video where a person tried the battery life of each apple watch in normal use including the time the watch is not in use.) In case you care about battery life and always on display you can go for ultra but the price tag has a large difference.
