Please, help me out.
My remote buttons are working because it displays the sensor light when pressed but no response from the TV.
The power button turns on the TV but the other buttons don't respond.

*tl;dr: Open the remote, break the microphone.*
The pictured remote has a microphone. My remote kept having issues. Buttons would become unresponsive. Buttons would 'lag' their function press. Batteries would not last long. Removing the batteries would clear these problems. So, since I don't like microphones I can't turn off, and since it seemed the remote was having resource issues: I opened the remote and then *I broke the microphone.*
Now, *all* the issues I had, including short lived batteries, *have stopped!*
