The Nissan GTR is a legend in the automotive world. It specializes in embarrassing supercars 3 times its price. We had a 2009 and 2015 GTR in the same place, at the same time, so let's see how they compare to each other!

lol, crazy thing is that it did. e85, and a tune, got him just under 10 on 20's in the 2015. my 2009 took an FBO to get to the same times. I am in about 8k from stock compared to his 3k.

+saeed al ameri Yup, I heard that and laughed a little. Once any of the years go FBO with E85 the playing field levels out. There isn't anything special about the newer ones that make them faster. Bolt ons and a good tune are the great equalizer. But a tune and intakes, even with E85, will not net you a 9 sec car.

+Born Boy They're not going to stop. Actually they don't even plan on making an R36, or whatever the chassis code may be at that time, until after 2020. The R35 stays until next decade.

+Mihi1205 the exhaust was handmade by sitto motorsports in royal oak michigan. it is 4" aluminum from the turbos back, everything is deleted except for 2 high performance mufflers. they used thick aluminum so it doesn't sound raspy like titanium at high rpms.

I wish I had one. I currently own a 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 though, but it's nothing compared to these beasts!! if only I had the money. Nice review! I enjoyed it and learned some. I will share this video now and start getting hate comments because I have a lot of family/friends that love your typical Camaro's, Mustangs, Porche etc. haha. The GTR is still my favorite.

In the fall of 2008 the 2009 GTR hit show rooms with a sticker of 68k but the dealers had a 20k markup. In January of 2009 Nissan raised the official price to 84k. The only people that got a GTR for 68k were those that pre ordered directly from Nissan. This is why the 2009's are selling for 60k, because the person that purchased it most likely paid 90k. Interestingly a brand new GTR stickers for over 100k but you can buy one from a dealer for 94k.
That makes sense… I saw one for 60k with 41k miles stock. Would this be a good investment?

Why do a comparison when their both not stock?
Because they can't exactly go and make it stock again for a new video, but still wanted to see the advancements in those 6 years. I still think it's not that good of a comparison, being they are both modded, but still.
+ThierryTheuns True, i get your point that they are both GT-R's. I think if they hunted enough, they could find stock ones of relative years to compare instead of turning into a watered down edition of "Auto-Tuner". I just felt disappointed the title was misleading.

On an average 2 to 3 mile track, yes, but the Nordschleife is 12.9 miles long. It equates to about 2 seconds on an average track; not nothing, but not an eternity.

Thank you for doing this video. I am in the market to sell my 370z and upgrade to a lightly used GTR. Went to Tampa over the weekend and checked out a '13 Deep blue pearl Black edition, then I got home and everyone in the GTR group said buy the '15 used instead, way better. Going to be a hard decision, if I could just find a '15 black edition in blue:) DONE!

Won't ever be able to afford one. But I still think it is a shame they raised the price to the triple digits. It was almost possible to own a supercar as an average joe.
That to me was simply amazing. It was like the people's hero. I applaud 👏 the s.0.b who works a Nissan that got the price tag raised and ruined the dream.

I've always been far more in favor of American Muscle (my personal vehicle being a '13 Camaro SS), but I'll always have some good amount of respect for Godzilla. For 70k-90k, you can outrun a machine that costs 200-500k.
Same reason why I'll always have some respect for the older tuners also.

I'm pretty sure the most problems were in the 09-2010.2011+Cars are probly gonna be great..Then again I have never owned a GTR nor do I know this for a fact .Just based this off Nissan having 09-2010 2 years to fix any flaws they found privately and by customer warranty reports
