BS bosses deserve BS cheese methods. Please note this does require a seal and poison, but both of these items are relatively early game.
I recorded this really impromptu, so please mind the music being the same level as my mic lol :P
EDIT 1: The seal is NOT at the First step, just near it. I really recommend watching a video about it though because it is really tricky at first but easy once you learn it.

Poisoning an unaware boss has been a tried and true cheese method in every Souls game. I'm glad they've never tried to change it. And thanks for the guide, I probably would have never thought to do this, which is ironic given what I just said.
right? i think it's the allure of horse combat + this being one of the only bosses with an actual stealth window which makes it come last to my mind. there is an enemy in the capital who is right next to a lift which takes you to the grace with Boc that you can easily use this method on aswell. glad i could help tho!

Yeah I did this method on old King allant in demon souls it works in a lot of souls games

@@endryl08 This boss wasn’t troubling for me at all, but we all have our own abilities. I’ll never understand gatekeeping the way other people play an OFFLINE SOLO game. If a less adequate gamer than me can find a way to outsmart the game as opposed to just outskilling every opponent, let them enjoy the game themselves.
I swear half of dark souls fans want non top tier gamers to hate their life, like the story and experience can’t be enjoyed for a casual gamer
I’ve watched videos of people doing this boss at lvl 50 and never get the lightning from sky shot at them…Here I am over 100 and he still one shots me with lightning from sky every time. Thank you for the help, dude!

Hey thanks a lot got this tip . This guy had me stopped in my tracks . Co op getting messed up solo get messed up . This tactic worked wonderfully. I’m not even magic build completely strength health and stamina. I used this tactic all in demon souls it was great. Thanks for the help brother
Just an fyi. You can crouch behind him and cast poison 3 time. It will start a tick for about 1062 damage. When that wears off, cast three more times and just keep repeating. Just let the mist from the cast clear before casting again. This will let you use less fp pots. You also do not need to sneak away to use the pots. Just stay crouched behind him and you can use the pots without alerting him. Also do not try sneaking up on him in a heavy load. Swap to mid or light. Not saying it’s not possible but very easy if in light.
This helped.
No need to poison more than once at a time! Wait for the green mist to disappear, even if it takes a while..one should do it, though I would put the overall hit rate at around 50%, or rather, the spell lands half the time. You’ll burn through FP and flasks more quickly if you overuse it

This was a life saver. I kept getting him so close lol
Still works as 1.10, run behind him on Torrent then quit out and load back in. You’ll be behind him and able to cast poison.
One shots and insane health bar really brought this boss down for me. Even with +5 bloodhound fang I was doing barely any damage to this boss and one wrong turn throughout a super long fight is game over. After about 50 tries I just want to progress. Thanks for the vid man.

Rotten Stray Summon +6 worked wonders for me. Does 40 DoT while I hid behind the wall to the left of the boss. But you do have to engage in combat for a bit for the summon to get in some decent hits so the DoT can proc 👍🏻

Btw, you don’t need to go away after casting the mist. As long as you stay crouched, the enemy won’t aggro and won’t know what hit him/her.

This was excellent. Cast 3 times and don’t recast until it hits for 1000+ and the mist wears off.

That said, he is fair. You get on Torrent, keep moving, only sprint when dodging fire or magic, keep circling him or moving in figure 8s, keep away from the edges, joust towards him, then away when he starts to attack, then pull away HARD and circle around to attack.

I wouldn't have the patience for it lol. I used the jellyfish ashes +4 and a poison grease on my +14 uchigatana. Always on horseback, and just try my best not to die.

But ive noticed if you stay close and circle him on your horse with a heavy blood loss weapon that deals more than 250 damage you can avoid any ranged combat because it keeps up close pressure and staggers him so much he cant do anything especially with a powerful spirit summon atleast +4/5 it is risky but the amount of damage you can get if your confident in horseback combat is insane however you need to train him to be out in the open without any walls near so you dont get pinched
that requires pressing more than one button so ill pass on that, but good find tho!

If you want to kill him faster apply poison then rotten breath,then run away until he respawn and he will keep the buffs,after that only apply poison because he will fire ball you second time and u wont have enough to apply it again :) so that shortens the time
Trust: Use a rune arc before trying this method. Seems to do more damage and spells last longer.

Mimic Tear and rock sling ftw. Just stayed at max range and kept lobbing rocks. I was hit once by the boss. Got him on my 2nd try, the first time I got in too close and it switched aggro to me off the mimic.

As a mage build, i had a much easier time with this boss. Dragon knight ash for aggro pull tank, azur comet for dmg. It melt eventually. The 2 golden knight at the other gate was much harder though. They wrecked me.

i have to cast about 10 times till it takes affect. Am i doing something wrong or is there a way to upgrade the spell?
Make sure you have the stat requirements for the Seal you are using, buy the Finger seal from the couple in the round table for 800 runes. It’s the easiest requirements to meet for a Seal(4 Strength and 10 faith) and then the poison mist should work better for you
This was also my first cheese. I’m still conflicted, but DTS was a total asshole and I was completely blocked.

Before the patch I killed him with the shield glitch with fire and I killed him so fast he could not get one single hit in.
Yeah I snuck up behind him used rotten breath on him you can let him de-agro on you he won't gain his health back.
Just beat it was going to resort to this if I didn’t beat him in 5 more try’s
