Better yet, start Bandit and beeline getting Reduvia. Then get the poison mist ash of war, put it on your starting dagger, then have Reduvia in main hand and your now poison imbued starting weapon in your off hand. Poison/Bleed dual wield build. Primary stats Dex and Arcane. Later on, put some points in Faith and roll the dragon arts, specifically rot breath. If you do it right and with a little early game running, you can fight Margit with ease by poisoning ning him, rotting him, and proccing bleed when the opportunity arises.
@@VentusSGN Well the hard part of that strat is getting Reduvia. Follow the river on the north of Agheel Lake. You'll be invaded by an NPC who is dual welding Reduvias. It's a bitch of a fight because of bleed damage. If you just avoid them for a bit, another NPC summons to help you fight the invader. Killing the invader gets you Reduvia. After the fight, keep following the river and further ahead is the NPC samurai who helped you. At the end of the river path is a dungeon that will net you a good hammer weapon. Another protip: If you're running a DEX build, definitely get the flail from Gatefront Ruins as a backup weapon. You will want that strike damage for certain enemies in the game.
also, the jellyfish summon will build poison too, and/or the serpant bow used with serpant arrows can apply poison pretty quick as well. you can get a lot of arrows if you farm runes because the isolated merchant south of the erdtree in caelid sells them 120 runes per arrow
Second play through and had never seen this. Took less than two minutes to get both and will help a lot. Thanks so much. I’m pretty lame LOL….would have helped a bit when you showed the map to put a point. But it was super simple. I’m an older guy and this is my very first game like this. Can’t imagine anything measuring up. Thanks again
Another cool thing is that keeping blasphemous blade on your offhand and killing enemies with another weapon will still give you health. Lets say you have marais's executioner sword on your right hand and blasphemous blade on your left, even two handing the executioner blade will give you health back after killing
Looks like you have both the Ash of War Poison Mist and the Poison Mist incatnion both equiped. Is this the only way to make it work? I found out you need a seal to make the incantation work, and I have the finger seal, and the incantation, but after equiping both I cannot cast the incantation (poison mist greyed out). I do not have the Ash of War Poison mist.
Some weapons will not allow you to equip an ash of War or a spell and you cannot equip a ash of war to a weapon you have spelled unless you use a lower grade affinity when equipping an ash of war
Thank you for producing and posting this video, your service is much appreciated. I would think that the Ash of War: Poisonous Mist, would go more appropriately on a weapon with long reach like a halberd, glaive or scythe. My thinking is that it applies a slow tic, so allowing it to eat away one would want to keep some distance. Also casting it in front of enemies while using a longer weapon would emit a wider arc of mist. Then again, I am thinking more along the lines of PvE. It would be hard to fill up the enemies bar in PvP before they consumed a Neutralizing Bolus. I am very new to Elden Ring, but I have been playing Dark Souls games for a long time. I imagine certain weapons can proc its effects faster than others, say in 2 hits rather than 3. I really love the incantation Poison Mist. It allowed me to cheese the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Stormveil Castle, by sneaking up behind it and casting Poison Mist. I also cheesed a few Erdtree Avatars. Poison Mist allowed me to kill these mobs solo at a very low level. I also used it on a couple of Bell Bearing Hunters before hitting lv 30.
I can't use Encantations at all. And this Draconic sentinel is starting to piss me the fuck off. Sorry for the swear but For real I need to know how to actually equip encatations
@@VentusSGN its not really the sword, im looking to use the poison mist itself, and I need a catalyst apparently to do so, Im not sure on which one I should get though haha I'll do some more research

Fun fact : poison mist ticks when applied using great stars heals the user per tick. Stack this with other regen items for fun.

Anything basic, like weapons you buy from Vendors and some dropped by enemies
non legendary weapons
