- How to EASILY Kill Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel Boss! Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel Cheese. We are taking a look at how to kill Draconic Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring. This Elden Ring boss is an absolute nightmare because during the 2nd phase he will start attacking you with lightning and he stops you gaining access to Leyndell, the Elden Ring capital. The Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel boss luckily has a cheese method that can be utilized very early in the game using an incantation that damages him over time without him ever knowing you're there. This Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel cheese is quite slow if you're a low level because the ticking damage doesn't deal a lot and the amount of cerulean flasks you'll have will be low at the beginning of the game but as long as you get 2 main story boss great runes, take down the Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel and you have access to the capital. It's not the lightning that's frustrating, it's that he'll spam the fire attack at point blank for no reason, which is almost impossible to avoid sometimes. Anyway, thanks for the guide, absolutely no shame in cheesing this bs boss.

Look, let's be honest. These games are difficult because every foe is so ridiculously OP that you have to dedicate a stupid amount of time to get amazing or level high as fuck by grinding runes. This time could be used to learn 5 new languages or do a masters instead of spending 3 hours doing a 3 minute sequence of a cave. The parrying is so crap that you spend the entire game fearing combat. In Sekiro we enjoyed combat. It was what we lived for. Here you spend 3 hours doing a 2 minute part only for a random rat to kill you with 2 hits even though you're level 90. This is poor game combat design let's admit that and move on. FS are just embracing bad game design by claiming they make "the most difficult games." i certainly will kit to the NG+. Story and level designs etc are good but the combat and 1 hit you die regardless of level is just poor form in my opinion.

This is the kind of boss I've got no problem cheezing. One shots me with 1125 health while I'm wearing the banished knight armor set and have 127 physical defense from my stats. F off cheating boss. He's also one of those bosses that become next to impossible to hit when they have a sliver of health left "Oh one more hit will kill him, I've got 4 flasks left and my summons is still alive. Oh nope he starts jumping all over, I can't even get close, oh he spazzed out and killed my summons and then starts spamming his unblockable one shot AoE attack and I'm dead." F off cheating boss, enjoy your poison cloud lunch.

Brilliant. This truly was one of the biggest PIA bosses thus far. Level 124, +12 weapons, and still getting killed.
I did the sneaking and just as I was half way behind him he turned to face me 😅.. it didn't end well

I snuck up behind the pair of sentinels pulled one to the back killed him. Then said fuck it ima cheese the 2nd and do the poison mist... as I'm doing it my wife calls I'm talking hitting L1 and got distracted and hit r2 .... it also ended poorly lol.

Cheers mate, this worked perfectly in May 2024! As a heads up to new players, to get the poison mist incantantion, you'll need a bow (and arrows) to shoot the dung beetle at the location shown in this video. You also need to be Level 14 in Faith to use the Poison Mist incantantion itself.

@@Born2Game 👍 He killed me to the point of frustration for 2 days. I almost had him a couple times using Rotten Breath and Wolves. This was a riot, munching chips and watching the ticks. Getting chased and hiding was a surprise. Thank you for turning frustration into fun.
Nearly broke my controller when I had him down to 1/8 health only for him to one hit my horse, cause me to lay on the ground for 5 seconds while he just calmly smashes me for 98% of my health. Biggest pet peeve of the game is when your character gets knocked down and decides they will just lay there and die

This still works BUT you have to be very careful. If you don’t continuously stay crouched or make any sort of noise he’ll notice you and draw aggro. I recommend taking your time and just slowly tap walk your way.
a tip would be getting a good mark thingy that’s good for stealth. i used crepus’s vial from the rykard volcano manor quest so he couldn’t hear me at all

I just run up on the horse and hit him with rotten breath, run away, wait until the first one wears off (he'll be below 1/2 health). He'll have reset by then at his starting position (usually lol). Run back to him, hit him again, run away and watch him die. For whatever reason, you can horse right up to him and give him a full channel the first time, and if he's reset back to his start position, the 2nd time as well. This only takes about 5 minutes...even less if you have more than a few points in arcane.
Once you take his hp to half with poison mist, use rotten breath and just keep running away (It will be faster this way)

Easier to do the other two at the other door you can kill both level one ..
Use Torrent to jump on nearby ledge garden (simple) and shoot arrows .. job done provided you don't run out .. they can't hit you or jump up even though they're right next to you.
I did this one normally but I was over levelled so it was simple .. now the first tree sentinel I found way harder ;-)

If you're a reasonably levelled caster with decent int and something like the meteorite staff you can snipe him from a fair distance with Loretta's Greatbow spell while mounted, run away to de-aggro, rinse and repeat. Took me about 12 fully charged shots to kill him. You will probably get caught with that reddish ground lightning crap he throws but this damages your horse and not you. Take a big pocketful of rowa raisins to keep Torrent's health topped off!

i found a cheese that works for me but its basically you summon the rotten stray and keep aggro on yourself until the ticking damage starts then just run away and after that you wait until he is 1hp and just come up to him and one shot him

One thing I have done, unintentionally, to make this game easy for me is not to rush. I spend many, many hours exploring so by the time I get to a non-optional boss I tend to be powerful enough to smash them to bits. The great thing about this game is that you don't need to be Souls master to progress, there is more than enough content for you to take your time and level up before moving on. I'm 130 hours in, lvl170, and have only recently started exploring the Mountaintops of the Giants.

There's nothing more satisfying than going back to an optional boss you forgot about and spanking him in 20 seconds, after clearing the area out without using a single vial. I've just slapped the living daylights out of Mohg first attempt 'cause I didn't get there till I was about lvl170.
Level 170 and you've already gone to Mountaintops of the Giants?! Why you are positively rushing the game! I'm level 257 and just got to the capitol.

This boss is the one that made me man up. I normally do hit and run tactics with my mage build but he kept killing me with the lightning after I got his health halfway down. So I did what any real nigga would do... I jumped his ass. I summoned my mimic and the gold summon guy and I rushed him with my adulas moon blade and finally beat him. This boss taught me that sometimes I need to fight close range and dodge instead of mid-long range and run.
Killed him on my prophet at lvl 70 with a magma blade and latenna lvl 4 hitting him from far away. Go in aggressively, but know when to pull back. Keep your health up 100 and dont be too greedy. Stagger him twice and he's done for. The lightning can be dodged.
Facts did it on my third try with plus 15 Nagakiba on my horse and I’m new to these games. Stack the bleed build up and dont get greedy like you said you just have to know when to strike. If the boss is spamming the lighting then close in on him and do damage to stagger and cancel the animation rinse and repeat. Dude was a joke. Im only level 48 btw. Just make sure you put the time in to level up your weapons/ summons whatever you need. Make sure you stay healed and have many estus flasks at this point also having the wonder of physics with crimsonburst crystal tear and the opaline tear will help. You got this guys or just get the faith and poison mist him for 15 min to each is own. But you can kill him in 5 min with a sword and a good strat though I will say he packs a punch just not harder than me lol.
nah that lighting one that shoots straight on top of you is nearly impossible to dodge, and on torrent it IS impossible to dodge, and it will stagger you off torrent every fucking time

For me its the pointblank flamethrower that gets me after he slams me with his giant halberd, or vice versa. When he raises his shield or charges lightning, roll or backstep
if you can, i really recommend rivers of blood + mimic tear. doesnt really matter if you upgrade it - you and the mimic tear can pretty easily kill him by spamming weapon art, its just about proccing bleed with as many hits as possibly.

Still works. You just gotta be a bit more careful since they seem to have widened his aggro and awareness sphere more.
I got no problem at all sneaking behind him, all you need is to hide behind the rock when he lost his aggro and return to his post, then slowing approach the horse back.
I at first thought they patched this method completely but yeah I was still able to but verrrrrry slowly and carefully. Once behind him it's just a matter of patience.
Here is another cheese that made me beat him 1st try.
Use the Rotten Stray, and spam Glintstone Pebble until your Rotten Stray dies. Once it dies, get on torrent and run from the tree sentinel until it dies. Here's how to dodge attacks.
Lightning shield: Wait until he starts moving his shield down, then run and double jump on torrent away.
Lightning Blade: Same thing as LS, just run away and double jump.
Fireball: Press your dodge button on torrent to gain extra speed and run.
Repeat until he dies.
I'll try this method on my next playthrough. I was lvl 120 when I fought him, so it was a lot easier, but I suck the entire sweaty ass at boss fights. So I used the plague rat summons which helped out with some crimson rot.

On my last run at The Draconic tree sent. I literally felt sorry for it he evaporated in under 20 seconds

Brought this guy down to a sliver of health twice in a row, brought him down to his second phase without getting hit by his club or the horses fireballs. Then all the sudden he started hitting me during all the windows that he was able to safely punish his attacks in.
Thanks man, I had to take my armored boots off to sneak better. Not sure if it helped but he kept turning around when ever I had armored boots on.

Another one you can do Is use roar medallion and use rotten breath on him then run with torrent wait for the first breath to fade then go back and cast it again then run away do this until he dies😁

Im watching this after defeating him i first used lone wolf summon and just kept attacking him with glinstone pebbles just to keep my distance from his annoying oneshot attacks and eventually i killed him(i also used a rune arc)
I'm surprised this still works. You can do this to Commander O'Neil and the Godskin at Windmill Village, probably others too. Not to be a spoilsport, but they should really patch this stuff out.
