sorry for the crappy phone juggling. i decided to record this at the last second because no one else had a video out there. feels good to give back to the you tubes community and whatnot. ha :)
I wish there was a way to share the printout of the instructions I go from the dealership. Lemme see if I can edit the video to it. There were definitely like 4 or so.
So I had to pull on them with needle nose pliers if i recall correctly. you MIGHT be able to leave it connected and pop the bezel off and feed the mirror through it to get it out of the way. That is you can still eave them connected and still get to the screws behind the bezel without needing to completely disassemble it. Look at the 3:30 mark and you can see that it's only one wire loom connected to the mirror. So, you should be able to leave them connected and turn the mirror sideways and pull the bezel over it.
Anyway you can link to the service manual page on how to remove the mirror, this part has me pretty nervous, don't want to break my mirror but I need to replace the blinker lens.
see if this works. sorry for the delay, I didn't realize you sent me a message. www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0jswqqn2inzj45d7z761d/Mirror-removal.WEBP?rlkey=l3ekquqvehbl7dn4lyglrbabh&dl=0
I bought them from the dealership. If I recall correctly, I found them on the dealers website and ordered them for pickup. I just now looked them up and the part number is: 84703355. You should be able to confirm with the dealership to get the ones that match your year. Right now they are listed at $100 for the set.
Do you have the part number for that? I am also going to replace the lower driver's & passengers window appliqués...and the rear door vertical appliqués. Chevy needs to offer black optics.
Great video thank you. I had the truck wrapped and it looked horrible with different color mirrors. Your video made it so easy.
I actually did this right before I had all the chrome on mine wrapped. The chrome mirrors are horrendous.
I just replaced mine last week. The first one took about 30 minutes . The second one took about 15 minutes because I knew what to do.
thank you! some a-hole hit our mirror on a tight road yesterday, need to replace the mirror cover and glass and now I know how, just ordered the parts

What was there only 1 screw hole on the cap you removed? Even though you removed 4 screws that were supposedly holding it in place?

The reassembly is a nightmare
