he has like 6 accounts, with 1 always being an offline challenger account unless it decays due to inactivity or being banned. he gets and maintains chall offstream with a playstyle thats completely different from stream.
on stream he is on one of several masters/high diamond accounts, literally making inting plays that he would not do on his challenger account

Baus playing in master/gm isn’t smurfing. On stream he hasn’t hit challenger since Sion and his strat was nerfed multiple times. He can hit chall off stream, but his peak on stream is gm. When he’s playing in master he’s trying to climb, not stay in that elo to punish worse players for content.

Smurfing/Fresh account culture is in my opinion the single biggest culprit for the stark decrease in the quality of Solo Queue across all brackets in recent years. The spread of this culture was mostly driven by streamers who slowly realized that they can't really contend with the people at the top of the ladder and in their search for "content" resorted to boasting about win rates. For some reason a lot of people saw those as impressive despite acquiring them essentially being an exercise in gambling, almost like rerolling in some gacha game or something. It got to the point where now having a lot of games on a single account while being high elo is seen as a negative. Playing at your peak and trying to push it somehow became shameful and that mentality was adopted by the large part of the community that likes to larp as their favorite streamer, slowly turning the entire ladder into a complete mess.

Tbf the community is also the problem most of leagues community is between bronze and gold and most players wanna see how challenger players carry in these said brackets because they can't really learn anything in challenger games e.g the plays challenger plays respect lower elo players would not because they don't know so they wanna see how a challenger player punishes such actions... so its becoming more requested among the bronze to gold community heck even as far as diamond they wanna see how these players punish certain things in their elo...

Wasn't Jensens original name Incarnati0n or something? Thought he started in eu around the same time as Bjergsen? I remember the narrative of him being so good that him joining the leagues as a villain was worth the potential backlash. And i also remember the casters giving him maximum shit and the camera man focusing on him when he did literally anything. Damn that was a while ago so i may be missing some stuff. But to be fair i do remember the leagues being super narrative driven and that was so much fun so i may be a bit high on nostalgia.
I'm pretty sure Riot doesn't ban anyone because they can't afford to lose players. Nobody is learning League for the first time anymore. Either you play and are addicted, or you hear about how unfriendly League is to new players and don't try. Riot can't get rid of the addicted people.

@IWD bausffs doesnt smurf but has had to rank up several accounts so that when he gets banned he can just log into another account, he has his 2 main stream accounts, Babus(has changed name recently), thebausffs and he has had off stream accounts where he has tried to grind to high elo top 50 kinda thing. you will almost never see him "smurfing", and he tends to do the ranking up off stream and not for content.

I don't agree with your take that 'normal' players dont get banned that often. Literary everyday I get notifications that a player I played with has been punished. Everyday. I agree that in the past it was the other way around, but not anymore. The amount of times Bausff gets banned (prob by a bot or a AI routine) and get unbanned a day later after contacting RIOT is proof of that.

Riot doesn't really want to ban people. The sunk cost with skins and the addiction is what keeps people in. I bet they have statistics on this and know that if they ban someone for a few months most of those people just give up, move onto different games, and never return. Content creators occasionally get punished to make examples of them, because there are more ways to punish them without completely blocking them off from the game and they'll be back after the punishment anyway.
You have to keep in mind, that the players tfblade is harassing in low elo, are the ones buying the most skins. But yea he will probably get a 2 week vacation like dante in korea and thats it.

tyler flames his team on chat on streams and i dont see him ever getting any restrictions or bans. he goes to eu and wishes cancer to players in front of thousands and he gets rewarded with free skins program and monetizing his gameplay. he frequently flames riot balance and matchmaking team. he has been perma banned with ip tracking and they unban him. one of his most famous clips is getting toxic with phreak, because tyler didnt want to have zyra as support so he just bans it which is super toxic behavior. later on he gets invited to play with phreak in riot event. jensen was banned for extreme toxicity and DDOSING which is even more serious of an offence.

you're very wrong about the regular player vs cc ban situation. idk if it's just because you don't interact with many people from the average playerbase but you can get banned for literally playing a normal game and not typing anything if enough people decide you made a play they didn't like.
Smurfing in league is so scummy, imagine trying to learn a game as hard as league and you’ve been grinding just got from silver to gold feeling good about yourself and then tf blade goes 30-0 enemy team and you drop back down. There’s just no place for it
So it depends for Thebausffs he gets banned for running it down and gets it appealed and so do I. I constantly run it down on kled because I think the best way to play the champion is to constantly risk for skarl. But just like thebausffs i also get banned for inting now and then and just like him i get it appealed alot.
The biggest problem i have with this game right now is if i get it constantly appealed theres 2 things you cant get removed: one is honor level, Two is 5 games nonranked.

The only actually impressive winrate account I’ve seen to date is PSZ and Apocalypse hitting top 10 challenger with a 96% win rate as a duo. Absolutely absurd to hold that winrate all the way through even when playing full chall lobbies
2:48 the reason people buy ranked accounts is for income. They can use these to inflate ranks in flex queue. For example you can play all the way up to masters with iron accounts as your teammates,making the average rank of players around gold-emerald consistently until the desired boost account reaches masters Not only is this one of if not the best method to do this without botting. The iron account can be used twice for once the master account is master they will need to play with a minimum required elo of emerald to reach challenger. This is how every single challenger flex player obtains challenger each seasons. They vs emerald s playing with a full team of emerald accounts with smurfs on those emerald accounts. It’s all the same as it’s been for a decade frauds at the top abusing a system riot cannot seem to fix this time less queue sniping and win trading.
I'm not even a top 0.1% player but when my D1/Master account (from season 8 to 11) decayed after almost 2 years of inactivity, I had to play like 50+ games from literal bronze to get back at least D4 and got it with like a 90% winrate. I almost gave up cus the shit was so boring.
To me it's weird that the community thinks that Riot should go out of their way to t1 ID ban content creators for shit that normally would get a 15 day on the account or at most account ban.

Deranked accounts are mostly bought by boosters so they can duo boost pisslo people and the MMR is low enough that they don't need to replace the accounts as much as fresh level 30s.
The server has FINALLY after about a year realized that yes I bought the account but no Im not a challenger player on an alt I was just out for years and didnt want to lvl30 an account again. The difference between smurf queue and regular queue is so stark. It was a lightswitch situation.

A fresh 30 account is in high dia mmr within 10 games if you are actually good, a iron/bronze account will destroy everyone under emerald for atleast 50 games.
