It may be an odd one but id absolutely love for someone to make a compilation of clips of all the incredible music they had back then.

The Vr4 would be in huge demand today. Top Gear shortsightedness strikes again.

Top Gear was always a bit rude towards their Pacific competition.
I never understood the wigging they gave about the Peroduas and Protons since back then (still now for Perodua) they were just older Daihatsus and Mitsubishis

@@JolteonRacer every European (German) car that wins every group test on old Top Gear will be for spares or repair now, where the Asian competition is either still delivering your pizza on time (Micra) or costs more than a Ferrari (Skyline GTR, Subaru 22b). They always fixed the teats so the car they would go to thier Public schools in, would win. Same on Fifth Gear.
I enjoyed the programmes at the time, but the snobbery shines through when you watch now.

@@djgoldthing7166 The bias seemed to get stronger as time went on. I've been obsessed watching these old clips and to be fair I don't think they've been truly unfair. The Micra won the Supermini comparison, Jeremy raved on the R33 Skyline, and Quentin loves the Honda Legend.
I dunno, seemed to be after 1997 when the snobbery kicked into high gear

@@djgoldthing7166 Just cause a car is cheaper to run in the long run, doesn't make it a better car. There are more aspects to cars than just the maintenance costs. Think about the presenters, do you think all they care about is maintenance costs? They constantly test drive tons and tons of cars, so driving dynamics, styling, performance, brand identity matter a bit more in their case. And just cause the PlayStation generation hyped up the Japanese cars of the 90s, doesn't really change their opinions on their preferred cars, nor does it lessen them as well.

Hello, thank you for uploading this episode. I've noticed that it's not complete though as there should be a comparison between the Audi S6 Avant and Mercedes E 55 AMG at the beginning of it. Has it been cut for some reason? Thank you so much.

Correction - the E430 Merc and the S6 Avant Quattro were shown at the beginning, with the start of the BMW Z8 review, but yeah.

Hi, it appears that your 1997 episode of Top Gear that you've just uploaded has been probably blocked in every country except for Japan.
