You are so enjoyable to watch and learn from. I just found you and tell all my sewing friends about you… my bestie and I are going to start the 2024 scrappy quilt blocks together I love it! Thanks so much for your content and teaching skills
Hi Jessica! Somewhere I believe you asked if we had questions…wondered if you have made the economy blocks or square in a square? Seems like all the instructions call for cutting down, which I don’t like to do anymore than you do. So just throwing this out for you to maybe put on your one-day list? Thanks so much and have a great weekend!! LB ❤
There are 2 on the ladder that are in Lori Holt fabrics. The top one (which has stars) is called Two Step and the next one down (that has very large blocks) is called Happy Go Lucky. Both are from my book- Precut Parade (which is out of print now that Martingale has closed). Two Step is in my shop here- jessicadayon.etsy.com/listing/1579190471/two-step-quilt-pattern-layer-cake-quilt Happy Go Lucky isn't in my shop yet but will be soon.
That is so interesting you drew the lines on the bottom…my thin sharpie lines on top do wear off fairly quickly. Do let us know how that works, and thanks for the video!
Hello Jessica. I am enjoying your videos and would like to make a trip around the world quilt someday. I want to get an acrylic table from Sew Steady for my 770 QE Plus. Where did you get yours? I called Sew Steady and the lady I spoke with said they don’t put the brand name sticker/label on the tables. She says I would have to get it from Bernina. Thank you.
I usually just eyeball it. I think when I first started doing it I would use a second ruler and put it up against my machine to know my first ruler was straight. Then I'd remove the second ruler and draw the line.
2:16 the bent foot gets fixed. very satisfying.
That was so clever!

Thank you so much!
Thanks glad I found you
I'm glad you did too!
Hey Jessica. Thanks for the tip on putting the lines on and putting them back on the bottom also. Never thought about that! Have a great day!❤😊
You too! Thanks!

Yes, thank you! I will add that to my tutorial list!
Hi Jessica, what is the quilt behind you that is made with the Lori Holt fabric? Thank you, and thank you for sharing all of your ideas with us.

I got it through BERNINA from my BERNINA dealer.
Do you use a scant 1/4” when piecing? If not, how do you get your pieces so accurate?
I don’t see with a scant 1/4”. I never have and I think the accuracy comes with tons of practice.
How do you ensure the first line is straight?
I usually just eyeball it. I think when I first started doing it I would use a second ruler and put it up against my machine to know my first ruler was straight. Then I'd remove the second ruler and draw the line.
