    I test drove the Ocean in Chicago on Friday and absolutely loved it. I had no hesitation after the drive and it sealed the deal for me! The black abyss plus interior was so nice and comfortable and there was more room in the front and back than I thought there would be.

      I have a friend who got one and within a week he had to get the ac fixed AND half of the air blowers stopped working. They also gave him 1 tire that’s different from the other three. He said the car drives great it’s just the quality issues is what he doesn’t like.

      @rocketshiftgaming5693 I spoke with a Fisker technician in person and they are changing out all vent motors on already produced cars and going to a different motor on all new cars being built.

    I appreciate your content. There is enough fanboys for Tesla. We don’t need them for Fisker to. I’m a long time EV enthusiast and none of the early cars have been finished software wise. Model 3 lacked basic functions. iD.3 is still lacking, iPace kept lagging and so one. I hope all success for Fisker and I’m sure the small problems will be solved. They just opened Swedens first Fisker Center close to where I live and I’m going there soon to see the cars in person.

      My friend got an Ocean and he regrets it cause his previous car was a Volvo XC 40 electric and the quality on that was way better than Fisker. He’s planning on getting either another Volvo electric like the new EX 30 or the new Fiat 500e

    Keep up the great work! I appreciate your honest reviews. I cancelled my One reservation a few months back. Yes the Ocean has great range, but it’s using a battery that is at least 25% larger than a Model Y. Weighs 1,000 lbs more and has lots of bugs. Yes it is better looking than a Model Y but I can get a new Model Y Performance for $50k right now. And enjoy the $20k savings!

    Great job, my wife and I test drive it in NJ. I have commented on this previously, and we have an Ultra on reserve. Funny enough, my wife's biggest complaint was no "Frunk". In fact they told us only a technician can access the hood? We do use our Frunk in our MY, primarily to transport leftovers after going out to dinner. It also is a great storage place when we make long road trips. It didn't bother me, but it will be her car😊

    • @Aslash304
      @Aslash304  Год назад +1

      I think the lack of a frunk was a cost cutting strategy. Also, it allowed for a more traditional approach to the engineering process because it allows for all of the space under the hood to be used for components. There’s definitely room under there for storage, but I’m sure the lack thereof saved a few parts, and a few dollars. Thanks for the feedback. I hope all goes well with your Ultra, keep me posted if you’d like, I’d love to hear about your experience, Cheers!

    Thank you for your videos. I am about to get my Fisker Ocean One, tomorrow as a matter of fact, and been trying to learn as much as possible. Your videos have been tremendously helpful. I saw Doug Demuro's review too, and your comments are on point, but I am confused by the car being a FOO, but not one of the 5,000. I thought the One is by definition one of the limited edition, 5000 units. What did I miss?

    • @Aslash304
      @Aslash304  Год назад +1

      The vehicle that Doug was selling on Cars and Bids was no doubt a demo vehicle like the one I test drove. It was made as a demo or test unit, and after the testing was finished, ownership was transferred to a private party who decided to sell it, or Fisker communicated with Cars and Bids directly to make it available for sale to test the market. There is also a 3rd scenario where the Ocean One’s digital signature was removed until the sale was completed, but it’s less likely. Since the only version of the vehicle being built right now is the Ocean One, technically all of the units are Ocean Ones. Also, Fisker promised that all Ocean Ones would be delivered before the Extreme trims were delivered, so in order to keep this promise, the model was deemed an Ocean One, even if it isn’t one of the 5,000. I hope this helps. Thanks for your input and for tuning in, Enjoy your Ocean, Cheers!

    Thanks for sharing. I have the FOO for a week & love the drive. One key reason I brought it is I don't want a Tesla (a personal preference, nothing against Tesla)! I also like the recycle material idea. Outside, the car looks beautiful. Inside, the car is simple and average. I'm surprised that it doesn't even come with floor mats. Have a number of issues (e.g., key fob, air vent) and hope they could be resolved soon. Funny thing is that one of the Fisker support persons told me if I don't hear from them on my reported cases in 7 days, contact them again!! Well, this is a "young" company going through growing pain, I will try to understand and be extra patience!

    Thank you again for coming out it with a very objective review of the Ocean. You tell it as it is and that's what counts. Keep up the great work!
    I pulled the trigger on a Model Y since it was readily available, and I don't get the hype on Teslas. It's good to imagine how they were able to design and build a car around the battery technology but beyond that, it's just another car with nothing really special to it.
    Five years is not a long timeline in automotive language and I expect the Ocean to evolve and improve some more. By then, it would also be readily available.
    Looking forward to your next video!

    I appreciate your videos, very informative. I took a test drive this past weekend in Chicago. The staff was great as was the overall experience. It was my first time driving an electric vehicle. It is very nice looking in person, didn't like the Blue Planet as much as I thought I would. Software is definitely a little slow, the ride on 22's was better than expected, larger than average sunroof opening, plenty of legroom in the back, I'm 6'1. I'm an Ultra reservation holder, but pricing from other EV's is starting to become more competitive. Currently undecided.

    I have no regrets canceling my order weeks before delivery. They kept my $5000 as contracted (this was expected) and I pulled my reservations for the Pear. I have zero confidence in Fisker and all I see is problems down the road and customers stuck with an 80K vehicle that was released before it was ready. All I could picture was having the car lock me out or have a software issue and leave me or my family stranded. Why, because its already happened. I will be in Mass in a few weeks with the Rivian; possible time to get together and talk EV stuff.

      Nice looking car but that's that at this stage. First Gen model from a newbie was always likely to have gremlins and issues. Someone quite rightly said, he never buys a car unless its a third Gen model. Makes sense. As soon as I realised, I cancelled my reservation $250.
      I now have my eyes on Porsche Macan EV, coming soon :)

      Thanks! No worries. I am excited to venture into other brands. Fisker promised a lot that made me spend the $5000, then they slowly changed their promise of what i would get for my $$$ I never agreed to loosing advanced cruise when i spent the 5K..... I never agreed to only 500 boost options..... I never agreed to lots of things that were changed or removed. Seems like a lot of $$$ for a car that is not up to par software wise, driver option wise and range is going to be a big letdown. 360 will be more like 250 in the winter i bet. Yes I know EV's loose range and speed is a factor, i own an EV, but man will this not be good for owners when they realize the car has terrible software, less range than a Rivian and honestly, poor storage options with no frunk. I use my frunk daily. All these little things make me hold Rivian as the bar. There needs to be a better vehicle for me to spend 80-100K on or I'm just going to wait. @@harmony3138

    Hey wow, thanks for the ILLUSTRATED answer (and research) on my Vehicle to Home question! That’s reassuring to know.
    I am still trying to wrap my mind around paying monthly for adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist. Those are… checks Google … 30-year-old technologies and have no rational reason being pay-to-play. Will we have to subscribe to a seat service, rent our rims, paywall for power windows?
    And absolutely yes, it’d be great to hear your reviews of other EVs too!

    It may sound silly, but the lane departure warnings are one of my bigger concerns. Fisker is almost certainly going to address the actual problems with the vehicle given time, but the lane departure warnings were a deliberate choice, and I don't see that changing. The last thing I want is my car constantly beeping/chiming at me for various reasons. Question though, does it always give the warnings? Or only when you're changing lanes without signaling?

    • @Aslash304
      @Aslash304  Год назад +1

      This is a great question. I don’t think we will know a complete answer until the full intelligent pilot suite has been released. Based on the manual, some things can be turned off, but they must be turned off in the menu every time you drive. And lane departure warning will chime no matter what. The only savior is if it only works at highway speeds. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!

I’m excited and plan to move forward with the purchase assuming software updates will be coming out regularly. Hey, I enjoy all your reviews. Ocean is a startup and like many before them they will work through the tech issues. Even established car companies have troubles. In July 2022 i ordered a Tesla Y with expected delivery was April to June 2023. After tesla had lots of cancelations in late 2022 due to the new federal tax credit starting in 2023 tesla call and offered to give me the $7500 discount and 10,000 miles to take delivery by Dec 31 2022. Yea!!! I took delivery and I got a Y with out parking sensors???? A basic tech on most cars for 20 years oh and something that’s really important when you have a 17 year old driver. They didn’t tell me that they removed the sensors to save money and they were working on the software for the cameras to do the work….I drove it for 4 months without parking sensors and the software currently is not even close to the old system of sensors around the car. They also didn’t tel me that they were planning to cut the price shortly after I took delivery. Tesla dropped the price 2times in the next few months costing me nearly $10,000. Talk about feeling ripped off!!! Well it’s fair because I did get ripped off!!!… Good news is the ocean extreme I ordered in June 2022 is on a boat coming to the US!!! It has radar sensors and last week when they dropped the price I opened my Fisker App and my purchase price went down!!! I will take my chances with the smaller company that cares about it’s customers

    I was able to get a demo drive on Fisker’s visit to Chicago last week. Important things to know that I learned at the demo: 1. The sun solar panel sun-roof will give you a max of 5 miles a day! This is a complete waste of added expense as it adds another 10k plus to the car. So I am not sure what they were thinking besides the cool look. 2. There are heated seats, but not”air-conditioned” seats. 3. Fisker will be adding the NACS charging port to the cars in the 2025 models. I did think the “plus” interior was nicer than I expected. I am seasoned EV owner, the frustrations everyone talks about is normal for the first 2 years when the models are just released. You can look back at the Tesla reviews when they first put cars out. The question you have to ask yourself is “Do I want to buy a car that is done and ready to go?” Or do I want to buy a car that philosophically makes sense to me, but I will have to wait about 2 years for everything to work properly? From what I have seen, if you want a Fisker, the “Ultra” trim, and all the packages makes more sense the paying for a solar roof that barely does anything. Also, choose the 20 inch tires if you want the best range. They are plenty big. The 22” tires are huge and waste a lot of energy.

    • @Aslash304

      The Ocean One and Ocean extreme are the same vehicle. The Ocean One has a badge on the back and on the screen, it’s numbered out of 5000. Everything else is the same when it comes to the Ocean One and Ocean extreme. The Ocean, because it is the initial effort from a startup, will feel less polished than offerings from other companies. The trade-off is that it’s got a lot of power, some industry-first features, like the solar panel, and best-in-class range. If you’re looking for the most polished feel in an EV, I would drive a Volvo C40 recharge or a Polestar 2. Also, the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 feel polished as well, even though they are less luxurious, and offer less range. Happy to help if you have any additional questions. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

    Check this out Adam. After cancelling my 2 year order this March, Fisker kept emailing about when I will get my car (UK). Logged on this weekend and they have finally cancelled my One order, 5k deposit refunded, but the 250 they kept has been converted into an Extreme reservation in a combination I didn't choose, laughable. Especially when they are now chasing me to convert to an order. Perhaps a lot of the so called 'reservations' are like my ghost order? I know I wouldn't trust HF to walk my dog

    I'm holding on to my Extreme reservation for now, as its not even close to delivery.
    I'm waiting to hear if they will allow me to change my wheel configuration. I really feel they've misled people with the slipstream wheels which were set at a higher price to give the impression they were a premium rim. I was shocked to learn from an owner video that they are just a hubcap. No way I'm paying $70k to ride on hubcaps.
    I'm waiting and hoping software issues will be addressed due to customer feedback including android auto etc and google maps.
    But keeping my eye on the more expensive Polestar 3 just in case.

      The polestar 3 looks really appealing. I’m sure it’s a good choice. However, you’re right about the higher cost. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!

    Please give your attention and scrutiny to the polestar 3 and Porsche Macan ev. Your info on the Ocean helped me decide to cancel my order.

      Nice looking car but that's that at this stage. First Gen model from a newbie was always likely to have gremlins and issues.
      Someone quite rightly said, he never buys a car unless its a third Gen model. Makes sense. As soon as I realised that, and watching Adam, I cancelled my reservation $250.
      I too now have my eyes on Porsche Macan EV, coming soon :)

      Will do, I’ll get ahold of them as soon as I can. Thanks for your viewership, it means a lot, Cheers!

    Just got the email yesterday that my Ultra is in Production. Anyone have a timeline of how long my wait is now?

    • @Aslash304

      Great Question: Fisker hasn’t released a timeline recently regarding the Ultra. I would wait until the Q3 earnings call in November. They may announce it then. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

      I agree. Fisker promised to deliver all Ocean One models by September 30. They were able to produce them, but they have not delivered them yet. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!

    The big risk for this car is the low production volume. 14.000 car this year only. How much resources will this give Fiskar to develop the software? Compared to Tesla that produces 14.000 car in 3 days....

      Well put. I am hoping all the necessary improvements are made, but the length of time, and limited resources are certainly a concern. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!

    What is wrong with 32 amp charging? My model 3 is 32 amp. Its charging at stations that should be the issue, not home.

      I couldn’t agree more. I charge at 24 amp at home. No issues. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
