Tiny Storm in a Teacup - Derecho Time Lapse - Omaha, NE June 3rd Derecho TorCon7 Weather Event

June, 3rd 2014 TorCon-7 Derecho Weather Event that started in northern Nebraska then swooped into the Blair, Omaha, Missouri Valley, Crescent, Council Bluffs area and beyond...
This the view from the Blondo St. overpass 1 mile south of Waterloo, NE. Witnessing this event was quite spectacular! The aftermath is humbling....
Notes on Video / Photodude: I am not a professional photographer, I just LOVE Water, Air, Earth, Fire, Ether and capturing moments of the cosmos and sharing with those that think its cool....
I shot this after I heard the sirens blow in Elkhorn, NE at approx 4:02pm.... checked the radar and looked at the sky....grabbed my camera bag and headed west to the Elkhorn River Valley, perched up on the Blondo St. overpass with 3- ways to escape. After the initial push, I changed angles on the (you guessed it) GoPro3 and safely followed east on Dodge St./Hwy 6
Approaching the 168th exit, looking at the time (4:45ish) and the distance to cross Omaha during rush hour (and during a storm) I assumed I would hit a traffic jam so I bailed on the 168th exit hoping to head south then east again to trail the storm to the Iowa border (MO River)....instead i got caught in traffic and that killed the rest of the shoot :( in retrospect, I think if I stayed on Dodge to I-80, I may have been able to continue the awesomeness....
