My "problem" in hiring that ive felt is that i do not look like a typical geek. Im somewhat muscular and big and many project managers are intimidated. They think that i ll be hard to manage. Man, even tho my skills are more than good for offer i get refused because " we found another guy "
That could be a limiting belief on your part. As someone who runs a business and hires people, I love to see someone who is in great shape. It means you are disciplined, very very disciplined. And if there's one thing that's lacking in a lot of the workforce these days is discipline. There is an abundance of people who whine and complain about how life is so unfair and how they are a victim of the present day. So in my books, I see your situation as a benefit. So, what I would recommend for you is to try and speak with a recruiter or Software engineering manager and pay them to do a mock interview with you and then give you feedback on what the issue is. That will be the fastest way for you to get to the bottom of the real issue.
It's a mix. I had that shirt on, which was marketing my skills on autopilot, while being in the right room. You can manufacture the second part though. Look at events for software entrepreneurs that focus on funding, such as accelerators or incubators. When you're in a room with a bunch of those people, and you're marketing your skills in a way that everyone in the room can see, you'll get some "bites" on your hook. Note: this doesn't work if you go to an event that's targeted at developers though, such as a job fair. You'll be surrounded by other devs. You want to be the only dev in the room

Great idea. Ive felt that sometimes guys from a team feel in danger that some with better work ethic will get in their place. Many different reasons
I need to fix mine😅
Get on it! 😂
But the first example just meant you get lucky, or right place at the right time.
