Lyrical masterpiece. Soulful serenade!
There won't ever be another Gregg Allman 😢 His music will carry on and there are bands coming up that carry on the Southern Rock Tradition and they give me hope for the future of music. Gregg Allman will always be remembered, missed, and loved. Rest in Peace Gregg, Duane, Randy, and Butch. May you all be together. 🙏👏❤️✌️🌼❤️
I don't know what to say..,grew up with it, still with it, and I'll die with it❤. Love you Gregg forever
I MISSSSSSS YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH I CAN NOT BREATHE!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
HELP ME LORD!!!!!!! 😭😭😭
R.I.P. Gregg Allman Dec. 8, 1947 - May 27, 2017...a true legend.
Our beautiful Southern Boy is gone but can never be forgotten! I know we all gotta die but this has hit very hard. I adored this man....he was a kind and gentle man with a beautiful but sometimes tortured soul....losing Duane was more than he could handle...losing my brother as well, I know how he felt....sometimes it's just too much to bear and is easier for some than is for others. I take comfort in knowing he is finally reunited with his brother and is at peace. Rest easy Music Man...Love and admiration forever!
My thoughts and prayers go out to his five beautiful children, his grandchildren, his family, brothers in the band, friends, and fans. May God bless each and every one.

i feel you , and still feel this way along hard for tom petty ....
I LOVE HIS MUSIC, HIS VOICE....I AM A LITTLE TOO CHOCOLATE IN MY APPEARANCE, BUT AT LEAST I GOT THE HAIR.....wish i had the voice. BUT I DO HIM WELL, WHEN I SING
Great comment and well expressed i needed that perspective about him losing duane thanks god bless all
@@MrJEFFSAUSAGE oh man yer right both such a huge loss to real american music
when you put those 2 names together in grief it hits doubly hard .
No more songs from Tom?
Theres enough i feel enough that have gotten me through most of my life
W gregg, i was always a deadhead n kinda ignored alotta the Allmans more obscure stuff so there are still allmans gems i can find that are new and exciting but im really getting into thr allmans lately goin deep n stuff
So the loss of gregg hits hard bxuz ive missed chances to see him many times
I was lucky to see jerry garcias last concert ever wen i was a kid i am grateful (pun totally intended)
Tom ,i feel,
was one of the best rock n roll songwriters of alltime .
as an older man,
and a musician myself,
i can appreciate all my heroes in a heavier perspectice and the loss of these guys hits hard sumtimes .
All our rock n roll heroes are getting old.
Bob dylans " not dark yet" is one of my fave songs ever its about knowing death is coming towards youre door ...
But that song wouldnt exist w out bob living that out i find beauty in death rhru that song .
its parta life but this music n the comments and love we have for this lifestyle we derive from our love of rock n roll music n art is immortalized solong as we keep listening n talking about it we will keep it together
Ive been struggling w grief for a few years its hard but this comment i leave is where im at w loss in general
Ive been doing okay lately n music gets me through god bless
Just amazing. The blackest white singer I've ever seen. Such soul in that voice
What a beautiful face and gorgeous mouth. Nobody will ever be able to sound like him.
FACT.
Along with his beautiful hair!
Those teeth! I love his mouth and watching him sing up close!
I love how he barely opens his mouth while singing. ...💥💥
Both his sons, Michael and Devon, sing just like him.
I still haven't been able to cry since he passed away.
Grew up listening since I was 9 years old...it's amazing how people you don't even know can feel like a part of family.
Greatest southern rock singer of all time....a blues legend as well.....
Rest easy Midnight Rider... my heart is broken.... so glad to have had the opportunity to see you up close!!!! will always be a Multi Colored Lady!
I know “Brothers of the Road” was maybe the Allmans’ most panned album by the very standards they set for themselves. But the fact is, it had several awesome songs in it, like this one. They’re one of my most seen bands-twice on this tour alone, five times over a few year period. And I saw Greg sing this song several times in those shows. It’s classic Greg vocals and lyrics. A grossly underrated tune.
So true, he was brilliant...
Amen Brother....
Thank ya You Tube that we can still Enjoy Gregg's music Rest in Peace Gregg ✌️❤️ to y'all
R.I.P. Brother Gregg - Your music and the ABB will play on for 100's of years. Watching this video with a smile and tears 😭
I hope you are haunted by the music of my soul when I am gone....Gregg Allman

Gregg Allman was the most gorgeous man that ever walked this earth.
omg yes
Gregg at his best! He's alot older than me, but that was one sexy man back in his hey day. He had the voice and the looks...GORGEOUS!
love this song. Gregg Allman was Gorgeous singing this ❤🎸🎤😊
I was a baby in that crowd with my beautiful mother....my hero...and the person that made Gregg run through my veins my whole life ....106 shows in my life...till his final show at the laid back festival my heart always stayed full with pride and amazement everytime...but the laid back festival I cried the whole time....I just knew...
Not a gay bone in my body, but he was good looking dude in his day. One of my influences musically and the way he handled him self.

Never knew how I needed him...
A naturally beautiful song.
My Gosh.. I MISS This BEAUTIFUL.. KIND.. HUMBLE n Oh So TALENTED Man Sooooo MUCH ❣️ I had Backstage with this “Iconic” Band in 1980.. at the Iconic Convention Hall.. Asbury Park NJ 😎 🌅 🎉 🍾 💫 I partied like a “Rock Star” 🌟 All “True Gentlemen” 💙 🍑💙 If ANYONE Has Footage of that Concert PLEASE LET ME KNOW⁉️ There were No cell phones back then 😔 I was sitting on the stage behind Gregg n Next to Paulette (Pauly) Dicky’s wife at that time ( Duane Betts Mom)
Had the great pleasure to have a chance to meet Gregg in Daytona beach.. In Dec. 1978..still have the picture of my dad and Gregg that was taken that day.. They were in bar.. It was Ringo's bar was the name.. I was only 8 year's old... Still have the original Polaroid...
I remember reading in Gregg's book, he was talking about the woman that owned a bar, he said she looked like Ringo Starr, that's how she got the nickname.

i never knew how much a song needed the world. ....
...i love all 'close ups' of Gregg Allman 🌼
I have to admit, he is so handsome and so sexually attractive. Hard to keep my eyes off him, and his voice is equally beautiful. I am weak at the knees for that long long blonde hair.
great tune...
Also, the background vocals are tremendous.
It's hard to imagine one's a dude!
I was just thinking that: that the backup singers are fantastic.
@@sblair6362 I was that dude! Well, I still am that dude. That was SO much fun...

So handsome here. Miss you Gregg.
I love this song !!
LOVE THIS ❤️
Time and time again I've felt these wall's of plaster, closing in,
And more than once I've felt that lonely lonely feeling,
Wondering why and where I've been,
Just about the time, I think I can't hold on,
You're always there to keep me hanging on and I say,
[Chorus]
I never knew how much a man needed a woman
(No I never)
I never knew how much a boy needed a girl
(Needed a girl)
I never knew how much I needed you
Day after day I join the rat race,
Tryin' to make the most of it,
I keep on falling down down the ladder,
Still trying to stay on top of it,
Just when I was sure,
Nothing could get no better,
Oh I realize,
I still love you more than ever,
[Chorus]
Today I watch the sun set on the freeway,
Strangled on the poison air,
But miles beyond, on the other end,
I know, you'll always be waiting there,
Girl you treat me,
With your kindest hand,
And in my heart, in my mind,
And I'm so glad
Today I watched the sunset on the freeway...
Love💕 this tune!!🎶👍
