What if this will have a complete opposite effect, where he'd be relieved that I have found someone else who's a better fit for me and can give me things that I "need" that he thinks he can't give me?
Love your videos. I recently (3 months ago) met a guy who over the past month or so has been showing signs of being interested in me romantically. He's taken me out for dinner twice, picking up the tab each time, showing an interest in me as a person, holding eye contact, connecting with each other in conversation, standing at close proximity to each other, hugging each other when saying goodbye, etc. On our last dinner date he told me that I was 'irreplaceable' and he often tells me how happy he is that I am in his life. Yet, he's never directly asked me to be his girlfriend nor has he made a romantic move. Yesterday, we met again briefly and it was clear that he was very stressed with some work issues. I lent a listening ear and offered some advice. At the end of our conversation he said, 'I really appreciate our friendship!'. I'm beginning to think that I've mis-read all the signs and that I am safely in the friend zone. While men are mostly straightforward with words, could he have said 'friendship' just because he was too cowardly to say 'relationship'? I really really like this guy. What can I do (apart from reading the subtle signs) to understand if he really just sees me as a friend?
EDIT - He was at my house with his nephew to help me with things around the house. I had bday cards from 2 real women friends on my table. I bought a lovey dovey card addressed as Sweets and signed Love Dave. He went in that room and gone for a few minutes. Later after the p.m. text he sent another text kind of trying to prove himself. I didnt reply. There is no Dave but I just want him to think I have other options. Hes going to have to figure it out to see me soon or its bye bye.
We did this & then my last sweet heart that I wish I could marry showed up & boy was hurled into the friend zone! I even thanked him for being a good listener & great friend & keeping my mind off of someone who may be an empty dream. The friend suggested I get "closure" & I only moved on for about a day. I can't date or sleep with other people & I can't operate like I'm single because I don't have fun going out & not hooking up with someone....but surprisingly I can't do that anymore. I don't have it in me. I vent to my guy friend about this but I think he worries I am trying to sleep with him now.

People need to stop playing games. You don't want to hack your friend into wanting you, it might work for a while but you'll be forced to constantly play tricks forever. Do you want that?? Do you want to become manipulative?? They'll realize what a scumbag you are and it's game over for your relationship, your friendship, and your dignity is in the sewers. People really need to stop listening to guys like this. Grow some balls and own it if she or he wants to keep being friends. JFC
