Thanks for trying. I grew up on E. Jackson in one of the homes you drove by. We lived on the shore of the St. Joe River. (Not a lake) The river flows all the way to Lake Michigan. If you're looking for pricy homes, you're on the wrong side of the river. Greenleaf Blvd. on the North side is where the mansions are.
I was born and raised in Elkhart in 1957. Our first house was on C.R. 1 and my grand parents owned all the property which is now Lantern Lane. We moved when i was little to Santacruz Drive when i was 4 and my baby brother was born. I lived in Bowser Trailer park Then it became Masons Trailer Park which is now Tom Naquin Chevy at three points. From there we moved into a house at 1712 Morton Ave. in 1973 and from there i went on to enlist in the Army National Guard. So much has changed over the years. Where the new rail road Trussell is now on south main and Indiana Ave. there used to be a gas station and my Aunt and Uncle had the old grey house next to the station. And the only lake we had was the river or lake Michigan. I remember living at 161 N. Sixth street on the corner and when it rained hard we would have a small lake in the street.
To my knowledge their is no lake on Jackson. That's the St Joe River that runs beside Jackson. At the corner of Jackson and Goshen Ave is the Elkhart River. That runs down the opposite side of Jackson to downtown.
Please do more research on where u are filming before u film.. you are calling st Joseph river a lake.. the nearest lake to that area is Simonton lake at the north side of Elkhart which is almost the state line
There's a real upscale subdivision over near Lexington Square apartments. Right beside the OBGYN office formerly known as River Oaks. I can't think of the current name of it. I find it ironic that it's so close to Lexington Square which is pretty low income.

Lake hell. You're on east Jackson street heading into town and that's the St.Joe river . The expensive homes are outside of town .
Looks like you off Jackson street on the north / east side off the river or your on green leaf $$$$$$$

@@erichimes3062 Exactly! Thanks
That’s not a lake, it is a river.
