Your place is looking AMAZING!!
Thank you Scott.
Love the house View from the road.
Thanks JC.
Gives me hope.
Thanks good to hear.
No need to ASK! You are a very carefull guy!
True, but like to hear what viewers think. I do have my opinion though.
Wow what a change. Beautiful enjoy you deserve it.
Things are getting done quickly. All coming together. Thanks Patrick.
Your place look's so marvelous and the swimming pool look's magnifecent i'll say yes Wilma and Greg are successful congratulation
Thanks Anhar. Things are getting complete quickly now. Steady progress.
With your lead in photos, I don’t know if I have ever seen the real finished product look better than the artist drawings but your guys home does. What a great accomplishment.
Wilma and I said the same thing. We like to actual look as compared to the 2d design. Thanks for watching.
i like they way they call blackouts brownouts like its just a drop in voltage ...its not, its a total blackout. Brownouts happen almost consistently 24/7.
Yes, that's what they call it here. I usually just say power failure. Thanks for watching.
If you take generator or not off wheels add a rubber pad to nix any Vibration.
also add exaust extenting for genarator for smell of fumes.
Thanks JC for the suggestion.
Hi Wilma and Greg ☺️ I have been a subscriber of yours and have attempted to leave one comment before, but was unsuccessful 🙁. Today, I asked my “what am I doing wrong 🤔 ? 🙄 … he explained 😮🤗 … so here I am 🤗 … I really enjoy your show (I speak for my husband and myself). You guys have done a wonderful job, with a good crew assisting you. All the Best Wishes to You Both in Your New Home 🏡 God Bless You Both. Sandra.
Thank you Sandra for the nice comment and subscribing/watching our videos. Everyone has worked hard to make this build a successful one. Now on to the garden.
Beautiful house ! Excited to see the landscaping ❤
Yes, we are going to get started soon on the garden area.
Better get those solar panels and battery backup
Might need them sooner then later.
@@buildingthephilippines Yea, but when you do get the panels and batteries then the brown outs will stop
But over the long term they will pay for themselves
That would be my luck.
Look forward to the house warming party video soon. Awesome View. Awesome pool and house. Great job
Thanks Mike, we need to start planning for that.
A beautiful home, and yard is being shaped everyday. Glad you have found your sweet spot to sit and relax outside. The lights on the outside columns look great, and there is a lot to do, but not much more to be on your own. Like I say, you guys have the million dollar view, just looking out the front of your home, and that generator will get installed, and no more brownouts. Enjoy guys. I am curious about the garden ideas😊
We really like sitting outside and enjoying the view. We can watch the ships sail by. Once I set up the generator, no more brown outs. Murphys law. Happy Saint Patty's day.
Happy St. Patty’s Day Guys. Enjoy ☺️
Our son is marching in the NYC St Patty's parade today representing the New York State Police. We are watching the parade as I type.
spring /summertime would have more brownouts i imagine as weather is nicer and hotter ,more aircon running, crappy grid power will drop more . im speculating of course ..solar and batteries will fix that if you are a peso millionario
Probably right about the hotter season and power drop.
Beautiful home Greg and Wilma... What's the size of the lot by the way? Thanks!
Our lot is 1100 sqm. Appreciate you watching our videos.
Summertime more people using Aircon
Yes could be. Once I get the generator going and set up we will no longer have any power failures. Power and wifi came on at 1pm.
Really like the design similar to what we have in mind if we ever build. Modern clean lines but we will just go with smooth concrete finish no paint. Jealous of that fantastic views, any more lots available with that same view?
Facebook messenger Alma Almonte Fulco. She can assist with finding land.
Looking Good, Greg! I hope Wins still has big smiles too! Be well, be safe, God Bless! 🙏☕😎
Typo! Not wins, Wilma!
Thanks Steve, good progress everyday so nothing but good news for now. I hope it last. Wilma is still smiling.
Since you bought your lot, and started your house 7 months ago, how much has your home increased in value. Is it possible that housing starts will surpass the rate of inflation in the Philippines this year. Has the labor costs, and construction wages increased? I would have to think rents will increase soon..
Conservatively 30% increased in value, probably more. Rent has already increased in the area. What was 15k is 20 to 30k now. Wages has not increased, steel and cement up 20% over a year ago.
@@buildingthephilippines that rate of inflation has to be extremely hard on the locals without wages going up. Probably going to be lots of property and land speculation in the next couple of years to make matters even worse.
I agree.
Did you install a transformer nearby your place?
Yes, 25kva right in front of our house.
Hopefully you will put an assortment of palm trees. you have to have that in the tropics! lol Nice job. I feel worn out just watching all the work the last 6 months. You and about 10 others on RUclips really have become a part of my life. I truly feel as if I have lived there the last 5 years.
I did the same thing Darren when I was back in the US. Had several channels I watched all the time. Thanks for watching our videos.
Your home is beautiful !! I so enjoy watching the updates. I am amazed at the workmanship of the individuals doing the home, fence and yardwork -- so talented. As the rotating cement truck roles by on Route 9, I always think of the men at your home using the small little mixer. I believe having Janil (sp) as a neighbor is a definite plus.
Lots of manuel work Gloria. Skilled labor here means you can basically build an entire house. Thanks for watching. Jernel has been a great help to our build.
The downside of having the metal bars horizontal than vertical in your front fence is it can be scaled easily by someone who would want to get over your fence from the street. But you have a security system and that may not matter a lot.
Good point, if we feel we need to we can always weld those vertical spikes I see people use here.
No solar panels ? Are solar panels allowed ? Would that help with a power outage ? Just curious , how is the internet speed ? Possibly thinking of relocating there ? Germany is nice ,but I like to get back to the tropical weather .
Solar too expensive here. 10 year ROI. Will wait for prices to come down. Generator works well for power failures. Internet speed is around 70 mbps.
@@buildingthephilippines oh got it .
Hi Greg New subscriber here Watching with interest from Australia Absolutely love your place and would like to steal your house plan and replicate it in Bohol You have probably posted a vlog with your budget that obviously I have missed Could you give me a ball park figure please
Thanks John for subscribing. Bohol is a nice area. We visited there last year. We will be doing a cost video at the end of the build.
OK thanks mate Will be watching with interest Not long to go Congratulations
Definitely getting close. Finalizing the last few big items.
You new it would happen, once your gen is hooked up the brounouts will stop, lol
Murphys law for sure. Thanks for watching.
@@buildingthephilippines you know it's St Patrick's Day today, cheers
Belly up. Enjoy Saint Patty Day. Our son is Marching in the NYC parade today representing the NYS troopers. Very proud.
nice of you to build a ladder for people to climb over your front wall 🤣🤣 just joking with you
I guess any wall can be breached. It's really to keep the dogs out.
