Mold and algae issue? I use this mix if possible. If you’re cleaning a driveway like you are. Wet the ground on both side before and after. To dilute solution that runs onto soil with plants. Start by dissolving TSP in warm water to create a slightly cloudy, odorless solution. A good general ratio is 1/2 cup of TSP to 2 gallons of water. You can use a slightly stronger batch to combat mold and mildew-mix 1 cup of TSP with 3 quarts of warm water and 1 quart of chlorine bleach. This solution can be funneled into a spray bottle or applied with a stiff scrub brush or sponge. Work in sections, applying the solution in liberally and using some elbow grease. Allow the solution to sit on the surface for 10-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any TSP residue. Repeat the process as needed for stubborn stains or thick grime. How To Use TSP Safely Always read and follow any manufacturer instructions, heed all safety warnings, and don personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and using TSP. Work in a well-ventilated area and use the least amount of TSP that will be effective for your purposes. Never mix TSP with other cleaners or chemicals, except as directed above for mold and mildew removal.

I am glad you videos are here for everyone. But myself personally. Because we will be neighbors of sorts. The latest property we purchased is in Dauin near Tugawe Elementary School area. So you’re sharing so many things that will directly affect our steps in our build project. We have watch several of your videos. Now I will go back and watch everything and start a build folder with build tips and installer connections like your solar installer. Which is the first name on my list. If we are lucky enough to see you around town when we come for our month long stay in Apr. I would be thrilled to shake your hand and thank you in person. Keep up the great work.

I went back to re-watch this video. I missed your system cost when I watched the first time. My Apache Junction system was around $11K (in 2015) and high-$7K out-of-pocket after the tax credit. It's 4-kW, 16-panel hybrid with no battery. I do have net metering. My basic monthly charge is $33 so I always see a monthly bill. But my bills for May - June - July this year were $3 - $6 - $5 so I sold a good amount back to SRP. I leave 2 overhead LED Porch Lights on 24/7, 2 dusk-to-dawn LED Carriage Lights framing the garage, a few inside LED lamps on timers for about 8-hours/nite, and the fridge/freezer in the kitchen on all the time while I'm in WA for Summer & Fall. I'm as pleased as I can be with my Solar System. I've had no problems with it in 9-years, and have never had to reboot/restart it after a grid outage. Lilia and I will definitely go with Solar when we build there; the frequent Dumaguete area outages make it and a Generator a necessity as you've found.

Thank you

    • @buildingthephilippines

Only filipino citizens can buy land. If your wife is now a US citizen, she needs to become a dual citizen. Gaining back her citizenship will allow her to purchase land. Your name can appear on the deed of sale and title as married to. That way, you're covered if she passes before you. You can never own the land yourself.

The driveway up into the carport seems rather steep. You mentioned a wheelchair. The steep angle of the driveway and a wheelchair sounds like a dangerous combination. Also, landslides are a major issue in the Phils. You guys have no issue where your house is, but your neighbours might find themselves in trouble one day.

    • @buildingthephilippines

@ZokStar1 wheelchair is for possibly future use. Wouldn't be used in driveway, just carport to house and back. Landslide very slim chance in this area.

Unfortunately, the main person has to be present when you’re building anything in the Philippines. We’re still living in the U.S. so when my girlfriend was having a commercial building being built she put her uncle in charge of it (he lives there). When he wasn’t at the site, he hired someone to watch and make sure that everyone was working while he was away. Besides having trouble from local politicians on getting supplies like sand for concrete (apparently there’s somewhat of a monopoly) everything went ok.
