I start my first shift at Amazon later today, 6pm-4:30am Sunday - Wed. This video made it a little less stressful. Thank you!
Update: 4 days in, I’m in Inbound Stow, I like it! Easy job, however my feet hurt so bad! 🤣. My FC is a new launch so they needed to train some of us to be Learning Ambassadors which are new hire trainers and I was one of the lucky few selected! I learned very quick and stowing is very easy!
Please do more videos like this teach us about anything you know because you seem to naturally be great infront of the camera you're so entertaining and always have something to say with no awkward pauses!

Thank you for your video! I love your practical attiude toward working in Amazon. Most people are very negative and I don't understand why. I have my pre hire on Monday to take my photo and drug test and all that. The only thing is i do have four consequtive days to work as my schedule but it is what it is and I'll get through it. I hope you continut to make more Amazon videos! Thanks for keeping it real without making it scary. 😛

I work there and they have plenty of tolerance for tardiness and another thing if you clock out late you do not get paid for it.

@@Tegui4 no. endure it think of the money. dont think of the pain. think of that goal you want to do with that money. if with family put some money aside after paying for necessities, its not amazon anymore just think of it like their the bank and your the robber and you do all that labor because your really running away from them after you took their money....its like taking candy from a b....get it...after 1 week the pain is gone.

Hello, I'm new as a stower 3rd days. There was a screen message saying, things I stow is not in order, would it be sweep??? Never mention about must be in order during training and was not listed in that 3 S procedure. Any idea how it go by in order, any idea by that (in order)?
FYI it depends on the site. There are sites where no one will come up to you to see what is the problem or why are you at a low rate. They’ll just write you up no questions asked and good luck getting it removed. Write ups block you from being able to do anything other than the task you were writing up for because apparently to Amazon they must lock you in the task you’re not good at in order to make you better at it or something 🤷
I never clock out early again.Because they take a hour from you if you leave early without a smartphone. Also they watch you thru the scanners be careful.

@@samantha77710 I'm brand new as well (2 days so far) and I totally agree, they need to seriously increase the amount of spots to put larger items in the pods/robots. It makes my numbers look terrible and I even got approached by a leader for being slow because of it. lol
Same!!! I am just finishing up on week 2 I felt like crawling, my feet were on fire and calves were throbbing! And I thought I was in shape went to the gym before starting 😂😂 so hard! Long hours on feet

Hi I'm trying to figure out how they calculate your stow rate. I work at a wheel barrel factory so it's not as automated as the bigger facilities. I'm new The leader says he will give new hires 3 weeks to get their rate up to 200% The going rate on the chalk board is currently 250% This is my first week I work 1:20 am to 9: A.M I stowed for about two of my four day work week. I just checked my rate today in the A/M and I am at 189% for 500 scans? I'm guessing this is for the day and not the week lol
probrally the number one advice at working at Amazon is.. dont steal anything. there are cameras everywhere in there.
They also write you up without telling you,found out I had two write ups and i was like when did I get the first one

At any time you have the right 'BY LAW' to see what's in your personal records, and the managers have to show it to you or report it in writing to HR. Being you got ambush once already I would check it once a month.

Question: I just started working as shower: they say you have to hit 2400 rate per day, 250 per hour. How strict are they about hitting rate or is it just scare tactic to make people hustle harder? Bc honestly like you said everyday is different and some days you just get big boxes, which is stressful and unrealistic to hit your rate.

Btw I work part time only 2 days Saturday and Sunday and they pay $19.25 I love it so far but just have concerns about hitting the rate

@@samantha77710 Get shoe inserts from Walmart for 10 bucks it helps a ton for your feet. Since you just started working they don't expect you to go fast so don't push yourself hard. Adjust and demonstrate you have the willingness to work and improve. Don't be shy to ask for help and ask them what they expect with stowing.
@@2kdim At my place the managers care if you have a strong start/mid way instead of a strong finish. Ask your managers about what they expect.
They reprimanded u for being new and not knowing the layout (after lunch u said)???! It’s people like this that keeps amazon in business. Know your worth, that’s cliche asf but true as hell.

Stowing can be easy and can fucking suck. 1. Suck if you get 1 small item tote out of 15 totes
2. Suck if pod comes in way full 90% all day and you can't do anything about it.
3. Very boring work
4. Time goes slow
Not even complaining about it being too physically demanding. My advice is just keep stowing and don't care. Do your best you can and if you get fired you get fired atleast you tried. Most likely if you try you will make it. But being too stressed out about not getting small item to stow and full pods are what gets to people and they just give up and stow slow for the rest of the day. Then they quit.
They promised a sighn on bonus of $3000 then pushed the date at which they would pay it to us back by a few months then pushed it back again. They fired nearly all of us before paying it out. Shit job for a slimy company that lies to its employees. If you end up working here you should try to get as much out of them as you can because they will do the same to you.
Is a Diploma required or can 18 year old seniors apply?
And what should I check? I heard saying "No Diploma" = automatic thrown out application
Im leaning on saying I got a diploma, cause im told no one verifies diplomas, And again its a warehouse job....

Dude, whet happen if you're on a FLEX schedule and you work 4 hour straight without taking breaks, would they bitch about that? is the break mandatory? honestly I don't see why anyone would take a break after just 4 hours of work. I am in wleding school. 2022 will be my first year as a certified welder. weldikng jobs start at 18-21/hr. START AT... think about that.
