Starts and drives like a dream , I always loved the yellow, but a convertible in the northeast brings up more limitations. And that is a more spirited drive than the last one. She sounds great!

Lights out of the video it's amazing what one wire can do to the entire driving experience... Fix this fixed the car is solid maybe I can talk to the owner to do dual carbs and an exhaust because the engine is healthy and feels like it has more to give

That Ghia has come along way, sounds and runs great, it will be a good weekend car or it will need that rear main, great job troubleshooting that idle cutoff, thanks for taking us along.

This video is posted after rear main clutch was done so that is done and it can be a daily driver not just a weekend.. car is definitely leaving 100% correct

Much appreciated as always... Just didn't feel right ending the last video off with a poor test drive as well as only saying the car would be leaving right... Also wanted to show the solenoid was the issue on the whole driveability issue and I just wasn't making something up

There sure are a lot of railroad tracks on your drive...a real shakedown. Oh yea...you certainly must not worry about leaving the shop open while you are gone. Just curious what your thoughts are on AVGAS? I hope the owner appreciates all the tlc you gave his car. Good follow up. Till next time, thanks

Avgas lolead is perfectly fine it's 100 octane typically if you want to spend the money.. Also a VW engine is about 7to 1 compression ratio so it will run on anything and is designed to run on 87 octane or worse... The 93 Ron that everyone goes on about saying it's for high test is it different scale of rating outside of the US and does not correlate to 91 octane in the US 93 Ron is 87... Lowlead avgas Will lessen the wear on the top end and will cushion the valves compared to the ethanol that we have here in the States but honestly it's a dealer's choice and does not in my opinion affect power of the engine to what you can feel or longevity... You can basically get the same effect with 91 octane and a lead additive for cheaper

@@airkooledmotorwerksI use the avgas in mowers and such too. I live near the local airport and have to put it in gas cans - can't just fill it in a vehicle. I like it for the reasons you mentioned. I usually put 91 in half and then top it off at home from the cans. Also seems to pep up the engine, but that might be my imagination.
