The bit that came off in one piece is going to sit up on a wall somewhere in the shop, I've still got chunks from my original Mx5 widebody lying around somewhere. Very tempted to put all the pieces from that smashed one into a box as a jigsaw puzzle for someone haha
Love seeing a new video drop. As I mentioned before, I've been there/done that with FRP buck and mold making. Really enjoyable to watch you work and can't wait to see the final result (as I am SURE you are, too).
I know I'm definitely super excited to start seeing what other people do with these kits once they go up for sale. I'll have to put a video up one day showcasing everyone else's builds!
Hahah, always one of my favorite bits. The part I like the most is now I can finally stop getting those "That's too much body filler, it's gonna crack in 3 weeks" comments lol 😂
Well done, quite scary when you removed the foams, I will start on GFK wings, I hope I can save them. Great video, thanks for sharing, your work has inspired me for my project !
Good stuff now I see how u were talking about a 2 part rear mold n last video. Now I understand more how u meant and how to do it. Can't wait for next episode
It's a sign that I'm slowly learning haha. In my early days I definitely would have tried a single piece mould. It's doable, but I know now that trying to get the finished parts out of those shapes really sucks haha
Legendary. Literally showing how it's done. When you hung the parts-car rear door, the Stagea gave me ProBox vibes. Meh, I'm weird. Dude, sweet-arse-vid
Seeing the prep work smashed al up, whas like damn that hurt my feelings a little bit and it aint even mine. 😅. But damn i love watching your craftsmanship everytime, cant get enough of it. This is Pure enjoyment every single Time.
Удивительное терпение. Плюс, недоумеваю с того, что почти всё время идут дожди- значит влажность, а открытый металл обрезанной задней арки, который три недели был под слепком формы расширителя, не имеет даже и намёка на ржавчину.
Wow man, blows my mind... youre attention to detail is immaculate .. i only wonder why you sand all your domed parts whith an obrbital sander or a hand block.. most domed spots/parts will come out mutch better by hand.. love your work, just my 2 cents
Just a thought - If i'm not mistaken the nitrocellulose thinner coresilin can dissolves foam so it can save you some foam scratching. BUT it can damage paint, lacker etc.
@@TofuAutoWorks im sure about acetone dissolving styrofoam but try some piece with the foam that you use cuz I dont know what it is. Also forgot to mention that acetone damages primer but that you probably already know.
Cheers! Oh mate, I've already started printing off the other side (gonna take a couple weeks to print off the whole thing) and seeing it all as a computer model is so sick!
I had my volume turned down to 0 because I was playing a mobile game . I started to turn it up for this video , then I remembered there's nothing to hear anyways 😂
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what about the other side. Don’t tell me he has to start from scratch again. Or is there some fancy 3D scanning that happens for the opposite side trims?
Correct. In Ep 19 I went over the scanning, and started 3D printing. Once the other side has been printed I'll fit it to the car and make the matching moulds for that side.
Nice to see a master at work. Loving the polished molds!!!
Thanks mate!
I mean I knew it was coming but it still hurt to watch all that work chipped away

Seeing those finished and polished molds must have been so satisfying after all those months of work. They were sure satisfying to see in this video!!
Another great Sunday morning ☕😎
Sunday evening in N.Z. 😎
Bro is making 10x better job than Liberty Walk 💪🏼🔥
its so satisfying seeing how nice those molds came out and finally getting all that body filler off the stagea. Awesome vid!

Your work is very thorough! Be careful of the glass thorns. From Japan.
One of my favourite sanding channels
When you smash the parts im feel heart breaking and tears , because that is 3 months art of handcraft perfect work 😅😢❤
It's so special to see the remove of the hard work on this kit, nice job as always!
Not sure what I'm more excited for. To see the finished project on those wideboi Kiwami's, or to buy a kit for my own NM35.
🔥 Aotearoa Hard! 🤘😎

Massive binge watching session today. Unreal progress. Can't wait to see more videos
New sub here. Always loved these cars. This is a pleasure to watch. No waffle or BS, just straight to the point.
My favorite part of the process🎉

Best meals when I'm watching your art

Ahhhh, I was wondering what approach you were gonna take to the door shut area! Multi part mould makes a lot of sense.
It's a sign that I'm slowly learning haha. In my early days I definitely would have tried a single piece mould. It's doable, but I know now that trying to get the finished parts out of those shapes really sucks haha

polishing the mould!! great idea
That first mold coming out nicely was so good!
Good idea on just reusing the donor car's spares instead of the tedium of fixing up the dented door lol
This build series ❤️ always a treat

ever consider using compressed air to release moulds? i've seen some guys do that
embrace the itch!
Will you redesign the taillights too? These are iconic.

The mould looks really good. What color did you have in mind for the car?
Thanks mate, still deciding on a colour but I've narrowed it down to 3 choices now. Will wait until the final unveil to show it though.
Super travail, ptite question, tu va faire comment pour avoir la même chose de l’autre côté ?

Im somewhat new to this channel and i thooght those fender flares were permanent lol

Are you going, in the end, to offer the kit for purchase?
Yes, the whole conversion kit minus the bumper, bonnet, and headlights, will all be for sale.

I don't know much about this, why did he break it?
you still have to do all plug work for opposite side of the vehcile?
Correct. In Ep 19 I went over the scanning, and started 3D printing. Once the other side has been printed I'll fit it to the car and make the matching moulds for that side.
How do you make both sides of the widebody parts have the same size?
