Maria Katrina Well, all the fat she was once carrying was really pushing against her respiratory organs, hence why her voice was the way it was. Now that her organs are freed up, her voice isn't as husky.
She looks really good! The poster girl for perseverance and determination. :)

In my opinion, even if Nikki never loses another pound, she has succeeded. Nikki is one of the few that really has succeeded so far. A lot of people on this show don't lose as much weight as she has. Three of the people on last season's show didn't even lose enough weight to get the surgery. I watch to see people help themselves; I'm very disappointed when they don't do it.

Okay so a lot of people on these kind of shows really aggravate me because they are so selfish and just don't want to put in the effort required to lose and maintain a healthy weight (though all of them say they do!)
Nikki is not one of those people, and I am so happy for her that she has worked so hard and is doing so well! She is really taking advantage of her second chance at life and I wish nothing but the best for her!
This is a success story that shows no matter how hopeless you feel in your situation things CAN get better.

I really believe some of them have “eaten themselves into a disability” to collect a check & also get assistance with housework & someone to cook for them, they feel like “queens & kings” & they’re not gonna give that up. They don’t want to lose the weight (& the check & assistance) & they’re probably paid to be on that show. I definitely am not a hater or insensitive but some, not all, are happy to be where they are & that’s the reality.

Congrats!!! I was over 600 pounds in February 2018! I didn't make the decision to change until my fiance said she said she was very concerned because I was breathing heavy in my sleep. It's the middle of June now and this morning I weighed 483 so I've lost over 100 pounds no surgery. I started documenting my progress on RUclips to show you can do it if you make it a purpose!

And yes, I can confidently say regardless of circumstances some people are genuinely rotten people. Reality tv isn't as real as most people think. Cameras have to be set up and they will guide her to do/say things. Sometimes they'll have a script set up and they need to get footage. They won't use it all but they still need to gather them.

God she's so bubbly it's infectious. Her parents were such a strong support for her and it shows. You can tell how much they love her. At 4:30 you can see her dad's face filling with emotion. It's the look of a dad so proud.

Nikki's episode is the only 600lb life episode where I was not frustrated or annoyed at the person. Doctor Now didn't have to yell or become ghetto Dr. Dre. She seems like a genuine person who has a positive outlook on life. Also I couldn't stop saying Awwww...of how adorably cute her family is especially her brother. Nikki is truly blessed to have a loving and supportive family.

Out of all the years of My 600 Pound Life, Nikki was my ALL-TIME FAVORITE!!! So glad she is doing so well!! I am a nurse and really turned to doctors, and it seemed she was one of Dr. Now's favorites, too. He actually smiled with her after her biggest loss! I think she was really good for Dr. Now, because it must get very discouraging dealing with so many people that are the complete opposite of Nikki, who was so upbeat and positive that she was TRULY inspiring!
