imagine being a nurse/regular patient and seeing him get smaller and smaller with each visit
That'd be so wholesome, it's like you're accompanying them on their challenges and you're with them through their journey :)
Amazing
@Jordan Leston People like him inspire others, and that's always good.
Caregiver/nursing major here! Whenever I work with clients and try to get them more mobile again, I always get so excited to see them get stronger or more independent. Happiness doesn’t begin to explain the feeling you get when a patient is improving their quality of life.
It would be like a mother watching there child growing up
When the dad said "ok, let's go lose some more weight" after hearing Justin already lost 292 pounds was so uplifting and refreshing to hear. Usually the person accompanying enables and would celebrate by cheating or fast food, but his dad encourages him to keep going and that the journey is not yet over. So refreshing from the other episodes; mad respect.
I feel something people forget about watching this show is how much support from a friend or family member(s) helps the person. I like watching this because it makes me happy to see someone succeed in life.

A positive influence can make a night and day difference.
Yeah, it seems like both his parents are very supportive of him. His mom going to the appointments with him too and that she is going to move to TX with him. It is so nice to see supportive people in his life instead of the enablers and negative people that try to tear down progress.
See I would’ve taken him out for frozen yogurt. I’m terrible 🤣
Notice the difference between Justin and all the others on 600 lb Life? Hard work, dedication, discipline, no excuses, and actually works for a living. Great job. I wish him the best.
It's not fair to view everyone through the same lens. A lot of people on the show deal with mental illness!
You mean it wasn’t someone else’s fault??? No way!😮
Me too.
Well, there was that guy that was malnourished
these are the people i look up to. i have been skinny my whole life wishing i was heavier but when i see this guy i have mad respect for him and his hard work
This is my neighbor and he has killed it. He has kept the weight off and I'm sure I speak for all of us in the neighborhood when I say we are soooooo proud of him. Way to go Justin!!!
That's awesome!
Great to know that!
Thank you for adding that info
A great update, he's done incredible, this episode had me in tears
Thank you for keeping us informed. It has been several years and he has progressed. We are proud of you, Justin. You just added years to your life, you are worth it!!!
How he is now? How's the skin? I hope he can afford to get skin removal op.
I think he is the only guy who doesn’t swear and get aggressive... he’s actually calm and collected

Maggie Wu There’s definitely a lot more like him from the show. Who aren’t mad and just genuinely want to get better and try to get better.
Maggie Wu yea, most of the people I see are yelling at their parents for fried chicken and a milkshake.
Gram_Zay Exactly! And I just saw a episode last week and the woman said she’s gonna have a cheat meal (and you know beginners still are in there habits so she ate ALOT) barely 2 weeks in!
Dumb comment
This guy acts like an actual adult and not like a grown up child like 90% of the other people on this show. And his voice is so softening and nice!
The Verdict you’re welcome to all, i’m the 600th like
The Verdict he’s probably one of my favorite people to be on the show. He seems like a gentle soul, and it makes me very happy.
Ms Maybe your right. This guy is so great because he seemed to be the most determined out of everybody which is also what makes him so great.
It's damn near impossible to grow up mentally if you never leave the house except to buy food. Someone in that situation has no contact with other human beings besides close family. Your mind cannot comprehend other people and that pretty much leaves them in a state of mental underdevelopment.
Agreed
This dude killed it. I'm sitting here whining about the 30 lbs I need to lose, and this man has altered his life for the positive by losing hundreds of lbs. Proud of this guy for setting an example of what it takes to get your life back!
Hey, you can do it! I cheer on you dude. I might go for a run later, not because I want to (I hate running) but because I need to for my health.
YOU GOT THIS!!!
Yea remember, the heavier you are the quicker you lose weight, that may be why it’s a slower process for you
It’s easier for heavier folk… I need to lose 20 and I can barely even lose a pound a week.. feels like it’s taking forever
@@Giovanni_intheflesh That’s true, but Justin’s hundreds of pounds of loss in a year is a high bar, i wouldn’t consider yourself a failure for not losing a similar % of your weight because he’s doing it to save his life, he can’t afford to fail
This is the thing. Nobody at the gym is going to judge someone like this. We are all honored to witness a transformation like this. That’s the whole point!
In my experience, the "real" gym regulars never look down on anyone because of the current stage of their journey, but encourage you to move forward and share pride in your achievements.
It's usually the people that don't understand the struggle, that make sly comments, and honestly... nobody cares what they say!
@@AggroJordan86 Gym rats are the most wholesome creatures inhabiting this planet. You will nowhere else find a group of people with their level of understanding for hardship in life. Go up to any gym bro and ask politely for a finger, and they will give you their whole arm.

300 pounds in a YEAR... this man is amazing and deseveres so much praise.
That is some serious willpower and determination.
So happy for this guy
So happy for him
He is a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will
He's done so well. Amazing.
This guy is the complete polar opposite of most people on this show. He's polite to the Dr (yes sir), he doesn't feel sorry for himself to the point of not working hard and most importantly, gets over the hurdle of feeling uncomfortable at the gym in public. Very happy for him and I know he's going to be a success story.
"Not quite 100, but that's close enough" see, that's the thing about Dr Now. Even though he didn't hit the mark, he can see the dedication and change and knows that the surgery is going to work because Justin has committed to the entire process.
Totally. He wants to see measurable progress but he also wants to see the right attitude and commitment to the hard work, and Justin clearly had that. Even if 100 pounds or more were a strict requirement to approve for the surgery, Dr. Now would have given him a couple of more weeks to hit that mark.
If you make fun of someone who is trying to better themselves, maybe you should look back at your own life.
Those kind of people are incapable of self-reflection.
I can tell you when we see people who are trying to better themselves at my gym, people always pitch in to either help or give advice. I hope their aren't people actually out there disrespecting others in a damn gym...
@@eternalblessing4984 There are, because there's rotten people everywhere.

I like the fact that even though he didn’t initially reach his goal of 100lbs weight loss he was still proud of himself. I think people forget to praise themselves for losing the weight, plus he was only a few pounds off
and he worked out a lot, my bet is that he lost the 100lbs of fat but gained a few lbs in muscle mass
Jan-Willem Lammers can’t gain muscle mass that easy

Finally, they found a serious guy who's about that life, respect.
Yes it is refreshing! But what we as viewers should realize is that humans are creatures of habits, and the habit becoming so strong that it pushes you to over 600 pounds is extraordinarily hard to break. So imo its rare to find someone who can actually change their habit, which is probably why we dont see so many people going gungho on the diet and exercise
What do you mean “about that life”?
Absolutely! I'm happy for him
@@morganvonbogel9145 Probably as in somebody who is actually dedicated to making lifestyle changes unlike most other contestants on this show.

And then he said, "Let's lose more weight."
As a fellow gymrat if I saw you at my gym I'd smile and maybe cry cause in the gym community nothing is more amazing than seeing someone deciding to better their health. Whether it's mental or physical.

I really wish people wouldn't feel that way. If he came into my gym he'd probably have half the guys there offering to train with him.
@@jjm152 While I'm sure that would be the case (I would certainly do the same if I saw him at the gym!), to the overweight person they likely just feel so different from 99% of the people there. Looking that different and having others' eyes on you, even without bad intentions, probably does a number on your mental perception of the gym/outside world. Unfortunately it's a feeling that might only be dispelled by getting over it and going to the gym like Justin did.

They tell overweight people they need to workout and go to the gym, but when that person actually does go to the gym they get stared at and people will act like the person who is trying to lose weight-doesn't belong there. Ellie x true. Very true.
@@elliex4136 good point
yeah the surgery is mostly to undo what the body naturaly accounts for when someone is so overweight.
The surgery is more to prevent them from regaining and a lot of times the stomach is permanently stretched too big from years of overeating and no matter how little you eat your stomach will never be able to shrink down to a normal persons size after chronic overeating like that. This surgery gives the stomach a chance to reset in size and also paves the way to potentially get insurance to cover skin removal when needed.
Long term he may have been okay considering how supportive of a system he had but he had would have had to eat a lot more filler foods (tons of vegetables) just to satisfy him and make him be able to feel somewhat full like a personal with a normal sized stomach. He would be at a way higher chance of relapsing just do to his sheer stomach size.
This guy is a real motivational man. I appreciate the hard you put in. Nothing but respect.
One of the very few that actually listened to Dr Now’s diet and exercise plan! If you want to loose weight just stop the bs, buckle down, and do the work like he did!!!!!!
I heard someone say a few years ago to me “you’re not fat, you HAVE fat” and that stuck with me. It is a current state of being that can be changed like any thing else! Don’t give up!
I love that so much. So comforting and encouraging. Thank you so much 🥰🥰
@@emma-vn3nl 💕💕 so glad I could share with you
Love this!
@@ashley-0-negative 💕💕💕🥰
Thats some shit a lardo would say to cope with their failure. That "quote" is on the same level as fat people calling their stretchmarks tiger stripes. I hate them so much. But this guys cool
Another update in the comments: This guy went rock climbing 2 days ago and is at a healthy weight. Super inspiring! Proud of this dude.
He makes me wanna be better
Please... keep the updates coming if you can!
@@Mimi-cq4bg He lost alot more weight and ended up getting excess skin removal. Now he is working to become a pilot.
@@sharaestanley9192 where do you find this?
I’m so proud of this guy. He’s doing such a great job and the amount of effort and intent that it takes to do what’s he’s doing - it’s inspiring.
The ONLY patient that I love! His genuine, humble and sweet! And so passionate. He didn't blame anyone, he did it on his own didn't rely on anyone! God bless him! I've seen this many time and I always go back to it because it puts a smile on my face!!
His dad is the most dad looking dad
lol probably. idk my dad left to get cigarettes at the gas station 17 years ago
@A.C Chissano 8c and my dad too, he went to get some beer at the gas station 15 years ago.
Must of been a long line at the gas station
@@2verysnowyyy I’m still standing in line
It’s like he was told to dress as the character of ‘dad’ x
This guy is the ideal patient. Hes determined and actually cares unlike Dr. Nows other patients.
The last episode shown in America was a waste of time and frustrating to watch. I imagine that was how Dr. Now felt having that woman as a patient.
well listen, you dont get to 300 400 500 600 lbs eating because you're a well adjusted happy person. these people have serious underlying issues & of course, until that is resolved, the eating disorder is just going to still be there. its not like us, who may gain 5 lbs over the holidays & then cut out all carbs & spend an extra 1/2 hr working out a day until we've lost it.
Alexandra nyc right but they’re still responsible for their results and shouldn’t waste the Dr and their own time and resources if they’re not gonna commit. That’s what’s frustrating
@@poopturdy5914 they want to make a change. They're just not ready for what it means. I've done the same. I mean, not that big. But you want something but when your mind is not there. It's lile taking away the Only thing that makes you happy
Mikuo Hatsune agreed 💪🏿 god bless him

After seeing how miserably so many fail, this guy is such a strong individual. So proud!
By far the best person to ever be on this show! So respectful and kind❤️ great job
can we talk about how Dr. Now has a bedazzled stethoscope
Sabrina Scotti HAHHAHH OMFG
Im deeeeeaaaad hahahaha 💀💀💀💀
Because he is the KING
(you can see it at 6:45 )
Respect the drip
I'm just 16 pounds overweight, not even obese, and still to anxious to go to a public gym. This man is my god.
Fr. I'm really scrawny rn and I'm just trying to do some bodyweight excercises and tryna gain healthy weight but I'm afraid of my family seeing me excercising so I just excercise at night then go to sleep after finishing my workouts. This guy is working outside in the daylight not giving a single fuck about anyone. This guy inspired me to be more confident
NoClip34 exactly. That man is a legend. I’m still afraid to work out in front of people and I’m only 134 pounds
I gained a bit of weight, I’m trying to get to 53kg yep this guy is motivation
I need to gain weight lol I lost a lot cause I got a weird sickness
I’m no longer overweight but I can fall back into the overweight category if I don’t get my BMI lower than 24 and I feel nervous going to the gym
What a light and kind gentle man. Determined and loves his moms support and finally a normal guy treating others as he wants to be treated. Revamped life alright! Huge changes build character
This guys courage and strength is heartwarming. I wish him all the best on his journey and it’s awesome to see someone on the show who is truly bought into the positive change.
He’s probably the most likeable person on this show, thats ever been on it
Edit: I hate to be that guy but thx for the likes❤️
I like brandon

I did NOT like Shenee. She was kinda stupid.
I have never watched the show only clips on RUclips. I can honestly say this young man is the only person I have seen that I want to cheer for!
Eros the Space Soldier facts
Because he actually tried !
When he was ordering the food, and he said “grilled nuggets and an ice water” I 🥺🥺🥺 sir, you are a hero amongst men. 🧡
but he ordered 24 of them....
He was also at an extremely high weight and working out. He was still doing it right. His body cannot live off of just his fat - it’s bad for the heart.
@@woleigequ yes but its still a big start for him, something they recommend on big weight loss journeys like this is to slowly move down the amount you eat instead of going cold Turkey. Its easier on the person trying to lose weight so that they dont end up binging again. These things are a process and 24 grilled nuggets and an ice water is a HUGE improvement from what he was probably eating beforehand.
Y’all, he ordered grilled chicken, from a fast food chain. He easily could’ve order fried food and gave into it so easily. He did his best
That really got me cuz I was starting to like him and then he was in a drive thru and I was like "oh no" but then when he ordered I was like :)
Aww i love how thankful this guy is towards everyone helping him!! What a great soul!!
Whenever I'm thinking about taking care of myself, I watch this to motivate myself. Justin is amazing, he doesn't make excuses and just does what he needs to do. His positive energy is lovely.
Finally someone who doesn't continually feels sorry for himself but someone who is actually doing his best
@I like Potatoes acting like Weird Al Yankadick trying to get his dong wet.
Lol.
I like Potatoes aw man i caught you simping! dumb ass simp ass
@I like Potatoes Ouch! That hurts. "J" is thrown in to confuse people
It's nice to see the guy putting in the effort and he's happy to give it his all. I remember seeing one lady. Her family moved across states and changed there lives. As soon as they reached the hotel she rang out for Pizza. That was frustrating to see.
Yes EXACTLY.!WHST A NICE GUY!
I teared up when he smiled at getting down below 400. I don't even know this guy and I'm so proud of him.
Same
this makes me want to cry. he seems so dedicated and positive. im so very proud of him
I am so incredibly proud of him. I shed happy tears! He motivates me to keep doing better
I love how proud and supportive his father looks. He didn’t dramatize it for TV, he was being genuine
Right?! I love how his dad so genuinely told him; “killin’ it”. Good feels.
"Lets go lose some more weight" didn't waste anytime after the Doc walked out. I was really proud to see that dad seriously pushing his son. I believe he's a proud father for his son working for a true Healthy Body.
That probably is why this guy is trying so hard. He has good support.
I love how that nurse needs to do a couple jumping jacks before she flaps her fat gums anymore ;)
I like people like him who doesn’t have to be told twice, none of those excuses because he knows he’s making a lifestyle change 👏🏽👏🏽

The first time I actually saw the nurse smile!! So happy for Justin!
I am 150lbs and this dude lost my entire mass that's fucking insane, mad respect.
Way more than that. He was down almost 300 lbs at the end of this video. He's at a normal weight now.
