Have you done, strangest ways to unlock a character? A couple come to mind... In one of the Tekken games, it has a 'tekken ball' mode that is basically bowling... But if you go way off the alley and knock over Dr. B. You unlock him as a playable character - if I remember correctly lol
Do ten bosses jules could beat if he was magically transported into a game world .... I mean I dont really care either way but I'm sure tired of seeing it in the comments of every vid jules dose 😂
Life currently has me in a weird spot with no clear path to be seen, but I handle it one day at a time. One of the few things that bring me serenity and actual Joy is those videos by Jules. All your efforts are appreciated, friend. First timer with the suggestions, but here it goes: 8 creepiest/scariest areas in video games. Much love to you and the team all the way from Jordan.
Suggestion for a commenters edition: the "Spectacles of Eros" endings in BlazBlue. Each one involves Rachel Alucard shoving a pair of pink, heart shaped shades onto Ragna's face, which cause several of the games female characters to start kicking down doors to confess their love for him (including Minerva, Carl Clovers sister who is, by the way, a freaking puppet). Each iteration gets crazier to the point where the most recent one sees the shades embedding themselves into Ragna's temples and thrusting him into a sort of Bachelor-style dating show hosted by Arakune...
Thanks allot Jules... you brought back my memory of seeing the "My name's not Shane" ending that I long ago purged entirely from my memories... Something I wish I could do to many of my troublesome memories... purge them I mean...
I thought the Billy Ze Kick ending was only for the French version of the game. Without internet at this time to check on I had no clue it was also the end for every countries.
I smoke weed everyday so I decided to make my very expensive habit into something productive so i smoke weed on my RUclips channel to make some money back 😈💨
OK, so I played MDK and MDK2 as a kid, completely forgot about the strange music video at the end and thinking wtf just happened, but what a great trip down memory lane with the ribbon chute and a 4 armed dog.
i don't even need to see the thumbnail for this vid to know that the Tekken franchise should have a stranglehold on this category. and i love them all. 😆
I'd suggest a list of sequels that are wildly different from their predecessors. The X-Com series, which I know Jules likes, had a wild spin-off into a whole new genre called X-Com Interceptor. The Syndicate and Fallout serieseseseses have changed genres completely as they've gone on. As for Pac-Man 2: the New Pac Adventures...well, need I say more?
The clown princess at the end of Castle Crashers is actually a call-back to the website Newgrounds, which is where Castle Crashers debuted as a Flash game and the members of Behemoth (the creators of Castle Crashers) got their start. The clown is called Tricky, and he was a NSFW joke for some of the oldest animations created by the members of the eventual team at Behemoth.
Has there been a video for top 10 games that ended too soon? Like you feel as if the game should have kept going but didn't and just ended abruptly after a mission/point in the game? Cus I feel like there hasn't been one made.
Almost every Japanese publishers make rereleases of games with extra content, not just P5. Street Fighter 2 and 4 for example do this with different versions. And Atlus did the same with SMTIII, P3, and P4.
Jules, much as I adore your shiny head and exuberant manner, as well as appreciating your absolutely heartfelt signoffs.... This video needed way more Nier Automata.
Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked: "Game Over" screen after 100 ingame days, without any indication of an existing time limit or information about why the game even ended. Super exiting for people who are new to the series and needed some time to get used to the gameplay in the beginning. After some slow days, they are basically doomed to fail because they won't have the time to solve the harder objectives for good endings anymore, no matter what they do from that point on.
I’m sorry but I feel like there’s been a GLARING omission: the ending to Battleblock Theater makes Castle Crashers’ seem positively quaint in comparison. IT. IS. *BONKERS.* An entire musical number about how you should buckle your pants, folks. And you should, because I guarantee you are NOT prepared for the insanity that you’re witnessing on-screen. The cherry on top is when the narrator says at the end “Ah! It all makes sense now!” No. No it does not… and I love it. XD “Wicky wicky give me that funk-y beat!”
Has there been a list about comrades who die halfway thru the game? Like in ghost of Tsushima *SPOILER when your horse dies and your left with some random mare to utilize. It broke my heart burying kage
It would be cool if ypu could do 10 games where you can't win a final boss/level/situation (like the end of hellblade or halo reach) and how long players have lasted.
The only solace I can say about P5R is when you start new game +, you can start with your maxed out weapons, armor and Persona’s you logged to your book. Bonus fun: start P5R with a P5 save file and you’ll start off with stupidly overpowered personas for Joker.
So you've never played another Atlus game, have you? This has happened with P3, P4, P5, SMT Nocturne, IV, Strange Journey... Also you can totally get all confidants in a single play through :)
It's also fairly easy to max all confidants with the new editions. I missed Judgment because I was lazy, but had the rest of them maxed by like 75% of the original game's length. But i'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this. It's also not the same as Asura's Wrath or DA:I hiding the "true ending" behind DLC because Persona 5 (base edition) is technically still the canon ending as of Strikers, this was just an expanded version of the game for people so inclined.
@Dying Star There is! And P5R actually simplified acheivements as well. I got the Platinum in a single run, which was impossible in Vanilla since that one required you to get pretty deep into a NG+ run to get one of the trophies. Basically, Royal is better in every single manner and the version that is recommended to newbies.
@Chloe Cartwright I messed up with Yosuke and still managed to get him maxed out on like the second to last day, just having to sacrifice unlocking one of the Showtime attacks to do so. That said, if you can't complete the palace in the minimum number of days for that palace I can see how it'd be harder.
What was the name of that game where in the ending you see Washington and Lincoln decked out in space gear coming out of a portal to assist you in the fight against aliens?
Hey Jules, It's okay. Megaten fandom is at their own throat as well. The only consensus I've seen from my time in the megaten fandom is that the music slaps in every game for the most part. Which is the best, who's the best character/protag and what had the best story is all nothing but asking for a fight for the most part.
Deadly Premonition's ending I think qualifies for 'Utter Nonsense'. I loved the game except for the last 5 minutes when they wrapped it all up, because WTH?! The meta explanation of 'talking to yourself' was a really great nod, but .. aliens?
I'm just now realizing, after years of looking at him, that Noel from FFXIII-2 is dressed like Fang. I didn't play the second game specifically because it didn't have my girl, how dare they half-ass replace her with him 😂 I know she comes back in the third game, though.
It's a terrible ending, but i don't think it's nonsense... At the time, they didn't know where to take Desmonds story, so they basicly wrote him out, and the big FU of the ending is mostly that they made both Desmonds sacrifice and Junos release completely pointless a few games later! Desmond is technically still around if Valhallas ending is to be believed, and Juno was taken care off in a comic, and just kinda vanished as a plot point after Syndicate with no explanation in any of the games
As much as I like persona, I've been waiting to play 5 till I can afford royal, I bought 5 with all the content just before it came out and since I've got a list to go through it's been moved down just because of what's not in the original
Since i had played ps5 before ps5 royal had came out, i was prepared for looking for the bonus ending, and personal i do love it and think its great but, i feel like people dont appreciate it as much, if they didnt play the orginal p5 game
No, the difference is Persona 5's was an actual DLC expansion instead of what was planned to be in the original game. Or at least that's the argument most Persona fans tell me when I say I think it's just as predatory towards consumers as Mass Effect and AW doing this.
MDK was never a serious game. It was made by the same guy who brought us Earthworm Jim, which was very quirky. MDK’s marketing also made fun of itself. People thought MDK stood for Mouse Devours Kitten for a long time because it was plastered all over comics in the 90’s. While the ending is bizarre, it’s not unexpected knowing the creator.
It's ok James, i haven't played Persona 5 either. If i'm being completely honest i haven't played any of them although they do sound and look pretty interesting. 😄👍
I'm surprised final fantasy 13 isn't brought more often with how bad and outrageous its writing, with that magical that literally goes out her way to let the world die because she's scared to face reality and how they were clearly trying to make lighting the next cloud (she's literally named after the weather like him) and when it didn't work forced a bunch of fan service down people throats. I will admit that's only what I have heard from joshscorcher but it's nice some of the odd writing is finally being brought up.
But he’d beat every one of them. It’s too easy
@@josesamaniego7773 Haha ok then the top ten bosses jules could beat the fastest then? 😂
I’d buy that for a dollar!!!!
Good idea
Life currently has me in a weird spot with no clear path to be seen, but I handle it one day at a time. One of the few things that bring me serenity and actual Joy is those videos by Jules. All your efforts are appreciated, friend.
First timer with the suggestions, but here it goes: 8 creepiest/scariest areas in video games.
Much love to you and the team all the way from Jordan.
I know it's been mentioned a billion times before, but the Shiba dog ending for Silent Hill 2 could have been on this list, it still cracks me up
That wasn't "nonsense", it was Brilliant writing.
Haa! Just kidding, it really could have fit right in with this list.
😄👍
Suggestion for a commenters edition: the "Spectacles of Eros" endings in BlazBlue. To be honest I think makoto's gag reel is more nonsense and funnier Ragnar speaking in baby talk and beating everyone up is absolutely hilarious
The best part of the P5 ending is that its almost identical to P4 Golden’s added ending
Thanks allot Jules... you brought back my memory of seeing the "My name's not Shane" ending that I long ago purged entirely from my memories... Something I wish I could do to many of my troublesome memories... purge them I mean...
Tues your own adventure feels like a couple of old buds just sharing stories they know or other people told them!!! I LOVE IT!!!!
I thought the Billy Ze Kick ending was only for the French version of the game. Without internet at this time to check on I had no clue it was also the end for every countries.
Top Ten Bosses Jules can defeat if he was magically sucked into a video game.
This one is suggested on every video dude does
The gold fish from earthworm Jim 😂 there first one for the list
I’d watch it tbh
Well, it wouldn't be meathead... or whatever he calls that red thing.
I smoke weed everyday so I decided to make my very expensive habit into something productive so i smoke weed on my RUclips channel to make some money back 😈💨
I had heard that MDK stood for "Mission: Deliver Kindness," and I still believe that to this day. Definitely deserves a remaster.
MDK or the game I have to play once a year to prove to myself it wasn't an lsd fuled fever dream
Lol it's hilarious that Jules put more emphasis on Galactus than Franklin Richards when Galactus is Franklin's Herald that he can summon at will.
and then there's me that has played through Persona 5 Royal 3 times now 😂
The second you brought up Castle Crashers, I knew. “Oh boy, here we go!”
Jules and James are absolutely hilarious. They should start their own channel where they do random short skits or something
Yeah nobody plays tekken for story lol
Great series, nonsense story, and I love every second.

I think one of my favorite Tekken endings is when Law rolls up to Paul on a bicycle and with an almost dying breath tells him to "Pay the bill."
Jules, much as I adore your shiny head and exuberant manner, as well as appreciating your absolutely heartfelt signoffs.... This video needed way more Nier Automata.

Wilhelm Cobb was the real MVP of this video, lol.
Totally amazing video Jules from what culture gaming, fantastic job.
for persona 5 royal Dr Maruki the last boss you just have to MAX him out for the Ending not all XD
don't you need to max out the new party member too?
10 betrayals starting with you chucking Corny the Cobb

Has there been a list about comrades who die halfway thru the game? Like in ghost of Tsushima *SPOILER when your horse dies and your left with some random mare to utilize. It broke my heart burying kage
Pantasy star 4 if you played this game you know who I'm talking about
It would be cool if ypu could do 10 games where you can't win a final boss/level/situation (like the end of hellblade or halo reach) and how long players have lasted.
Don't worry Jules, I'm fine with your Persona 5 talk. I'm one of the good ones. Thanks again for an awesome list

I can't believe you didn't include the Silent Hill ending with the dog. That was the first one that came to mind when the video started.
Deadly Premonition's ending I think qualifies for 'Utter Nonsense'. I loved the game except for the last 5 minutes when they wrapped it all up, because WTH?! The meta explanation of 'talking to yourself' was a really great nod, but .. aliens?
Jules talking about the length of persona 5 , me just finishing the main part of MHW w 100hrs and still has to do iceborne😭😭😭😭😭
I'm just now realizing, after years of looking at him, that Noel from FFXIII-2 is dressed like Fang. I didn't play the second game specifically because it didn't have my girl, how dare they half-ass replace her with him 😂 I know she comes back in the third game, though.
James I would think twice about chucking old Cobb there. Did you see him in Castle Crashers... 5:43
I'm glad you mentioned mdk. I wasn't sure that game really existed
When I heard him say "Meat Zeppelin" I nearly blew snot out of my nose.
Yeah whenever you're in a video, all I think is "wtf did I just watch and why did I watch this"
The ending of AC III immediately comes to mind. I was furious at that ending
It's a terrible ending, but i don't think it's nonsense... At the time, they didn't know where to take Desmonds story, so they basicly wrote him out, and the big FU of the ending is mostly that they made both Desmonds sacrifice and Junos release completely pointless a few games later!

No, the difference with Asurah's Wrath and Persona 5 Royal is in AW you were paying $8 to fix the ending while in p5R you were paying $50 to break it
No, the difference is Persona 5's was an actual DLC expansion instead of what was planned to be in the original game. Or at least that's the argument most Persona fans tell me when I say I think it's just as predatory towards consumers as Mass Effect and AW doing this.

Sequels/Remakes that were better than they needed (or were expected) to be: God of War, Doom, Wolfenstein: The New Order, etc.
“My names not, Shane”. Cormac McCarthy could never.
i trolled my friends in castle crashers by getting every princess in the game but letting them get the last one
Do best songs (with lyrics) from games. For example songs like they have in Final Fantasy, Persona, Portal, Dragon Age etc.
