These things can run Warzone. 720p minimum settings for like mid 40s fps, but it can at least run. You just have to update the graphics drivers. The first 3 games you tested can run on a 10-year-old potato. This thing would be good for middle of the road games like Rocket League.
I have AMD. COD is optimized for drivers 23.10.1 if I remember right. So for COD you have to downgrade drivers to last year. COD is just being a dick. CW from Treyarch runs fine on current drivers thought.
I actually own this mini PC I used it as an emulator station, if you buy a cheap 720p or 1080p monitor you’d be surprised on how many games it can run! I played dark and darker, MWII, BO3, CSGO, and a bunch of older titles. You definitely won’t be able to run any of the latest AAA games but If you wanna play some games from the past this can definitely get the job done!
At that point just get a full pc. Not only is the chip in it a laptop chip, but you only get like 70% performance out of a external gpu. Gonna end up at like half the performance of a pc with the same specs and it will only end up being a few hundred dollars cheaper. Just buy a full pc and get a worse graphics card imo

You said amd graphics cards have been not working. But it's got integrated graphics on an older cpu, trying to run one of the largest games made so far
incorrect Gaming at 720p-1080p 60hz on most games is now possible across the more modern lines of amd and Intel igpus. With that being said-- intel igpus still struggle substantially with more demanding game when compared to AMD. Before anyone chimes in with "fanboy" this n that-- I daily intel cpus. The single core performance and idle power draw were enough to keep me. It doesn't mean AMD doesn't have quite a few Ws.
The 5500U is definitely not meant to run any newer AAA titles, as it doesn’t have an RDNA iGPU. The newer APUs like the 6800U with the Radeon 680M and especially the 7840U or 7940U with the 780M are the best options for anyone who wants a tiny gaming machine.
It’s still an iGPU. It’s not a proper graphics. But I mean…I never thought that an iGPU could run anything at higher resolution than 720p (except video playback) so Minecraft being able to run on 4k that’s more than impressive. I am an intel fan boy but I have to admit that when it comes to iGPUs the AMD wins here.
RUclips should work on any modern computer. I think all the GPU will limit is the ability to get anything beyond 720 quality. And WP engine (and I could be wrong) depends on what you run. As many of them are simple video loops, or simple animations that are probably as graphically demanding as the old window media players (the little effect vids) from the early 2000s. If it's doing anything that puts decent stress on a gpu (say an AMD or NVIDIA sponsored item) or something doing actual 3D animations then it might have a rough time. To note though I'm partially speaking out of my rear but going based off my understanding and past experience with such things.
Mini pc is mostly just for office work or best portable thing that can run desktops smoothly. Not really for gaming, i mean only little gaming wont hurt but don't expect great performance. Just mainly portability or if you have no room space and broke
i just want to play at 1080 60fps can this bad boy do it? what other mini pcs can do that? i don’t really have the time or money to go for a full build AT THIS MOMENT (will definitely change) just want something that’ll run stuff like project zomboid, lethal company etc
Hi. I used to have a minisforum HX90 and it had a ryzen 9 something or other with I believe vega 8 graphics, 16g of ram, etc. I don't think Zomboid ran perfectly but it was completely playable at 1080p and the only reason I upgraded that PC was because the minisforum UM690 with the 680m graphics went on sale for about $450. I'd highly recommend something with the 680m because I can run Far Cry 5 and New Dawn at around 40fps which honestly doesn't sound great but it means all of my indie games and older games run fantastic. Zomboid runs great on it too. I hope that helps, sorry I don't have more concrete specs. Oh, and the UM690 isn't a solid recommendation, it had major issues at launch and although my revision is after they fixed it it's still probably not the best for everyone. It's my main PC now though!
I don't understand why they don't start using mobile components. Like, throw in a mobile "H" or"HX" series CPU with a mobile GPU and they would very easily be able to run anything you throw at them. Depending on what mobile CPU and GPU they used, it would be able to run basically every game in the world on high-ultra settings. If not at 4k-8k resolution, they would not struggle at all with 1080p high-ultra settings. I mean, sure the cons of that would be the price of the mini pc. It would obviously increase the price by a few hundred dollars. But, I think it would still be a good option to have. It would still be considered as a "mobile" device because of how small and portable they are but not nearly as expensive as a gaming laptop and would still be cheaper than a regular desktop pc. Just not as powerful, it's not gunna be noticeable to the normal person who isn't into all the details and even the people who are computer "nerds" the preference isn't really anything noticeable when gaming. The portability of the mini gaming pc with the mobile components that are very similar to a gaming laptop I think would be a great gaming option for PC.
