A stellar line up. That dive watch is refreshing. So many hard angles and lines, so different from other more traditional divers. I love its aesthetic as well as its capability. Wonderfully presented by guru Mosso as usual thank you
Agreed. No reason to debase yourself waiting years, begging, or paying over list for a ceramic AP when this exists with a full bracelet. AP even allows its factory boutiques to charge over retail these days, so who knows what you'd be paying even if you were on the short list for a ceramic RO. Best, Tim
I been saying it for awhile now that Zenith needed a diver in the line-up. I still hope they bring back the Zenith Super sub sea diver chronograph. The vintage one is stunning
Wow! This video may have just sold at least 10 new zenith watches. Your coverage, explanation and attention to detail are something extraordinary. Keep up the good work! Zenith might need you to cover their watches as a brand ambassador.
Chronograph is beautiful, but divers are more nod to the past than anything. Thierry Nataff’s era cases with their rotating bezels look way better. The dials where not for all (especially on some Xtreme models:)) but otherwise these watches looked way better than most current Zeniths. Hell, it’s shape is better than Rolex and Omega and most other “classics”. It’s both masculine and elegant, tool-like and yet looking more expensive than a cutout from slub of steel (I’m looking at you Rolex). And no old-school vintage looks that seem to be coming from actual past in a time-machine. Sadly most people never scrutinized those Defy Classics and Def Xtremes in person.
That new chronograph is going to be a well deserved hit. They know their way around that complication. The Extreme diver, technical divers aren’t my jam, but they brought out an interesting watch. It’s got it’s own thing going and the finishing is quite interesting. Lots of little details. The Revivals, truth be told, they tend to be my favorites and the Defy Revival shown here is quite fine. It doesn’t fit my style, but it’s a great watch. The first time I saw a Defy Revival, I don’t know how to look at it. Still avant-garde. One of my own best watches is an A385 Revival - keep the Revivals coming Zenith. My only let down- I read an interview from Zenith’s CEO, while I’m not sure if he’s still there, he talked about an update of the Elite line. That would be very welcome.
I’m a Zenith fanboy without a Zenith. Stellar design, they made the right choice by bringing back the dive line. Hope they now bring back the day date “defy”
First Zenith diver since the days of the Rainbow Elite, which were great watches. I have a 37mm De Luca dive watch with a black lacquer dial and really love it.
I used to own the Zenith Rainbow diver. What a gem of a watch that was under appreciated. I wish I still had it I would love if Zenith brought back the Zenith Super sub sea diver chronograph
@@lonewolfemcquade8133 A great suggestion and maybe Zenith will hear you on that. The Rainbow Elite black dial was really lovely along with of course the mango!
There is a LOT going on with the design of the extreme diver. I don’t know if I love it or hate it but it definitely deserves a really good ‘in-depth’ look on release. One aspect I think is an absolute success is that enormous minute hand lume block, it’s just so confident. Compare with the Bremont and Montblanc divers recently release that are about the most apologetic and generic dive designs I’ve seen.
I love that defy chronograph! Appreciate the review! Quick question Tim. You have mentioned in the past that column wheel vertical clutch chronographs can have the chronograph function frequently running for long periods of time without wearing out the parts. This is a lateral clutch. Can you run the chrono regularly (if you wanted to) without significant wear? If I misunderstood what you have shared in the past, please let me know! Thank you!
When I shot videos for Zenith at the corporate level a few years ago, its instructions were to avoid running the chronograph continuously. Since Zenith only uses lateral clutches, my rule of thumb is that you only run the watch for as many hours as the largest chrono counter - 12 hours in this case. Run it regularly for sure. Just don't leave it wandering indefinitely if not strictly necessary. Best, Tim
Zenith is also becoming my favorite watch brand. No other brand have so many models and variants that I personally like. And your videos Tim, are the best. I highly apprecitate this and similar content :)
The Zenith diver at 2:42 seems to borrow design cues from Breitling with its orange color and rectangle on the seconds hand. The crown and date at 4 o'clock seems to borrow design cues from Seiko. Is this an homage watch?
It's literally a reproduction of the vintage watch we showed in the video - Zenith's own A3648 from 1969. What influenced those designers ages ago, only Zenith (or possibly nobody) knows. Best, Tim
The extreme diver is one of the standouts this year imo.
What an inspired lineup. I did not expect to wake up this morning and be floored by Zenith.
Zenith is a gem. I'm not sure how an LVMH primary brand flies so far below the radar.
Best,
Tim
Sounds like low blood pressure, are you pregnant?
@@jamesblonde2271and this evening I have a baby… three hours keep coming. Thanks for the heads up.
Some nice pieces from Zenith there. Excellent presentation.
A stellar line up. That dive watch is refreshing. So many hard angles and lines, so different from other more traditional divers. I love its aesthetic as well as its capability.
Wonderfully presented by guru Mosso as usual thank you
That ceramic tourbillon is fantastic. Extreme diver is pretty fancy too… love that it comes with 3 straps.

Love all those , Zenith has nailed it.
That extreme diver is special...putting it on the list
Agreed. Lovely touch with the lume.
I agree. It's a sweet watch!
Highly recommended. I've met a lot of good folks from Zenith, and it seems the company is run and staffed by real watch enthusiasts.
Best,
Tim
100%, immediately put that on my list. Best release of watches and wonders in the 5-15k range.
Which color are you thinking? I’m leaning to blue, but the black is really nice too

I'd love to work with Zenith! I always regarded it among my very favorites.
Best,
Tim
I really love that Diver, price maybe not so much but that's a damn nice release.
The Diver looks awesome.

$11k for that Diver is such a good value, within a generally great lineup by Zenith.
Somthing fresh. Finaly
Instead of Tudor or r.lex
is it day-fi or defy?
I’d say the latter. But only a brave man questions Mr Mosso! 😉
Seems reports of the demise of the integrated bracelet were greatly exaggerated, fine by me though it’s a great look
Great coverage Tim & Co.. I hope you do all the brands like this, I unfortunately don't have time for the Monday livestreams any more.
First. New diver looks great, did I hear 37mm?
For the A3648 revival, 100% - 37mm
Best,
Tim
Interesting. I tried the smaller Bathyscaph and thought it was too small but will give this a go. Cheers
Zenith had the best releases of Watches and Wonders 2024
Definitely the most consistently cool. There's something to love in each of these new watches.
Best,
Tim
They will not sell

I thought Tim would review IWC first but honestly my opinion Zenith is becoming more and more wack. IWC did incredible job with Portuguieser

Thanks but no thanks, I’m going iron walking for that skyline. That’s right, I’m a steel monkey, a highrise jockey, and I’m heaven bound.
It would be nice if Tim would tell us his personal favorite new Zenith watch from each category (diver, chronograph, etc.), and why.

Love the Defy Extreme Diver. This and the green dial dial VC Overseas were my favourite releases this year.
These looked rubbish on the press release photos but videos of themreally highlight their atributes….really cool watches
The Primero seems inspired by Elon's new pickup. Or vice versa.
Chronograph looks interesting but it’s got poor dimensions. They just can’t get it right
buddy your clock is going mental behind you !!!!
last diver would be my choice but at half price at most
The Defy Revival Orange Diver is very cool.
Hi Tim!!! ❤
I can’t tell you how munched I learned

Brilliant! Thank you Tim for being the ultimate subject matter expert! Stay well!
Tosh.0 but for watches
Can't get enough of the Defy Extreme Diver with the blue dial. After seeing macro shots of the dial I was smitten.
Zenith is also becoming my favorite watch brand. No other brand have so many models and variants that I personally like. And your videos Tim, are the best. I highly apprecitate this and similar content :)
Zenith is on a roll
I am extremely glad that Zenith is trying to give us new watches instead of changing a color on an existing watch and calling it a day.
Sorry I'm not feeling any of them and I love the Defy black dial small seconds
I like the defy diver and its vintage connection to the older model. It reminds me of the Jaeger Polaris II.
they look really great. Bet they look even better in person. I don't think I've seen one yet. I like the three hand Pilot a lot, too.
Dope
No
Is everyone taking a drink every time he say Day-fye?
I think you missed a button on your shirt. But the white is nice! Still looking good Tim!
Possibly. I can be absent minded.
Best,

That Zenith is pretty.
why can't we just pronounce "defy" properly?

They have lost the plot - what a pile of junk !
Is it me or does it look like someone hit him a set of clippers right down the mid of his forehead 😂
I suspect it just fell out the usual way - baldness.

it is you
