- Spoilers for season 2 but you should know that already. First time I've managed to finish an animatic, there are things I could fix but I was just having fun with this, I'm not going to torture myself over the details.

I've loved this song since I was a little kid and I've been waiting for the chance to use it as an animatic for years! I think it fits the two of them better than most lol

the song choice is CRAZY! tho i feel like it’s cruelly unfair to call crowley the Hate since he proved in s2 he’s literally carrying the Love within his entire being but it’s so pretty, you did a wonderful job! thank you!
"Hate" is probably just bitterness, even in the song.
neither of them can really accurately or fairly be called "hate," I think it was just a matter of which lines of the songs fit who better

crowley is so affected by aziraphale's departure that he doesn't even care about the stars anymore, even though they were his pride and joy during creation.

I'm glad you liked it! It's not necessarily my first animatic, but it is definitely the first one I've actually finished and felt confident in posting lol. All of it was done in Rough Animator on my ipad. I believe there is also a desktop app for it as well and it is phenomenally cheap as far as animation software goes. I'm sure there are other good alternatives, but this one got me through my thesis film and I'm used to the mechanics of it :)
i'm broke but i checked out the website and there's something so endearing about it, i'll definitely check the free trial out!!!

Also everyone’s talking about Crowley’s stumble through the door (that was amazing don’t get me wrong, the fluidity was gorgeous I agree).
But is NOBODY gonna mention 2:37 where the outline of Crowley on the hood of his car makes him look like he’s shaking cus he’s crying so hard!? That fking broke me and I think I about cried too. I know it prolly wasn’t intentional but damn I love that shaky outline style in animation; it adds so much life to the characters imo. Like they’re breathing if you squint hard enough.

Holy heggin heaven! This!!! I've loved this song since i was a kid and you really did it justice. The framerate is ASTONISHING for such a long animatic, this must have taken ages but it's so worth it! Hold on this deserves a full-on shot by shot comment, one a those comin right up

Honestly I can see these two in a lot of avett brothers songs! I’ve been listening to them probably since I was born so it’s really cool to see some of my favorite things come together like this
I'm in the same boat! I've loved the avett brothers since I was a kid and there are a lot of fitting songs that I'm tempted to make animatics out of, but we will see if I have the drive to actually pull them off lol
