Every time i have traveled from ZRH to BCN I get the exact same trip. Have done the route about 9 times. Never on the BCN - ZRH leg, only on the way back. Main reason: the principal airway / route that is used (the trip itself is only 1h 20 mins) passes over several mountain ranges where disturbed air is frequent. Even if you have a slightly different routing which takes you a little bit north of the mountains you get disturbed air. Once you clear the mountains and reach the VOR between Lyon and Valence the flight is then very smooth (with exception of some chop over the Pyrenees)
I did ZRH to BCN a few years ago... It was the craziest flight I've ever been on. Didn't know the day before all flights were cancelled due to weather. Took the first flight out and was in for a real treat from takeoff to landing. For some reason though, I didn't freak out. I just made my peace with God and said "if it's my time, it's my time". Anyway, turbulent flights are subjective, but I remember asking the flight attendant afterwards and she said it was crazy!!
Amazing!!!!I flew Alicante-Geneva on the same day, 25th March with Easyjet and it was same!!!!!!!!!!When I saw your video, i was thinking...... Amazing, same turbu as my.... And I checked my ticket and SAME DATE!Was very bumping from Marseille to Geneva, over the sea was better! And also, I was happy to catch theses turbulences on my camera, but when I showed to others, didn't look so bumping.... Only feeling was quiet bumping!Nice video!
Is it me or whenever i sit next to the wings i keep looking at them with anxiety thinking they might break into pieces, cuz they look so light and fragile

As others have said wouldn't call the turbulence intense, however did notice you passing mountains so you will no doubt hit thermals coming off of these. Similar thing for me when travelling to iceland and got quite bumpy over the scottish highlands.
My only question is: If you were in Switzerland, why the hell would you want to go anywhere else?????? I've been there twice and had tears in my eyes when I left.
Literally the only time I've been speechless at how beautiful the scenery around me was when I was in Switzerland. Went on a 3-week tour of Europe including London, Rome, Paris, etc.. and nothing can compare to the feeling I had when I was on the Swiss Alps and was looking around the beautiful country.
Charles The Hammer Martel In Italy we have everything. If you like mountain environment you can for instance go to Valle d’Aosta north west of Italy , there are a lot of castles also.
@@chlo6004 Not as scary when you know how the plane works. The fact that the wings bend and wave so much is a good thing. Working as designed. Edit: Watched to the very end. I've been through way worse than this.
I didn't feel any turbulence in this video ,especially in my bed where I am ....do not forget that you are flying on the A 321 ...the tiny wings he got are mostly easy for any wind mouvement ....if you take off on the A330 /300 for example ,you will not feel the same thing and the airplane will have a different comportment to this wind .
Worst turbulence for me was over Swiss Alps from AMS to Athens. Nothing like a plane full of Greeks screaming. It is usually turbulent over the Rockies in the US. Another is Palm Springs during the summer.
Was flying from Minneapolis to Seattle, pilot came on to tell us about a thunderstorm. It appeared closer than what he said, it was at night amazing sight 😨
As a retired pilot, I would regard that as significant turbulence , particularly noticeable from about 8:88 onwards. Those who decry the original poster, frankly are talking arrant nonsense
I was once flying cross country from Palm Beach Fl. to Seattle Wa. Pilot took a right turn between two thunderstorms - for 2 hours even the stewardesses were strapped in.
Looks pretty normal to me. Maybe you had one of those cameras with stablizers. Unless there was major movement in the cabin...this was a normal flight.
Good point. However, the perception of turbulence is highly subjective, even for the professional pilot community. In addition, RUclips is replete with videos purporting to show so-called "severe" or "heavy" turbulence when in fact it is light chop or moderate turbulence at the most. One has to wonder about "click bait". I notice that the reference to "heavy" turbulence in this video's title has since been removed. Bottom line, I respectfully submit that severe turbulence is a serious aviation event, and people who post videos need to be careful not to mislabel.
Nice bit a wing flex at the end of the video there. Uncomfortable for passengers, but perfectly acceptable and as other users have commented, more a light chop with the winds gusting causing the side to side motion.
Funny! I flew the same day from Alicante to Geneva and like this movie it doesn't like so much turbulence but yes, it was shaking a lot, starting over around Marseille, half ways !
This is light turbulence, my recent norwegian flight from florida had 1.5 hrs of non stop turbulence and cabin crew was asked to take their seats and buckle up, it was a shit show
Talk about shit show my 2 hour flight turned into 5 hours. From Washington to las Vegas. Their was a thunder/lighting storm over Vegas.we had to fly through the storm and was rerouted to California because the wait time was 2hours to land and we had 50 mins worth of gas left and the pilots were max on their hours. Not to mention we had a whole row of little kids traveling without parents for a field trip screaming the whole time !
This is nothing, compared to a flight I once was on in a 747. The spoilers activated to minimize the effect of turbulence. I believe the pilots were not aware. But they must have felt the turbulence as we all had.
It's a normal turbulence I have seen worst turbulence my flight wre 5:30 am in early morning after 15 minutes of takeoff Plane fell suddenly down almost 200 ft down it was a very scary movement I cannot explain
Great video! Personally I think that turbulence is not heavy at all, maybe to some it would be moderate at times, but to be honest that kind of turbulences is what I would call a constant light turbulence. I must say however that although it was light it is uncomfortable and some people might get nervous. Definitely you were going thru some part of the jetstream.

Wow beautiful
Didn't see any turbulence out of the norm but damn that was a quick alt climb. 😁
Very nice
Excelente avión, muy buen aguante
Wow its an amazing flight. I love flying 😍😍
This is perfectly normal. I tiny bit of turbulence is just like driving your car going over some pot holes on the road.
Amazing wingview ! Great video mate :)
Excelente video desde Chile abrazo me encanta los aviones no tengo miedo a las turbulencias cuando volaba desde pta Arenas hasta Santiago 👍👍🤣
Wow that was a fast altitude climb! Turbulence? I didn’t see any. Nice video!

Light turbulence!!
Flying from France to Melbourne was amazing in the Airbus A380.
Note Airbus A380 takeoff was so smooth
AIR TURBULENCE ...................... IT'S WHAT MAKES FLYING EXCITING !
Call that turbulence? Are you kidding me?

I love when the plane is in storms

Normal turbulence especially over Switzerland anytime you fly over mountains you will get that
Nonsens.

I hate flying over Switz. Always turbulence. My Air Dolomiti flight from TRN - MUN was like a rollercoaster!
topgun767 well mountains create extraordinary weather sometimes, that’s nature.
Nice view of the wing during the whole video?
Nice....Thank you....
Why were flaps retracted so late?
I always compare turbulence to it being a bumpy bus ride.
Looks more like a little bit of “light chop.”
Not at cruising, you got that entering/leaving jet streams, sometimes in waves , and it can be quite "unconfy"
I didn't see any turbulence, it's normal to have a little shaking When crossing clouds
07:45
Not sure I'd call that "heavy turbulence" though...
jmcyow the plane was swaying and bouncing a lot. Enough to stop in flight service the rest of the flight.
jmcyow you don’t know what it felt like
