This video shows some steps on how to remove a steering-wheel without an airbag (Nissan 96 auto). Basically, it would be necessary to follow some procedures and use appropriate tools.
It is not so difficult as it seems, so...if you as an upholsterer do not find a specialized technician, you would have to do it yourself.
Furthermore, I think it would be useful as a basic to my interested users who want to learn how to leather wrap steering-wheels
I hope you enjoy it !

I swear you can make a tutorial about anything and make it so simple to understand without saying a word. Keep up the great work.

I literally bought the same exact puller from Harbor Freight and it excluded instructions. This was very helpful. Thank you.

Hi Chris, thanks for appreciating my informative tutorial!!!...in fact, a 'visual method' was applied. You have a keen eye to watch things farther away!
At this moment, I'm working on a first video-course on 'how to leather-wrap a steering wheel' and I'd like my students to know how a wheel without airbag is taken off.

@@fatgamerrosario4058 Some wheels are easy to remove without a pulley but it is much better to have a puller at hand.

Hey, thanks for making this vid! I attempted to fix the horn on my car, except the steering wheel was locked, so I couldn't remove a peice which was covering the wires. So now I know how to take the wheel of and fix my car!
    Once again, thanks!

My steering wheel doesnt have thread for me to screw the screws in

There is also a puller with removal arms that can also pull the wheel upwards.
Sometimes it is not necessary a puller. The steering wheel is released just by swaying the wheel back and forth.
In the worst case scenario and the steering wheel should be removed anyway it would be advisable to make thread to let the screw in.

You know why people watch these videos because we don't know what we're doing, oh and yeah trying to save money. I bought a pressure plate tool and I thought it would do both the pressure plate and the steering wheel nooooo it doesn't work that way so I bought a steering wheel puller. I don't know what even all the parts are there's all kinds of everything so I guess people need to start from the basics when they make videos - this is a screw, this is the base Etc. I put the screws on the side and the bolt in the middle screwed down the bolt in the middle and nothing, I think my steering wheel is welded on - course it didn't help that I used the pressure plate by mistake because that just made the steering wheel tighter.
