This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on this subject. Too many trainers train bitework with gunfire and it makes the dogs bite the handler when they draw the gun because of the association. Training to deal with the stress is 100% spot on. Great video
I learn so much with every single video you make. This one is on of the best! Thank you so much for your expertise - the best trainer and logical trainer ever
I train my guide dogs for stress levels and for certain situations. I start stress training with a speaker playing whatever noise we're training for, and gradually get louder as the puppy plays. Eventually they're sleeping with the speaker at full volume. Once it's time to go to the train, the dog is already comfortable with the noise, so now we watch the movement and the people while we enjoy a snack. Once they feel comfortable we investigate and maybe take a short ride. Situational training comes at the top and bottom of steps, at intersections, and with cars trying to run us over. We do this to teach the dog how they should react in those situations so they can effectively communicate with me, and avoid danger.
Wow, this applies to a situation I know of. My opinion was based on the same reasoning, but naming things helps make it applicable more widely and ACCEPTED more easily.
Hans the G.O.A.T!
😊👊

Thanks for sharing your training techniques.
I had to watch this one 2 times to get it straight in my mind. It makes complete sense!
Glad it made sense
it is important part of the training!!
"I bought you, so you better do it"
Brilliant
Yes, some people think that’s how it works
Great video! It makes complete sense with hans philosophy..! I and my cane corso yara are following hans instructions and results are coming..
Thats so great to hear :)
Fantastic insight on conditioning. Thank you Hans!! Oh and bonding with handler so important!!
I'm glad it resonated with you!
Could you please consider doing a video on "proofing"
I will put that in the hopper :)
proofing? That is a big word. in protection
or detection. or what exactly is on your mind?

I'm glad it was helpful.
Hans, what are your thoughts on single puppy litter? Does that create issues?
Some say so but I did not noticed.
💪🏻
👊
How does the dog know whom to bite?
Training.
I totally agree, if you condition the dog to a command you can go to the moon and he will understand that he must be alert pozorrrrrr
Glad it made sense for you
You can not condition a dog to situations but only judgment
You can condition judgment? That is interesting.
It's quite the opposite
Your judgement in this situation is faulty.
@thankmelater1254 I actually don't know what I was trying to say.
I might circle back;)
@@AnnaAnnieAnneofGreenGables Neither do I. But I won't :)
Bite who?
Bad guy.
Grow up
