Listening to this playlist while feeling *extremely* low mentally on a late Sunday night somehow makes me feel important and meaningful to this world as a part of humanity. It doesn't make me feel small and irrelevant, which is what my dark thoughts have me almost believing. Therefore, if I'm big and important to the world, I should also be big and important to myself. The biggest trap is losing us to our own selves. Human minds are the biggest weapon and that's rarely a good thing, especially when it comes to mental health... I'm glad this genre, and particularly, this playlist exists.
As I am writing this comment, the Japanese rain is falling so heavy in our garden of white stones, me drunk in wine, feeling the mood of the music. This is a beautiful experience. Peace to you all beautiful people.
this makes me want to binge watch all the 80's fantasy movies..... labyrinth, neverending story, ghost busters, legend etc....... it makes me want to relive those particular moments of my childhood when everything was still surreal and mysterious. fun yet frightening. music really is a time machine.
I love 'Glitch'. Although the mix was only uploaded 2 years ago, there are so many memories attached to it. I was a lonely teenager from a small town, filled with depression and hate against a cruel world I hardly knew. I was just getting into dark synth, randomly discovered some random tracks on RUclips and then, one dark and stormy night, I discovered Glitch. After listening to the first 5 minutes of it I suddenly had a feeling I never had before. I felt hope, I felt love and fulfillment; I felt like the nameless hero of a dark tale, strolling through the back alleys of a neon-lit dystopian future. Only then I realized that all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. I didn't die this night, but maybe a part of me did, and as I woke up the next sunny morning I wasn't the same human as before. And now, two years later, I finally finished school, got a girlfriend and am grateful for all those small, joyful moments which weren't lost in time yet. And to all you people out there who are struggling with school, parents or life itself, never give up! There will be a moment in time in which you will see attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion and C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. And you will wake up and know that the rain stopped pouring down on you and you woke up to a new dawn full of hope and love. And now go out there and live life to it's fullest, it is too short to just stare at holograms. Megacity 1 is waiting for you!

This vid is in my faves so that i can return to it when feeling particularly moody. Reminds me of how the optimism many felt a couple of decades ago festered into a thick blanket of melancholy.
Is it just me, or does anybody else imagine movie type visuals to go along with these mixes? Like an Interstella 5555 kind of thing, but more cyberpunk. You can't tell me the song at 17:53 isn't an epic villain's theme.

Media rarely makes me cry if ever, but I recently got into the cyberpunk genre by watching blade runner / ghost in the shell and this mix really evoked some feelings inside me that I can hardly describe. Coupled with the fact that I’m going though some stressful stuff in real life since I am at a point where I need to decide what I should do with my future, I feel kinda weird, emotionally numb if I would say so, or confused, I really don’t know. Damn.. why is life so beautiful but with seemingly no meaning? I am not a believer in god, as we are thought by the Bible, but I hope there is something out there, something that would give life meaning.. Sorry for the random spurt of thoughts, but I really needed to output my feelings
Humans are naught but a collection of experiences and memories. You, existing in this universe, are in a way the universe experiencing itself. You were made of the things that stars and planets were made of, reconstructed over billions of years of fusion and universal processes pulling us together. Billions of years from now, you will again become part of the universe and return to the ground, inert. They say that as astronomers and scientists become more familiar with the intricacy of it all, they begin to believe fiercely that something must exist beyond us; such is the beauty of the universe and of existence. The beauty of life is that whatever we choose to be our purpose can be our meaning. Nothing we do might matter on a billion year time-scale, but to enrich your experience and the experiences of those who will come after is to be human. A proverb for you: "Society grows great when men plant trees that they know they will never sit under." A little tangential, but maybe it'll spark something.
00:02 jam feels like the biggest plot twist have been reveled and feels you are going through many scenarios in frication of second and dots have been connected. Yes I do love to live in this kind of world in daily basis.
One day I woke up and A Synthwave was talking to me on a deeper level...connection was established. And I don't remember what was before then. Seems as if the world before Synthwave did not exist.
The song from the minute 24 Make me feel in love with no one in particular, I love that feeling, but at the same time I wish someone hearing this songs whit me.
instead of it reminding me of something else, it makes me dream and imagine the 2040's where this music is super popular and there's a whole sub-culture of cyberpunk night life.

Wow! Surprising mix, clean and deep.
NIce choice of words..accurate/.
I like it clean... and very deep
Woah, I actually know two of the producers on this list. I'm happy I worked with Fantom 87 he is such a nice guy. Everyone go follow him
"Speed Boat Theme's" artist name is Arcis.
She sank deeper and the word "GLITCH" faded into the background! I've just noticed it!!!!

Movies and music can totally give you the wrong idea/expectations of feeling in love. I wish you the very best.
as much as i love all your mixes, i keep coming back to this one. hand down a S tier mix. fucking love it
Dude, same
its my favourite synthwave mix
One of the better SW mixes
Synthwave feels to be at it's best for me when it evokes the cosmic.
All synthwave reminds me of Ryan Gosling and TRON.
reminds me of palm trees and killing soviet mobsters
reminds me of murderers with animal masks
instead of it reminding me of something else, it makes me dream and imagine the 2040's where this music is super popular and there's a whole sub-culture of cyberpunk night life.
hopefully its not cyber goth kids under a freeway...
Douglas Meyer cyber goth kids outside a nightclub under a freeway ftfy
Woooow, it's been five long years after I found out this video, since then I consider myself a big synthwave fan along its silmilar generes as retrowave, darkwave, chillwave, etc. Thanks a lot Astral Throb
Synthwave is REALLY fun to listen to when you're high.
Can confirm, high now
